    If to all that we add the fact that the Saints haven't won against Aberdeen since 2011 (seven draws and won win of Aberdeen since then, the one last season on this stadium) it is clear they will hardly overturn that negative streak.     Three great home games by Medvescak give us an ideal opportunity to play on the Bears, as they host an obviously weaker opponent. Medvescak have beaten the great SKA and Barys at home, and also Ugra in the meantime, a team that can be classified as equal or slightly better than Avtomobilist. Medvescak's play in these three games was impressive, with all segments of the play improving. They limited the mighty Barys offense to only two goals, partly with a very good defense, partly with the great Brust in net, so the odds of 1.90 present a good value. The visitors are coming after a loss in Minsk to another rather poor team, so it's obvious they're not very comfortable at the away games in the Western Conference. The word from Medvescak is that they're not going to underestimate their opponents, they've learned their lessons, and we believe it to be true. No team has the fan support like the Bears, the team atmosphere is at its highest at the moment, the form is great, the opponent is not too strong, the odds are still good and the time is right to play on Medvescak to win.     Quality football is played at Piatra Nemat this year. Not only that, but they play equally well in away games, if we put aside the opening loss vs Steaua, their only loss in this season's eight rounds. The team confirmed their quality vs Petrolul, Pandurii and Steaua, despite the loss, and additional proof came in the last round vs Astra, where they took a point. Clashes with teams which are the very top of Liga 1 gives us a realistic view of the potential Miriuta's team. They scored three wins and a tie with Brasov at home. Concordia offers them a new chance to take three points, which they will surely not pass. I already wrote how the guests were preparing for second league football, and will probably wobble along till winter, although that is also questionable, unless they bring in a few reinforcements. There is no reason why the home team should not provide another good match, so they are in my opinion big favorites in their home arena. Defense has worked great so far, allowing only one goal, while offense scored seven. There is a significant difference in quality between these two teams, and the home team should win this with a handicap. We will take the Asian, which also pays well. Details

    The first two round victories were career first indoor wins for Giustino, a 22-year-old Italian who showed certain progress this year. He booked 12 challenger wins which is new, as he did not score a single on so far in his career, but they were all on clay. The Italian is what you might call a typical slow surface player, and his physical appearance suggests it as well. Laaksonen on the other hand handles fast conditions better, especially indoors. He already scored 11 such wins this year, most of them from qualifications for tournaments such as this one. He went through three of them so far, "dropping" players such as Bozoljac, Huta-Galung, Millot and Phau. It is then clear we have a duel of two players that may be on par in quality, but the conditions clearly favor one of them. My choice is a clean win for the Swiss, without a lost set, while I see his straight win as excellent combo material. Details

    I have no special reason to go against the Quakes: their form is on the rise, they're playing better with every game, winning in Salt Lake City tumbled an important psychological barrier for them, they might have a full team... But while all that may be true, I still cannot see them as such favorites in Carson - and the same goes for 90% of the teams in the league.
    Chivas are looking good in the last two months, and they only "cracked" during one halftime in Houston. In such a situation, it sounds more real to expect a positive reaction than a negative. They have a full roster as well. In their home arena they recently beat the Red Bulls, and played an even match with the Rapids and Timbers, neither of whom are weaker than the Quakes. Some would say they "don't need" a win, but this is MLS - I don't recall anyone ever fumbled because they "didn't need" a win. I expect an even game with all three options possible. Getting 2.08 for two is a chance you don't want to miss. Details

    The quality of Boca's players puts the club into the top of Argentinean football together with Newell's, Lanus, Velez, San Lorenzo and River, but we have relatively high odds on their win. The reasons for this are somewhat poorer results in last rounds but we have to mention that a lot of players from the starting line-up were unavailable, first and foremost Juan Roman Riquelme. Today, after a long time Carlos Bianchi has all of his players available including two of his biggest stars, the aforementioned Riquelme and Fernando Gago. This information alone sheds a new light on this game and puts the host into position as strong favorites.
    On the other hand Quilmes is a team who will be struggling to stay in the top tier and who even played some games above expectation, but they just simply lack quality. They aren’t particularly good at away games, while Boca is very good at their Bombonera this season. Yes, they have one defeat at this stadium this season, but it was the opening round of the championship against defending champions Newell’s, a game in which they deserved more for their play. Quilmes took their only away points at Tigre but that team was decimated with injuries at the time.

    I believe the host can get a high win today and one can venture a smaller stake on the handicap, but I will go for a more secure variant with an Asian handicap of -0,75. If Boca wins with a goal difference of one, half the bet will be a winner and the other half returned, while if Boca wins with two goals in front, the whole bet is won. Details

    I think this is an error by the bookmakers and I will try to explain why. It didn't take long for the offensive guru like Chip Keppy to fit "wild" Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy into his quick-paced offense that he used to destroyed the opponent of the Oregon University. The Eagles' offense is just behind the Broncos in terms of yards rushed (461,7), an they can boast the highest league average of rushed yards with over 209,0 yards and they get 6,6 yards per carry which is more 1,3 yards more than any other team. Vick has more than enough weaponry at his disposal to harm Broncos who lost two great pass rushers through the departure of Elvis Dumervil and the suspension of Von Miller. The Eagles' offense scored 33, 30 and 16 points in the first 3 games while the Broncos conceded 27, 23 and 21 points and none of the games were as fast as the one we will see tonight. Details

    The Jaguars are playing as expected, they are losing everywhere they come and I believe they don't have many chance against Colts that will not want to mar the impression after their last week's 27-7 win in San Francisco. The home team are getting back their first-team quarterback but I have been saying for the last two season that he is no better than his replacement (Henne). The Jags are by far the worst team in scored points and yards won (9,3 and 230,3, respectively). The trademark of their franchise, running back Maurice Jones-Drew is recovering from ankle injury that limited him to 2,6 yards per carry, his career lowest. The Jaguars will not be able to do much against the Colts' defense without him, as they stopped Keppernick last week and should have no problem against Gabbert. The Jaguars have scored 11 points in the first 2 weeks and have surprisingly scored 17 in Seattle last Sunday but the home team rested their first-team regulars for the whole first half. The Colts cannot afford something like that and I expect them to approach this game seriously and hold the weak Jaguars' attack as far as from the end zone as possible. Details

    Even before the season started I was convinced that Toluca are the team capable for the title shot in the Mexican national league, and as time advances Jose Cardozo's players are looking better and better. Last weekend they won convincingly against Queretaro, and I expect the similar performance against Atlante. The away team did manage to win their first match last weekend, but their performance against one of the weakest teams in the league (Pumas) was far from good. They lost all of their five away matches so far, and the home team always has one big advantage when they are playing in front of their home crowd. Toluca is located on a very high altitude (more than 2,5 kilometers high) and that tends to cause trouble for every away team. Lots of mexican teams come from cities situated on high altitudes but Atlante is a club from seaside city Calcun and they will certainly need to adopt to conditions at Toluca. I mentioned before that the home team will be missing some of their important players, but Cardozo has a lot of players that are more than capable for replacing the injured ones. These teams really come from two different dimensions and I expect Toluca to win comfortably today. They wish to secure their place in the playoffs sooner rather than later and they can achieve that goal only by winning points. My bet here is an asian handicap (-1) as that guarantees me my money back if Toluca wins with exactly one goal difference. Details

This mighty volleyball nation has won everything there is and today they want to go all the way in order to complete their trophy collection. Some of the players from this team (Mikhaylov, Grankin, Musersky, Apalikov, Ilynikh) won the bronze medal two years ago and now they have a chance to do better. After the defeat against Germany, Russia have comfortably won five games in a row, losing only three sets on the way. They dropped one set yesterday, but only because they got complacent. They dominated the match against Serbia by taking the advantage of their players' height. They will try to do the same thing against the Italians. Apalikov and giant Muserskiy have been blocking quite dominantly putting those 218 cm to a good use, Pavlov is probably the best opposite of the tournament and Spiridonov and Sivozheles can decide a match at any given moment. They're going to use serve to put Zaytsev under pressure because he tends to make a lot of errors in these situations. Russians have many games of this type under their belts, while Italians have been playing with 8 players who hadn't played at the European Championship before and it could be crucial. In addition, the Italians have been having injury problems. Savani played yesterday, but he was obviously injured so he was substituted. Parodi came in and played a good game, but it's unsure whether he has any energy left after that match. An additional bonus for this tip is the fact that the Russians have had more time to recuperate. For them, this is a historical moment, a great chance which they're definitely not going to miss.     I've explained in the preview where could Fuchse's advantage lie. Here I will point out just a few important facts. Flensburg's current performances are not very encouraging. There's a lot of struggle and poor play against an organized defense. They beat Goppingen with a bit of luck and referee help, they were trailing behind Lubbecke 16-13 at halftime, turned the score around in the second period, even though it was close at 22-22 near the end. Lubbecke also played without their best player (Vukovic). They suffered a clear defeat at Lowen, lost again to Magdeburg, the same Magdeburg that Fuchse destroyed on the road (the final 25-23 score doesn't reveal the true picture). Flensburg had trouble at home even against Aalborg, who were decimated by injuries. Fuchse have been preparing for this derby for 10 days, while Flensburg had two Champions League games in that period. The away team's backcourt lineup is currently more cohesive, better and more diverse. Flensburg are thin in the left back position and this is clearly felt in their games. Last year's Flensburg was a stronger team and there is no need to comment on Fuchse's two disasters of that period. Here we can expect a lot more resistance from them, a contest of equal opponents...     I believe the preview itself leans towards this pick. Vitkovice don't know how, and more importantly, don't want to play any way other than offensively, rather ignoring their defense, and Chomutov have shown they pack quite a punch in their last two games. A team that manages to fill Slavia's net with six goals, regardless of how relaxed the opponent might have been, definitely deserves my trust. As for Vitkovice, repeating the preview will suffice - the worst defense in the league (along with Chomutov). Chomutov scored 10 goals in their last two games, and while the testing sample might be too small to call them a very strong offensive team right away, they do show signs of shaping up to become one. They went over the margin in three of their six games, stayed at exactly 2 twice, but what is more important to me, Vitkovice took more than 2 in four of their six games, and stayed at exactly 2 in two more. That means they did not fail when it comes to this margin. Details

    Mirandes have been in a mini-crisis and they go into this match with two defeats in a row. To be honest, they played two extremely solid opponents, but they had faced strong challenges at the beginning of the season and they had been able to cope then. They haven't scored in their last two matches and now they're having troubles with unavailable players. Their first goalkeeper Prieto is unavailable along with most of the midfielders so coach Arconada has a lot to work out before the match. He hasn't got a lot of quality players so it's bound to have an effect on his team's game. On the other hand, Ponferradina have been playing great. They suffered only one defeat, against Cordoba in the first round, when they conceded a goal during injury time. After that, they haven't been beaten in five games. They've won three times and had to settle for a draw twice. There's no reason they can't keep this form up and play another good game. All the first team players are available and they have a very good head-to-head score against Mirandes so they're a clear favorite here. I'll choose the safer option because the odds are very good for it, too. Details

    The bookies estimates concerning this match are more or less similar, concerning the number of scored goals in this game, i.e. the odds are equal for more or less than three goals. I can accept such an estimate, but in betting on scored goals in games where opponents are roughly balanced, the scale tippers are usually the style of gameplay and tactical ploys of the coaches. In the case of Siroki Brijeg and Zrinjski, the fact that this is a derby is also important, since in such matches the saying it is important not to lose comes in to play. This is especially the case in early season matches, when the matches are not decisive, and when there is plenty of time for rectification.
    this is not to say that the teams will not go for a victory, but knowing the coaches Musa and Karacic, they will primarily seek to minimize the risk of conceding a goal (especially the away team Zrinjski coach Karacic) and secondarily try to penetrate the opponents defense. Both teams will field 4-2-3-1 formations, with a single spearhead and two insurance defenders in front of the goal, which suggests that the middle of the field will be the stage of the battle with less room for maneuvering within the penalty zone..
    Neither team have any remarkable individual players that could spring in to solo action in the entrenched battle, possibly the Brazilian player Wagner in the home team, but he will be thoroughly guarded throughout the match. Zrinjski have several fast players, very good at counterstrikes, which will make the home team careful not to leave them too much open space.
    All things considered this will be a balanced match, without many opportunities, and the most promising goal opportunities will be free and corner kicks. Still Zrinjski have the best defense in the league, and Siroki Brijeg have some experienced individual defenders like Jeso and Barisic who will not be easy to fool in the penalty zone.
