One of the most important games of the season for both teams

Legionowo are struggling in the offense, especially against teams with lots of fast players. And Piotrkow are exactly that kind of a team - with fast players and lightning-fast counterattacks.

Legionowo failed to win against Gornik in the last round. That was their third consecutive loss and they are now in a must-win situation. Especially knowing the fact they would probably escape the danger zone with two points won against Kiper. Although the season has just started, every point won in these kind of matches could prove to be crucial in the end.

Gornik started the game against Legionowo very slowly. That was more than clear, but it was also clear that Legionowo are lacking strength to pose a real threat to them. Gormik played as expected - they isolated Titov and allow him to score only three goals. With their best player isolated, Legionowo were harmless in the offense, and they really looked bad on the court in the first half.

- We have a problem with slow starts of the games. This wasn't the first time we found ourselves trailing very early in the game - Albin said after the game.

If Gormik wanted to, they could have scored a lot more goals by the halftime (17-12). And nothing change in the second half. The home team continued to score goals (Kandar was their best player), and the away team played poorly in the defense and in the offense. It was clear the communication between the players isn't good, and they made lots of mistakes. Gornik hit them with counterattacks (13) and they scored a lot of easy goals.

Piotrkow are currently positioned at the very bottom of the league table. They won only one point so far, although their stats aren't that bad, really. They have 8th-best offense in the league and 9th-best defense. But, when you look the names of the opponents they faced so far, things get much easier to understand.

They played their games against Kielce, Wisla and Pogon already, and that is their biggest advantage over Legionowo. With the win today they would make a huge leap, and increase their chances to play in the top division next year. And if Lubin loses to Pogon, things could get even better for them.

They lost to Stal at home despite they once again played good in the offense. It was clear that the shock-therapy worked for the away team, but it also needs to be said that Stal are a much better team than their results might suggest.

Thirty seven goals were scored in the first half. Both teams were focused on the attack, and that is no wonder as it is known their defenses aren't really that good.

Swat was the best player for Piotrkow, while their defense just couldn't handle Kostrzew. Stal's player really wanted to impress national team coach Biegler who watched the game from the stands. He scored 12 goals (7 of those were from the 7-meter line) and the away team was 18-19 in front by the half time. Although Piotrkow improved in the defense in the second half, Stal were very good in the offense and they won the game in the end.

- We wish to win two points today. This is going to be a very tough game as they have some solid and experienced players in the team. Of course our former player Titov will be the biggest threat to us - We have no troubles with injuries and I hope we will play a good game - coach Jednorog said.

It's now clear that Legionowo don't have a brilliant offense. They mostly rely on Titov, which is becoming transparent. Even though they know that's the problem, they can't solve it overnight, especially with the players they have at their disposal. Accordingly, home team's coach has to look for points through defense and be patient with the offense. They didn't look too good against Gornik, but they're playing at home today and the odds are slightly in their favor. As far as visiting team is concerned, coach Jednorog was furious with his defense in the previous round. Goalkeepers also played poorly and they have to do better today. If Jednorog realized that's the problem, they definitely concentrated on that segment during the week. I believe both teams will play a hard match today because both teams need the points, so I don't see this going over 60 goals. The visiting team will try with counterattacks, but the home team's defense has to play an excellent match today if they want to win.
