    Odorhei are in an offensive crisis because of their two top players, Komogorov and Mihalcea. When they are not playing, the team is not scoring. In the last three games Odorhei did not score over 26 goals, and we should point out that they faced teams that are in crises. Vaslui suffered three back-to-back defeats by then, CSM were eliminated by Zamet, and Calarasi are the biggest disappointment of the season. They are currently scoring 26 goals per game.     Cesson are one of the teams with most unders in this league. Coach Sylle's focus is defense and then everything else. They are not fans of fast-paced games and their results so far have proven that. First and foremost the Paris game at 50 goals or the Dunkerque game at 52 goals. The game against MHB away is an exception. Their opponents rely heavily on defense as well. They did concede 30 to Sarano but after that they allowed just 24 and 21. Those games finished at 52 and 47 goals. Last season they played at 54 and 55 nit Cesson cannot allow fast-pace because they will not stand a chance in such a game. This will be a battle for every goal. Two years ago, they played a 23-23 draw here and today's game should be somewhere along those lines.     Saran won a point in the first round against St. Raphael and we should appreciate that. But that was a point against a team in poor form. It is enough to look at St. Raphael's performances and everything will be clear. Then they got a wake up call at home against Nimes. They were down by 12 at times. Nantes, on the other hand, have been great, they have the width and quality and they are recording great results. They won at Creteil by 6, and that Creteil is still stronger than Saran. Over the weekend they demolished Besiktas, they also reached the Supercup final. And they defeated Nimes, who defeated Saran, by 6. They do not relax, they give their maximum throughout the game. Saran have had a lot of problems in pre-season, they lost to second division side, they did not provide much resistance against Montpellier who are anything but in fine form.     Dinamo are a team that are playing the most dominant handball in Romania this season, they have the quality, two almost equal lineups and they are demolishing their opponents on the basis of that. This season they played only two games under this margin, both against their fierce rivals CSM. In all other games they scored a lot, like the ones against slower Resita or Temisoara. The same goes for faster teams, and for the Champions League. So they are always going over today's margin. Suceava are a team that do play a bit slower, but they had a lot of luck with the schedule. They haven't had any difficult away games so far, they mostly played at home against stronger teams. Odorhei scored 29 against them, and they are the 4th strongest team currently. Constanta scored 35 against them. Also, if we look at the pre-season and faster opponents, we again have an example of Constanta who scored 44, and Turda who scored 33. So there is a sample. Also another viable option is that the game could fall apart, which is something you can always count on with Dinamo. Satu Mare and Fagaras, teams of similar quality, were in the game in the first half, but later Dinamo started playing faster and easily went over today's margin. We also should not doubt about their approach because of the circus in the previous round at Resita. Players, the coaching staff and management are furious with the injustice they faced there, so Suceava will suffer a heavy defeat in Romania's capital today. Details

    This season Tartan are far from being ideal. Their offense depends on Rabek, while the rest of the team are static. They manage to record a couple of goals from counterattacks due to bad defenses, but today that could be a problem because Metalurg are very good in that area. If we take a look at Metalurg, then we see that their offense is very poor. A lot depends on Talevski who carries the entire offense. The rest of it is very modest. What's Metalurg's main weapon is the defense. They base their game on that, and we can notice that in matches against Veszprem, Brest and Vardar. Those are teams stronger than Tartan, and also quicker. All those matches Metalurg stayed under 50 goals. Presov managed to slow down the quick Montpellier and brought the match to 51 goals. Let's add that in the first round of the Champions League Metalurg played at 37 goals. These teams already met this season, and at the time it was 48 goals, but Metalurg were playing at home. Both teams want the top two spots and that is why this is a very important game. Medvedi have so far had two games that were somewhat important. Plus, there is that defeat when things were close and what it finished at 53 goals. Logrono has three games and two unders thi season. One of them was against Barcelona and one against Ademar.     Talking about the difference in quality here is not necessary. The only important thing to say here is that Fagaras' players struggle with the basis of this game. They have so far lost almost every half they played this season. Some were really humiliating, like the one against Turda (9-19). They aren't doing well in the championship either. They have a -5 and -6 against Contant and Vasluia home. It was -7 against Calarasi. Comparing those teams with Dinamo makes no sense. Granted, Dinamo have not covered this margin yet and that is the only downside to this tip. But it's enough to see which teams they have played - CSM twice, Turda and Timisoar.     CSM are a spaceship for Vaslui right now. They showed that in both official games so far. They first won a difficult away game at Calarasio by scoring 34 goals. In the derby against Dinamo they scored only 25, but they played well. Before that they won a tournament in Doboj. On the other side, Vaslui have sold everything they had, and that what's left is of questionable quality. That was best seen in the previous round when they conceded 45 goals against Turda who are weaker than this CSM. We also have a friendly that finished 33-33, but we should take that with a grain of salt. That was the third pre-season game for CSM, while Vaslui already played 8 games before that. We should also add that it was played at Vaslui. Last year, CSM, who were weaker while Vaslui were stronger, scored 33 at home. Anything but a Vaslui's full net would be a miracle today.     The stake here is the Champions League. We could hardly find a better motivation in either team to give their maximum. We could say that this is the peak of the season for both teams, everything after this would simply be a bonus. Presov have a difficult pre-season behind them, and the goal of the demanding pre-season was to prepare for this game. But Presov have a really big problem regarding pre-season. They played only one strong game that could be put into context of this game. Opponents like Zubri, Sasja and Izvidjac, cannot be put in the same sentence with Velenje. Besides, all these teams are young and they rush things. Yesterday's game is not relevant for the today's game, and neither are the two from the Czech Cup where Tatran are in a league of their own. So the only game this season that we can take into account is the one against CSM that ended 25-28. Of course the reason is not the fact that the game was in under, but the opponents were at the similar level. We have a similar situation in Velenje. With only one important difference, Velenje are a defensive team and their scores so far show that. In 11 games they played they have 9 unders on this margin, and we should take into consideration the fact that we cannot really eliminate any game and say that it is irrelevant, because they mostly faced even opponents. We can add to this the friendly game from last year that finished 24-28. But Velenje weren't led by Sibila back then, but by Cviljic who is an offensively oriented coach and under whom Velenje played at 60+ goals, which is unimaginable now. Details

    Cocks belongs to the group of unknown clubs, but even as such they have a chance to fight for the Champions League. This season they played a few friendlies as preparation for this tournament: HC Vise 20-21 (11-11), Wacker Thun 21-25 (11-16), Luzern 22-17 (6-10). In none of those games Cocks have not scored over 11 by halftime. Let's look at Velenje's last games. At a tournament in Hungary, 13-12 against Churg by halftime, and 15-10 against Varazdin. 15-9 against Maribor. It is obvious that Sibila has found the right formula and that the team's form is improving after the return from Germany. Sibila is known as a great defensive strategist.     Hlohvec are the second best team in Slovakia. They are to play Plzen in the Czech Republic vs Slovakia Cup. Last season, Hlohovec came in third in regular season in Slovakia with an average of 51,75 goals. They played the fast-paced Presov in the final. 44,55 and 57 goals were scored in those games. 25, 27 and 27 were scored by half time. Presov cannot be compared to Plzen because they are a better team that plays better-quality competitions.
    Plzen are the Czech champions who win titles on account of their good defense. Their average from the last regular season is 54,09 but things were completely different in the playoffs. They focused on defense a lot and that is why 21, 23, 19 and 23 goals were scored against Dukla by half time. The semifinal games were similar as 24, 25 and 24 goals were scored.
    We have two defense-oriented teams meeting here and let's just add taht Hlohovec stayed under this margin in a preseason game with Zubri, Pulawy and Bytrica. Plzen met some weaker opponents in the test period but let's just mention the under against Aarau.
    And the best for last - the meeting of these two teams from last season when they also met in this competition. Hlohovec won 23-19 back then. it was 13-9 at half time.
    We can expect something similar today and that makes the first half under a good option. Details

    Velenje already played a lot of strong pre-season games, they faced Vardar, Magdeburg, Melsungen. They lost most of them, but that was expected. Toskic and Brumen are their new acquisitions. Maribor, on the other hand, did not play a lot of pre-season games because they just started their pre-season. They also had a lot of departures, but their replacements are nowhere near Velenje's. The results in those friendlies so far are modest, a high defeat to Celje, then they defeated Ormoz, and in the last game they drew against Graz. The important thing here is motivation, and it is on Velenje's side. They will be playing Champions League qualifications in 10 days and they will give 100% today. Maribor have a lot of new players who still haven't caught up with everything coach Ivezic wants and the situation is no looking good. Velenje played 8 pre-season games against strong opponents, their team is working together well, and they will go for a convincing win, and it is hard to look at anything but the home team handicap. Maribor can be seen as guinea pigs here, all of their players are still getting their chances and we will use that. Velenje won their last head-to-head 30-23, and Maribor were stronger back then.     The final will see two defensively oriented teams. One are the best defense of the championship, winning games withthat, Spain. They didn't let anyone score over 12 in the first half except Iceland who are magnificent offensively, and Germany are definitely not that. Those 12 were scored by the fast Russia. So, Croatia, Poland, France and Slovenia scored 11 or less in the first half. They've got 3/3 on this margin, but that was exclusively against faster opponents and opponents who are defensively weaker than the ones today. Germany have 2/4 on this margin, but that's thanks to their offense. Sweden scored 10, Croatia 9, Hungary and Denmark 12 in the first half, and that's great, too. The friendly matches before the championship should be considered with a grain of salt. But still, it was 26 once, and 28 the second time. What's much more relevant is the WC match because then they had a motive, and the total sum was 23 after the first half. We can expect something similar today. Details

    This is the game for the semi-final, there is no point to talk about the importance of it. We can put the entire Championship into these 60 minutes, or what we'll be looking for, 30 minutes. We will go here for the under of number of goals before halftime. We're repeating the same thing we had yesterday for Denmark vs. Germany game, but the margin is better by a goal today. Let's just go over the facts. 24 against Netherlands, 21 against Macedonia, 22 Norway and 24 Germany. So we are talking about overall number of goals before halftime for Denmark. They have great defense and that is how they are winning games. Similar thing happened yesterday, and those that watches the game, know what we're talking about. Croatia don't have such good numbers before halftime, but that is because they faced faster teams. Hungary at 26, and they are maybe the fastest team in the Championship. Sweden at 28, but Sweden's defense cannot be put in the same sentence with Denmark's. Sweden are here on a 'field trip', and that game is not really relevant for this. The best example is the game against Germany when they scored 24 goals. Yesterday's game also doesn't fit in because of Norway's playing style. More important are friendly games before the championship against opponents like Slovenia and Macedonia, even Switzerland. Out of 6 games, they were under by halftime in 5 of them. In the qualifications for this competition we have two unders in three games. And the most important one was from the last World Championship. This Croatia were flying on the field then and they were solely focused of offense. There were 24 goals at halftime. And that is what we are looking for today, and it is likely that we will see something like that. A tough game with a lot of interruptions and without simple goals. Details

    A very important game for both teams. Denmark need the win here while Germany have a chance of securing the next round today. That means the approach will be serious on both sides. What was obvious in the first two rounds is that the Danes have a lot of problems with offense. They scored 31 against the Netherlands but 13 in the first half. Against Macedonia they scored 23, 10 before half time and 22 in total and 11 by half time against Norway. Germany conceded 10 to Sweden, 9 to Croatia and 12 to Hungary by half time. That game is not really relevant since Hungary have a better attack than Denmark and play much faster. If we take a look at some previous games Denmark played with teams of style similar to Germany's, we see that they scored 8 by half time against Spain at the last WC. At last last Euro, they played Spain twice and went low both times - 11 and 7. Germany changed their style from the last competition and limited Russia to 10 in Euro qualifiers.     Another try at looking for an under with Macedonia. There are a lot of reasons to go through with this. Macedonia's style is really slow. You can see it from the results of half-times so far. Against Denmark at 21, and against Norway at 19 goals. The Netherlands were at 24 against that same Denmark, and 21 against Norway. Also, Macedonia were under this margin by half-time in their preparation matches. At the last European Championship they had five our of seven unders. The only over was against the quick Russia and Romania. In qualifications for this tournament they had two out of three unders. The Netherlands also had two out of three unders in qualifications. Let's add their head-to-head from the year before last for Euro. At the time the match was also on a smaller number of goals, and the same was at half-time. Macedonia will go after a win, but if they will go running, it surely won't be in the first half. Details

Against Serbia and Iceland 9 and 10, respectively, at the same championship.In qualifiers for this Euro they didn't go over this margin against Switzerland and Faroe Islands. Also, they didn't go over this margin by half time in test games. Denmark, on the other hand, have the following results at the last World Championship against opponents of similar level: Switzerland 9, Tunisia 8, Croatia 9, Algeria 7, Qatar 8. The best is saved for last - the game from the last Euro, which was completely irrelevant. These two teams met in what was an irrelevant game and Denmark won easily but they conceded only 6 goals by half time. There is no reason for that not to happen today as well. Details

    Last night the Dutch vs Denmark game finished at 55 goals with a fast pace. There were a lot of technical errors and missed sitters on both teams and it's a wonder the game didn't finish at +60 goals. Norway, on the other hand, played at 51 goals but against the very slow Macedonians. The Dutch are much better when it comes to running and number of attacks and will have a lot more chances for scoring. Noway are among the faster teams at this championship but they are still one level higher than their opponents. In Euro qualifiers, Norway went over this margin in all three games while the Dutch never went over it. The reason for that were their slow-paced opponents. At the last World Champions, Noway went over this margin in 7 out of 9 games. The only two times when that didn't happen was against slow-paced Egypt and the powerful Spanish defense. The Dutch are in neither of those categories. Besides, we just have to take a look at their results from the European Open from last season. That is the unofficial EC. With fast paced teams, the Dutch always player very efficient games. Good examples are Iceland and Portugal. Spain literally trashed them. Something similar is expected today - an efficient game with fast pace for Norway and the Dutch keeping up with that.
