Tofes have been playing really fast basketball, spearheaded by the excellent American shooter Denmon and six of their seven official games so far have gone over this margin. The Hungarian coach says they prefer faster basketball, and they had games in the Hungarian league that went over 190 points so I don't believe they will relinquish their philosophy today. The reason I will go for this with a smaller stake is the inability to compare the quality of the Hungarians, that is, the Hungarian league, as Tofas are simply to far above its level. Details

Even though these players are very close to each other in the standings, I see this as a match in which one player has a significant advantage and that is the Uzbek player Dustov, who could be regarded as a specialist for conditions such as these. This is what he's shown on the last few matches since he's coming here after a challenger semi-finals and quarter-finals. He is a regular fixture on this tournament and it is obvious he likes these conditions. Even though a new, slower surface has been used this year, it's still a high altitude tournament and the players like Dustov have an advantage over players like Arnaboldi. My first idea was to go for Detroit's end result, but going for an under for the Jets at 2.02 is an even better choice. It is a very simple matter a Jets haven't scored over 2 in their last 5 games while Detroit have conceded over 2 only against Calgary in their last 4 games. The Wings have started playing well and not only are they scoring, they are playing great defense. They limited Edmonton to only 14 shots in the last game which speaks just how powerful they are. Howard will probably be the goalie as he is in great shape and it doesn't seem that he will concede over two goals. The bet has a huge value and it is worth taking. Details

As the fans of faster matches would say, Ortisei is the icing on the cake of this season. The conditions are really fast as the tournament is played in a small arena with a very fast court. In the past few years, the tennis in this arena has come down to serve and a few lightning bolt strokes. Good servers usually do well here, and we have a clash of this kind of players, I would even call them the specialists for these ocassions. even though Berrer is by far a more famous and proven name in tennis, I think we will see a far more equal match that the odds would suggest. The reason for this are the conditions and Kravchuk's game that fits well into them. The Russian has had 26 wins indoors and is the former semi-finalist of this tournament. I expect an even match in which the serve will dominate and the match will go over this margin without too much trouble. Details

Vesely cannot be a favorite in an indoor match under any circumstances. The Czezh is the best young player in Top 100 but only due to his clay matches. Even when he knew that he will play on the US Open, he stayed in Europe on clay. He didn't bother preparing for concrete and has only played a single match in the past month due to injury. Pouille has been playing consistently. He reached the semi-finals two weeks and lost against Struff (German reached the finals). Even the Frenchman prefers clay but has an aggressive forehand and likes to go forward. The Czech's biggest problem is his return in these conditions. He has a serve that tends to go over 2000 km/h but other aspects of his game need more practice. Vesely is a year older and has been rampant in the junior categories but Pouille took a set against him on both occasions. Considering those matches when the Czezh was ahead of his generation (serving over 200 km/h back then) and his lack of matches in the past month, the Frenchman shouldn't have a problem getting a set. Minnesota won five out of the last six home games which improved their game a lot, especially in offense. They played great all of the games except the one against the might Chicago. They beat great opponents, and almost all of the injured players are back on the team. Their goalie Harding is currently the best one in NHL (94,5% of saves in ten games). The defense is their great advantage in this game. On the other hand, this bet is great because the Devils will play without their three key forwards (Clowe Zajac, and Elias). They played home yesterday and didn't score and have to face Minnesota today already. To summarize, they're playing this back-to-back game without three forwards, they had only 14 attempts on goal yesterday and failed to score, and their goalies are doing horribly. Schenieder had been out for a while, but he might be back today. He won only once this season in the six games he played anyway, while Brodeur can't be considered top goalie anymore - he has 88% of saves in 6 games. All of that seems to have created the ideal situation for Minnesota to win. Details

Not that long ago, Chris Johnson had a season in which he rushed for 2,000 yards, but he is, just like his entire team, slightly slowing down. He rushed for 85,3 yards on average in the first three games, but his average in the last four is only 27,5. Locker's injury is one of the reasons for such numbers, but a far more important reason is the fact the Titans played against great defenses (the Jets, the Chiefs, the Seahawks, the 49ers). Coach Mike Munchak said his team will have around 35 rushings which means half of them should be Johnson's. Since the Rams are allowing 116,1 yards on the ground, I think a successful night of once perhaps the best running back is quite plausible. Details

Given all the problems they were faced with this season, the Buffalo team are doing quite well, but their opponent today might prove to be (too) hard nut to crack. The Chiefs defense is allowing their opponents the lowest number of points in the league (12,3), and the offense are pulling their weight as well - they are orienting on shot passes and a great number of rushings (Jamaal Charles). On the other hand, opponents's offense are not top of the league even when doing their best. They will be lead by an undrafed rookie today, who was probably undrafted for a reason. That doesn't necessarily mean he's bad , but young quarter backs are prone to losing their cool if things go south. His job could be even more demanding since team's three best players (Jackson, Spiller, and Johnson) are injured. The Chiefs' defense has recorded 39 sacks so far, which is nine more than any other team in the league. That says enough about their aggressiveness, and I don't doubt they'll be just as aggressive against the inexperienced Jeff Tuel. Details

Roy Helu is a substitute running back who is not given all too many chances next to the brilliant Alfred Morris. He recorded 36 rushings this season (140 yards) and caught 13 balls (145 yards), but I believe the Chargers' defense is good enough to stop him. In fact, the Redskins could orient on throws more, which is directly diminishing Helu's chances for getting a lot of balls. I'm hoping he won't get far even if he manages to catch a few. As for the rushings, he records between 5 and 10 of those on average, which should not be enough to get over this margin. The Chargers' will set their defense on defending the rushings because they're much more afraid of Griffin's legs than his arms. That is why I don't doubt Helu won't be too efficient today. This margin seems to be set too high for a substitute player. Details

Greece had a much stronger outer line than Israel, and the Dutch limited them to 10 goals in each half. I expect a strong defense by the Dutch once again today, as this is their forte and they must push their advantage. Israel will likely try a different approach, a much tougher and determined game than they gave in Belgium. This a key game of the qualifiers for Israel, losing to Belgium seriously disturbed their plans, and they will be in big trouble if they do not win today. Details

I've been looking for reasons to have faith in Chomutov for ten minutes and couldn't find any. I looked into the quality of both teams, how they're currently doing, the atmosphere within the teams, and so on. None of those segments tipped in the favor of the home team. Not even the home rink is an advantage for Chomutov - they are the worst home team in the league (10 points won in 9 games), and besides, the fans are currently more oriented on the firing of coach Celanski, than on their team's game. I can't help but think not even players would be very unhappy if he was to get sacked. Trinec were in a bit of a crises, but won the last two games. They beat last year's champion Plzen in the last one without conceding a goal. To sum up, Trinec are a better team, Chomutov are on their knees for a while now (9 losses in the 10 last games), the visiting team are in better form and placing a smaller wager is better in this case. Cremona and Sassari are teams that are currently in completely different moods. While Sassari are performing at a high level and are scoring 90 + points with ease (over 100 on 2 occasions), Cremona haven't won a single game. They lost against Siena by 15 points, against Bologna by 5, against Brindisi by 22 points.They have been having problems with injuries and they lost their first point guard Chase. He was replaced by Woodside, and they brought in Tripkovic to cover this hole. Apart from Rich and Woodside they don't have too many player that could carry the game and that is Cremona's biggest problem. Sassari grind their opponents with their pace, they have a fast transition, all of them can score a 3-pointer and it is very difficult to defend against them. After their first defeat, they got 2 wins by a points difference of 13 and 15 points, respectively, and 2 in Eurocup by 19 and 15 points and a defeat against Bilbao in overtime. The Diener brothers are unstoppable, Marques and Caleb Green have adapted quickly and so has the versatile shooting guard Thomas. They have center Johnson who is doing the "dirty work" in the paint. All things considered, Sassari should extend their winning run. Details

Despite many changes, Trentino are playing very good volleyball. Led by Sokolov, they have Lanza and Ferreira, two young players eager to prove themselves, which definitely shows so far. Many wrote them off at the season opening, but they are proving to be top contenders. They have the great Birarelli in the block, their setters Santini and Suxho are getting along great with the offense, and they are looking better with every passing match. They won their last two without losing a set, and I believe we might see such an outcome today as well, as they are playing a Champions League game on Wednesday. Molfetta is a new team in the top league, and they can hardly take points in away games such as this one. I expect Trentino to win decisively, and will be taking a point handicap which should still be a few points higher. The more courageous among you may take a 3-0 win, which pays a bit more. Details

Zarja are in a bad place right now. They were knocked out of the Cup recently and embarrassed themselves against Sahtjor last round. On top of that, they can't count on a few key players today again. They are facing Dinamo who are currently playing their best game this season. Dinamo are on a five game winning streak with the impressive 19-1 goal difference. One of those five wins is the one against a lower division Cup win, but they managed to win despite virtually not playing with the best team. Zarja, on the other hand, lost to second division team Kramatorsk with their best team. Motivation might be another deciding factor today - Dinamo have the rare opportunity to catch up with their biggest rival Sahtjor today. That will surely drive them forward. They have never ever lost to Zarja - they won 13 out of the 14 head to head games and I expect they'll keep the tradition going. Details

Cuneo have not started the championship well, and the reason can be found among the setters. Right before this season they lost Grbic, a player they have been building a team around. They brought in Gonzalez and Coscione, but the former got injured, and the latter can only play in the next round. Freiriks came in as an alternative, and they have scored 0-2 with him so far, while Piazza used the other two in European competitions. Sokolov, who could decide games by himself, is gone from the offense, and it is clear Cuneo are struggling. In their last game vs Macerata, Latina have demonstrated they will once again be a tough nut to crack this year. They have plenty of experienced international players who know how to play games like these, and despite being underestimated they certainly have their chance today. The margin is a few points too low, and can easily be passed in my opinion. Details

I must admit I am a bit surprised by the odds on Savehof, who will try to take a big step towards passing to the next stage in front of a sold-out arena. The arriving team are Leipzig, whom they already triumphed over decisively some two weeks ago (28-34), and judging from what we've seen, the spread might have been double that if the referees hadn't held Leipzig in the game as long as they could. The German team has a clear problem: they can withstand 40-45 minutes of a high tempo game, but then the lacking rotation kicks in, a problem they have due to several long term player injuries. Savehof are perhaps the fastest team in their group, and have already demonstrated that they can demolish Leipzig, and I believe they may have an even easier job today. The key players of the German team (Kudlacz, S. Muller) played qualifier duels with their national teams, and then came the league derby vs Thuringer at home, where they also lost. Due to the increased stress, Leipzig did not have active practice since that duel at all, they only rested and did video analyses. On the other hand, Savehof could completely focus on this duel, and they should be able to take advantage of that. Their only worry is the possibility of a very aggressive 5-1 (or even 4-2) defense by the away team. However, the problem is that using such a defense might be disastrous for the German team as well. It is very hard indeed to hold up such a defense for 60 minutes with a limited rotation of players like the one they have, and it seems that Leipzig are in a double bind. Overall, the Swedes have already demonstrated they know how to play vs an opponent like this one, and we should not doubt them. Details

This game is the Austrian league derby match, but both teams are already tired and looking forward to the following international break. Graz lost Sertich, their best defenseman this season, which I think caused quite a shock with the team - they barely managed to beat Olimpija 2-1 in the last game. Every other team usually scores a lot more against them. Graz have had the third best defense in the league so far, and Linz are second best in that aspect of the game. This is therefore the clash between the second and the third best defenses. Their penalty killing is very close to that, and neither team's power play is particularly good. Graz are the best team in league on penalty killing, and neither are in top five when it comes to power play. Linz are usually doing horribly away, and Graz will have to do without Sertich now (in offense). Furthermore, Graz went under 6,5 in the last seven consecutive games, four of which were at 5,5. They went over last time against Innsbruck on October 13 (they won 6-2). They went under 6,5 in the last four home games, and three of those were well under 5,5. Linz are league's best home team, and unlike Graz, haven't got only good defense, but good offense as well. But, they're not doing well lately. The 99ers usually play horrible offense and great defense and have a good goalie. But, Linz went under 6,5 in the last four away games, once even under 5,5. They were sightly over in total lately but only because they played home and had good offense. Linz are a completely different team away. While being the best home team in the league, they are only eight best team when it comes to the away games. Graz have the best and the forth best goalie in the league (Sabourin and Stefanszin). Who will be on the goal thus makes no great difference, and Ouzas, who is third best, will be Linz's goalie today. This wager can be even 5,5 under, but definitely has the value and a great possibility to work at the margin of 6 or 6,5 goals in the game. Details

This Romanian selection is filled with young, inexperienced but also low quality players. The barely managed to beat Italy 23-22 in an away game, and are going against an even stronger defense than the Italian one today. If Slovakia can play something well, it is defense, with their quality goalies. Neither of the teams have top players in the outer positions, the Slovaks are also missing Daniel Valo, a very important right back, and as the game is very important, one cannot expect a goal-fest.
