Slovenia left a good impression in test matches. Their coach has the best women's basketball can offer. They won in the first test game in Hungary 77-64 (43-37 at HT). The day after, they won 81-79 (40-37) without all the key players. They first beat Turkey 63-40 (33-18) and three days later, beat Poland 77-50 (39-25). Coach Grgic says there is no place for euphoria and that they play the last test game home. They want to keep making progress. Last year in qualifiers for EC, Slovenia beat Lithuania by 21 (+16), Latvia by 18 (8). When it comes to Croatia, they are starting a new era. They have the new coach who mostly has young players on the team. Only 5 were in qualifiers last season. All the key players are gone. They have been together for only two weeks. This is a great opportunity for younger players to get a spot in A team. The plan is to allow the more experienced players to rest to be ready for the qualifiers for EC. On the one hand, we have Slovenia who are complete and played more together, while on the other, we have Croatia with a lot of new players and all the key names. I don't think they can stand up to the Slovenians. Total handicap is the best option but first half handicap and team handicap at Slovenia are good too.
