The key information here is that the Philippines came to the tournament with players none of whom are playing in their league, only one is from the William Jones Cup they won in July. They are all University players who have no other experience, they play in the Philippines' second division and they haven't played friendlies which means that they are not adapted well. Coach said that this is just a way to gain experience, the result is not important, and I cannot see them as favorites. India came with an experienced team, 9 of them were at the last championship when they were 8th. They lost to Philippines by 34 back then, but that was Asian Championship. India are stronger today for the first Indian player drafted to the NBA, he is a center 220 cm tall, and he should dominate here. Realistically, Philippines could have brought a stronger team here, they wanted to use this combination, and I think India will defeat Philippines in an official game for the first time in history.
