Ulm have no defeats in Bundesliga, they're on a 9-0 record, they're solid in Eurocup where only Valencia crushed them twice, apparently they have no solution for their defense. Ulm have basically the same team like last season, they added a couple of very strong players. They're looking especially impressive at home in Bundesliga where they didn't win with less than 10 points of difference. If you look at their first halves, they only didn't have a convincing lead against Oldenburg at the start of October. Later they had Bremerhaven after the first 20 minutes at +23, Ludwigsburg at +14, Telekom at +9. In Eurocup, Union Olimpia at +4, Hapoel at +16, and they got pulverized by Valencia.
They beat Hagen in both head-to-heads with over 20 points of difference. Today their quality difference is even bigger. The main reason is that Hagen declared bankruptcy in the middle of the season, they lost four points, they couldn't get additions, they lost all nine games, and this week players started abandoning them. Their main play Williams left first, main center Klassen is struggling with his back and he will probably miss today's match, coach Freyer says they had only eight players at practices...
For now, they passed in away games better than at home, but considering the most recent changes in the roster, considering Ulm at home and their game style, this is Hagen's toughest test of the season. Ulm are complete, they have 10 players in rotation, they have the best offense in the league, they didn't go under 93 points at home, and Hagen's defense is the worst. I don't believe Hagen will put up a fight for a long time here.
