Skanderborg, as the best team from the 1st Division are to play their first season in the top division. They are the main candidates for relegation even though the season hasn't even started. They have a team which is too young. They lost the top scorer Gron and two other starters. Young players, who cannot play at top teams, joined and the other players are from the second division. They have two wins over Japan 26-23 from early August, and 30-27 win over Savenhof, who were without half of the players. They played in Oldenburg in Germany and won spot 5 with 3 wins (Lada 21-17, Banik Most 22-19, Pogon 17-16) and two defeats (Oldenburg 17-21,BVB Dortmund 18-22. 2x20 minutes were played in all of these games.

Viborg changed everything last season and finished in 4th. They changed some players over this summer while some international players joined. Among them is Haugsted, who was Viborg's top scorer in preseason. Viborg recorded 5 wins in preseason (Bekescsaba 29-17,Odense 28-21, Aarhus 24-23,Kopenhagen 32-27 and five defeats (Dunaujvarosi 17-22,DVSC 20-24,Vipers 24-27, Odense 22-23 Team Esbjerg 22-35). In the round of 16 game in the Danish cup they beat Sonderjyske 39-18. Sonderjyske were in a position similar to the one Skanderborg are now as a newly promoted team last season. They finished season without a single point. Saknderborg are expected to do similarly. They will get the first share of goals from Viborg today. The individual margin is too low for Viborg's potential.
