The Cavs couldn't defend anything with Love on the court, so I wouldn't be surprised if coach Lue reduced his playing time, like he did in last year's final when James played the position 4 for the most of the game, and Thompson (only 22 minutes in the first game) played position 5. Thompson is much more agile and better in defense than Love, who cannot guard the paint against the Warriors, nor can he close down shots/three pointers. Anyway, as the series progress, the Cavs will be forced to play small-ball more, just like last year, but it is unlikely that will help them. I would not be surprised, actually I expect it to happen, that could Lue will return Channing Fry to rotation, who can at least stand in their way in the paint because of his wingspan, and he is no worse at three pointers than Love. Even if Love played his usual 35 minutes, it will not be easy for him to score, because one of the top 3 defenders in the league, Draymong Green, is guarding him most of the time. Love's games against the Warriors since he arrived to Cleveland:
