A new historic match for the team from Vechta

Rasta have had 78 shots against Trier, a defense focused team. The play Richard Williams is the real leader of the team. The scored 14 points with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

- I'm happy we won this match. We played well in the last five minutes. We had problems with defending the outside shots - said Elzie who had 11 players in rotation, 10 of whom had spent significant time playing. This is important for maintaining high intensity.

His team won an easy victory in the first leg against  Bremerhaven. They had a 10 point advantage at the halftime and they sustained that advantage in the continuation.

-  Bremerhaven played without two important players, but they made our job hard despite that. It was a nervous match, but we had a home court advantage - said Patrick and praised the play Michael Stockton, the son of the legendary NBA player John, as well as the center Gregory Echenique who played his first professional match.

The two have scored 20 points, 22 that is. It was clear Patrick would not rotate to much. He mostly relied on the first five. The secret for winning will be the same as with Bremerhaven. Agressive defense and fast transition.

- Vechta will certainly start the match with confidence. They play good team basketball, and the atmosphere will be great in their arena - Patrick pointed out.

In the first league Rasta Vechta resumes with their style of play from the second league. It's "run and gun" basketball with fast attacks and numerous three-point shots. Ludwigsburg is without doubt a better defensive team but unlike last season, this year they arranged it so that they are more convincing in the offense.
