    Ulm entered the series against Oldenburg as underdogs, they played four very even games, and in the end they managed to reach the semi-final where they will now face Frankfurt, and in my opinion this is an obstacle they will not be able to overcome. Skyliners are currently on a 20 home game winning run in all competitions, in the Bundesliga they won the last 12 games. In the first round of the play-off they defeated Alba three times, at home they won by 19 and by 21, they did not allow them to score over 66 points. This season, Frankfurt have been winning at home by an average of 15 points. In early March they defeated Ulm by 19. They lost their first head-to-head in Ulm, but we should point out that their best scorer Theodore and important defender Scrubb did not play back then. No one in Bundesliga is playing defense so well as Frankfurt, and their playing style does not suit Ulm who base a lot of things on running, they are not prone to physicality and that will be their biggest problem in comparison to the series against Oldenburg who cannot compete with Frankfurt defensively. Ulm and Alba are close, quality-wise, Frankfurt proved this season that they are now at the top of Bundesliga and in my opinion they are the only team that can threaten even Brose.     Today I could only copy the prediction from Friday. Stelmet opened this semi-final series with a win by 20 points over Slupsk, before that, in the regular season, they defeated them by 32 and 23 points. This season they win at home by an average of over 21 points. Stelmet's performance on Friday was not ideal, but the most important thing for this prediction is that the defending champions are able to create a 15-20 points lead in 4-5 minutes which is the best proof of the quality difference. Slupsk have kept up with them for a while on Friday, but when Stelmet started playing the way they can, they limited their opponents to only 1 point in 4 minutes and easily created a big lead. Coach Filipovski admitted that the long break impacted their pace, they needed some time to find it. All in all, after the first game, we can say that Stelmet have much more room for improvement than Slupsk, and they still won the game by 20 points.     Bayern are clearly the kind of a team that needs to get slapped from time to time to stay awake. They were definitely slapped on Tuesday in Ludwigsburg when they lost by 20 points. I now expect their reaction and extra motivation. Coach Pesic is talking about arrogance and his players underestimating Ludwigsburg. Bayern are much better home than away. They won by 19,2 points on average in the championship and are capable of beating any team but Brose and frankfurt by 15-20 points home. They beat Ludwigsburg in game one of those series by 17 home and then fell apart in the second half away. They recently beat Ludwigsburg away by 31 point and also won the first h2h of the season home. That first game was rather close but we need to say that Bayern played a tough game against Zvezda in Euroleague just 48 hours earlier. But, even in that match, just like in other two wins over Ludwigsburg, they had a lead of 7 or more points at half time. Bayern never lost home to Ludwigsburg so far in 8 meetings and mostly won easily. Ludwigsburg aren't too great away but also don't have too many conivnicng losses in the championship. They lost easily only in Munich, Bamberg and the regional derby game against Tubingen. But, it's hard to say they do brilliant away. They recently lost in Bonn and barely won in Crailsheim.     Stelmet proved they are simply better than other teams of the Polish league. When their focus and motivation are good, they can beat any team by at least 20 points. Since they playoffs started the defending champions have no problems with motivation. They were dominant in the last 11 games (expect in the one against Anwil), especially when they play home (40-game winning run home in the Polish championship) Stelmet beat their opponents by an average of 19,4 points in the last 10 games home. In the whole season, their average win home is by 21,3 points. They trashed Asseco in the first playoff round and never won by less than 28 goals. Slupsk must be better than Asseco and don't have mayn convincing defeats in the season. Still, they are not impressive away. For example, they lost to Rosa by 19 points, to Torun in regular season by 24 and recently in the first playoff round by 15 and by 8 to Anwil away. They recorded the only a bit convincing win away at the start of the QF series against Torun in the nerve-wrecking finish. Those are top Polish teams alongside Stelmet. Slupsk lost to them by 23 points away and then by 29 home when Stelmet were focused on Eurocup. The key problems for the visitors is that they depend on Blassingame a lot. If someone can slow him down, it's Stelmet. Two of their meetings this season proved that. Good options here are visitor's team under and the first half handicap. I decided to go with the total handicap because Stelmet are one of those teams who don't let go until the very end.     Oostende weren't impressive in the second stage of the championship and didn't play as well as they can. Coach Gjerga had a tough time motivating the players since it was obvious before the 1st round that they will open the playoffs in top spot. Still, it's evident that they prepared form for the playoffs. They are on a 4-game winning run. The playoffs are about to start which is what they were waiting for for two months. I'm sure they will have enough motivation here. Their opponents Liege lost 9 straight head-to-head meetings, three of them this season. The last h2h finished with a 9-point advantage for Oostende, who were were focused on FIBA Europe Cup and the Liege game came in a bad moment. Oostende rarely lose home and they have the best offense and the best defense in the league, while Liege have one of the worst defensive ends in the league. They allow 88 points on average and win rarely home. They recorded only 3 wins in the whole season and we cannot forget about the second stage, which they spent in spots 6-11. That means they didn't play top teams and lost all 5 games away. Liege don't have many players to choose from and it all comes down to come Americans who don't really play defense.     Willebroek and Liege will play a game that doesn't really have any result importance. The home team will not be the last in the league, the only thing left to see is if they will be 9th or 10th, but it doesn't really matter because they will not reach the play-off, and it is known that there is no relegation in the Belgian league. Liege have become aware, after the previous round, that they will go into the play-off from the 8th position, they cannot move up nor down, they will face Oostende in the first round of play-off. That is why it is hard for me to expect a game which will be dominated by defenses.     If it were any other team welcoming Bremerhaven, I wouldn't even think about this bet, but Brose are Brose, Trinchieri is Trinchieri and I am sure they will go into this game as if it were the most important ever. Brose want to secure the perfect home record in the championship today. They are currently at 16-0, and they almost couldn't wish for better opponents than Bremerhaven who have shown their form and quality on Friday when they played a potentially important game that could have decided their stay in the league, and they provided no resistance at home to Oldenburg, they lost by 30 points with horrible performance. The question is do they deserve to stay with only 9 wins in the season, but considering Gottingen and MBC's defeats, they will stay in the first division. That is a team that on average makes more turnovers than assists, only Fogg and Smith are somewhat good, but in general they are a very weak team. In the first game against Brose at home they were down by 23 points at halftime. Brose usually solve home games by the end of the first half, and with a usual performance that should happen today as well. Solid options are home team over and overall handicap. Details

    I'll repeat my pick from Thursday. The margin is somewhat higher, but if you ask me, it's still worth it. True, Stelmet went over the -10,5 margin in the first match by the half-time for a single point, but despite the weak first quarter which they ended in a minus, at the end of the first half they won with a double-digit advantage. Only the first quarter was weaker for the title defenders and considering coach Filipovski's character, I believe that today they will be a lot more determined and better. There's no need to discuss the difference in quality between these two teams, all four head-to-heads this season proved it. It's only important for Stelmet to be on the right level motivation-wise, and considering that this is a match of the playoffs and that Filipovski says they're entering this match as if the record was 0-0, I think their approach will be good.     Stelmet's coach Saso Filipovsi pointed out ahead of the play-off that his team is hungry of wins, and they have been clearly showing that hunger lately. Since they were eliminated from the Eurocup, they have been dominating national championship, especially when it comes to home games. They recorded 38 league home wins, their score at home in this championship is 16:0, they win at home with by an average of 20 points, and in the last ten rounds they score 63 points on average. It is obvious they are maximally focused, they are now complete and this motivated they appear to be a level above all other teams in the league. Stelmet won their first league clash against Asseco by 43 points, they were in the lead by 22 by halftime. They won their second league head-to-head at Asseco by 24, they were in the lead by 10 at halftime. Asseco did not score over 62 points in any of those games. This last game was specific because Stelmet already knew they secured the top position ahead of the play-off, but they still won convincingly. Asseco are not convincing in away games. For example, in the last game at Slups they lost by 43, and they were down by 19 at halftime. They defeated unburdaned Szczecin, but before that lost at weak Koszalin by 18, and quite convincingly at Turow as well. Tonight I expect an even more difficult game for the young away team that earned a spot in the play-off in the last round. Stelmet have been waiting for this for a while, they will be no more calculations, nor reduced playing time for the key players. The handicap on the game is a decent choice, but even better one is the handicap on first half, since Stelmet have, since they were eliminated from Eurocup, significantly gone over the set margin in the first 20 minutes in every home game.     At first very high margin, but the difference in quality and motivation between these two teams is great as well. Anwil still haven't lsot at home this season, they won all 15 games, and they will try to finish regular season with perfect score. They recently defeated Szczecin at home by 31, Kutno by 26, and they defeated Stelmet. Lublin, on the other hand, are horrible away, they lost by 51 to Szczecin, by 34 to Slupsk, by 47 to Stelmet. On average, they lose away games by over 20 points, their away record is 1-14, they lack motivation, they will finish the season as last-placed team, and it is possible that Kellogg won't play today. Anwil defeated them by 35 in their first head-to-head. Anwil are also motivated because if they win and Torun lose at Radom (which is possible) they will take the third position, and they would definitely prefer to play against Kutno or Szczecin than against Slupsk (against whom they lost). Another decent option here is the first half handicap, but I decided on overall because Anwil have, in the games they won, created a big difference in the first 20 minutes.     The Spanish second league playoff is beginning, and the biggest difference between the teams is between these two. Even though playoff is usually completely different from the regular part of the season, O think that the African coast team won't have problems getting to the next round. Form, quality, roster width, being home-oriented - it's all on Melilla's side who have beaten Caceres convincingly a month ago, and I don't think their advantage will remain in the single digits today either. Melilla are in a 6-game winning run, their form improved significantly as the season was getting closer to the playoffs. Caceres can thank their luck for getting to the playoff. They're great at home, but are in a 5-road-game losing run, have been losing convincingly to the best teams, and got only 4 road wins this season. True, they've beaten Melilla at home, but they still had Mockford, Šlezas, Kasse and Cruz then, all game seeds who left since for various reasons. Melilla's roster is complete, this is what they'd been waiting for this entire season, and I think we should use this margin at thr playoff beginning. Details

    Brose ended their 20-Bundesliga-game winning run in the last round. The coach Andrea Tamburini wasn't happy after losing to Oldenburg and allowing over 100 points. Knowing his character, his team should react today. They still haven't lost a home match this season, but won all convincingly, up by 24 points on average. Braunschweig are out of the battle for the playoff, lost seven of the last eight away matches, and quite convincingly against serious opponents. They're struggling offensively, their main shooter Grant lost his rhythm completely, and everything depends on the point guard Needham, and everyone knows how strong Brose are on the back positions. That's why I don't think the guests really stand a chance here. Brose were up by 23 points in the first half already in the first round, they tend to solve everything at home in the first 20 minutes. Their games average close to 160 points away. Huesca are much more defense-oriented and average about 147 points. Their last 10 rounds were just at this margin but I think the circumstances here ask for an over and go against the market and the numbers. This is a game for the fans and I don't think Huesca will go great in defense. They are already preparing for the playoffs.     Stal Ostrow deserve respect as last season's second-league team for what they've done this season. They already have 11 wins, 9 of which home. Still, it's obvious they are struggling to keep up with the rhythm recently and their form is in decline. They have only 2 wins in the last 10 rounds and only one in the last 7 and will not reach playoffs. Stal lost to Tarnobrzeg over the weekend. Their top player was out with a virus and might not be able to play today either. However, Stal won't have a lot of say. The fact Stelmet are now fully focused on the home championship is more important in my opinion. When so, they are better than any team in the league. The trashing of Rosa on Sunday proved that. They were up to 30 points ahead in the game. Stelmet lost some away games lately which got them more motivated. They need two more wins to secure the top spot before the playoffs. Stal are too dependent on Millage and Wangmen and Nikolov in the paint. Borovnjak is back on Stelmet and played very well against Rosa.     Mons seem to be running in circles the entire season. On Wednesday they disappointed once more in visiting matches. They were defeated for the ninth time in a visiting match this season. They were terrible in Leuven, they didn't use the possibility to secure the sixth place in the playoffs from 6th to 11th place. Considering other results, they're eighth again, and in the first round of the playoffs that pairs them up with Oostende. The circumstances are such that Mons will try to redeem themselves and get away from eighth place. Defeat would deter them from that and I believe their motivation will be on the right level today. Besides, they're a lot more convincing at home. They tied five wins at home, on average they win at home with over 12 points of difference, in the second phase of the championship they beat Leuven with +23, then Willebroek with +24. They beat Pepinster mid-February with +8 which could be a warning, but the situation was different back then. They haven't lost to Pepinster at home in year, mostly they won convincingly. Pepinster are in a nine-visiting game losing run, they won only once in the whole season, on average they lose to 14 points of difference when visiting. That team own the worst defense in the league and they won't see the playoffs. Details

    Alba's coach Obradovic was not happy after the defeat to Ulm. He said his team is not aggressive enough and that they lost identity. The defeat in Ulm hit them hard but they are still in spot 6. Each next defeat would see Alba lose a chance of getting into Top 4. A spot 7 for example, would see them meet Bayern in playoffs first round. That is why points are very important here and the team is expected to react. Telekom are probably the best opponent Alba could have gotten at this moment. They cannot stand up to any serious opponents and are on 6-game losing run home. They struggle with motivation, have great problems in defense and allow around 90 points on average in the last 10 rounds. Telekom also had offensive problems in the first h2h with Alba as they got limited to 57 points and lost by 20. Alba beat them in the last 7 games and even though they are not at last season's level, the team from Berlin will most likely beat Telekom convincingly. The total handicap is a good option but I'll go with the first half here because I expect Alba to start fiercely. Telekom had a big deficit against any serious team by half time. Details

Hagen conceded 108 points at Berlin on Easter and lost by 36 points, before that they played in Bonn, conceded 111 and lost by 25, at Oldenburg they also conceded over 100. In the last eight rounds they conceded over 100 points, they are out of form and without motivation, they will not be eliminated, but they cannot reach the play-off, and with some other important absences, I don't see how they can compete against the best offense in the league. Mons are better than most tams in the league quality wise and it's clear Mons, Brussels and Liege will reach playoffs. But, who will be in each spot.     Telekom are on a 4-game winning run home and beat Bayern away early this season. It doesn't seem logical to expect the Bavarians to win easily but Telekom were good early in the season while Bayern had their focus on EL. Telekom got into a crisis in the meantime and haven't gotten over that yet. The 4 home wins are nice but the opponents were Crailsheim, Göttingen, Hagen and Tübingen, who are either bottom-table or in horrible form. When it comes to meeting with good opponents, Telekom did badly. They lost to Frankfurt by 30 recently and Oldenburg, Ulm, Giessen and Bremerhaven beat them by double-digits as well. Bayern have the best defense in the league and Telekom suit them perfectly. The home team allow around 92 on average and play game at 175 points. The Bavarians hit around 90 in the same period of time. The visitors are done with Europe and can focus on Bundesliga now entirely. Coach Pesic said that the game in Bonn is the most important one they will have so far in the season. That says it all. They want to defend spot 2, they are almost complete (Djedovic might play) and they beat Bayreuth by 23 last week to prove that they are done taking away games lightly.
