Round two at a tournament taking place in Serbia. The Dutch played a draw with Serbia yesterday while Portugal dealt with Bosnia easily (35-21). Since only the top table team gets to play at WC, I think Portugal will win this very important game for a few reasons. First of all, they have a consistency of results over the past three years. Portugal have the 4th spot from the U17 EC in 2013, while Holland finished in spot 12 there. The Dutch finished in spot 8 at U18 WC the following year, while Portugal finished in spot 10 after losing to Germany after the penalty shootout in round of 16. Germany went on to win the silver medal. At U19 EC in Spain last year, Portugal finished in spot 14 after injury struggles, while the Dutch didn't even make it there after losing the qualifiers to Macedonia and Montenegro. Portugal have their top team here, together with a few players who play key roles in their senior team. They're in great form, which the wins over Spain, Germany and France from test games proves. They beat Bosnia easily last night, while the Dutch had a very tough game with Serbia. That's another reason to believe in Portugal today.
