Stabaek on the other hand lost four key players, and the two replacements, goalie Silje Solberg and back Oftedal, were less experienced, which reflected on their results this season. They lost three matches against upper ranking teams by double digits, while Glassverket beat one of those in the championship, as well as Skrim, whom Stabaek lost to at home. Judging from the way home team are talking, they*re highly motivated to correct the bad tradition from earlier seasons. Both Macedonia and Italy have similar game style with a lot of shots coming from their back player and long lasting attacks. Macedonia's goal keepers are not on top of their game, which they try to make up for by playing a more aggressive defense. Italy play with the same three back players in the game for the entire 60 minutes, but their goal keeper is the key figure on the team. They take their time in offense and have poorly organized fast brakes, which results in a small number of goals scored. All of their previous 6 qualifying games for the 2014 EC were under this margin, all four with the Netherlands and Spain (both much better teams than Macedonia, especially the Dutch, who are capable of playing fast pace games). Byasen used all their credit after the first four rounds, capping it off with the defeat against Skrim in the four round. Byasen got in a revenge mood against Stabaek in the next round and won by 13. Stabaek, though, defeated Fredrikstad two rounds ago by four. Mid this week, Byasen got even to Skrim by defeating them in the cup, 38-32. Fredrikstad are their old customer, they defeated them in six out of seven matches played, five of those with over six goals difference, and this season, today's home team are the first candidate to be eliminated. Five defeats in five rounds, and both matches against the teams from the top ended with a defeat with over 10 goals difference. Fredrikstad lost to Storhamar in the cup this week by six. Storhamar rotated a lot in that match and saved the team for today's game against Vipers. Another thing, not as important, but worth the mention, Fredrikstad's junior team are playing an important match in their competition, and four players from the wider senior Fredrikstad's roster are playing there, which can influence their rotation quality against Byasen. All in all, Byasen are a much better team that belong in the top and today they have to demonstrate that against a team that will probably pack up by the end of this season. Details

I accept that this 15 goal lead from the Cup match earlier this week is too much, but I'd wager that the current difference between these two teams is between five and ten goals. Holstebro are eager to win and prove themselves, the only two matches they lost were the starting two rounds, more due to lack of luck and both times against top teams by one goal. They continued with four wins in a row, plus the demolition of Odense in the Cup. What Odense are missing, and what tips the balance towards Holstebro, are Kristiansen and Laerke Moller, both among the elite Danish perimeter players. The quality of Odense's game and their form in general are in decline, partly caused by the absence of Adler, their best player. Prior to the injury she was also important on defense due to her physical abilities. Odense's right side is almost gone, with the injury of right wing Marcher and right back Willumsen out of form, which led to clear issues in organizing offense in their last two matches. Sos Soby is a dominant figure on the goal, having secured herself a spot on Denmark's A team with her performances lately, while the central defensive positions are held by experienced and strong Spellerberg, Bonde Pedersen i Holmgaard. Kopenhagen have had five unders at this margin in their last six matches, they have not had a match over 45 goals at home, they limited the great Midtylland to 20 and 22 goals in the to matches they played against them, and if they are to get at least a point out of this Esbjerg must be limited to these margins. They are tall and physically powerful, their three attackers are very good. Their blocker was the best one in the group stage, and they have one of the best liberos. That makes them comparable with Portoriku or Cuba, Belgium's opponents from the group stage. Both of those teams struggle with reception and make a lot of mistakes in their matches. That is, however, not the case with the Dominikans. Belgium have Van Hecke at their disposal, but both starting receivers are more defense-oriented. Second best scorer on the Belgian team is middle blocker Heyrman. These two teams have met twice in the preparation matches in China. Each team won one of them in straight sets. But, we have to note that Dominicans couldn't count on libero Castillo and middle blocker Vargas. Belgium, on the other hand, have to do without one of their starting middle blockers Aelbrecht. Leipzig achieved a sensational thing last weekend by qualifying for the Champions League with a win against Ferencvaros after the great drama in the finals, which involved 2 overtimes and penalties. Even though they had 5 days to recover, it's certain that those two games wore them out. All the more so as they lack squad depth and are without 4 players and their left wing Helena Hertlein got injured against the Hungarians in the final (scored 5 goals until that point). Her backup is a 20-year-old player Urbicht, while a 17-year-old Joana Rohde has joined the team for this game. The absence of two standard wings, two back players and a huge emotional discharge after reaching the Champions League leads us to believe that the hosts will remain undefeated today. Details

Radnicki and Podravka are playing for the placement to the Champions League. Podravka had a few hours more to rest, had an easier match where Mrden gave all 14 players a chance to play so they didn't get too tired. Metzingen started the new season reinforced by three German national team players, two of those experienced back players, Ana Loerper and one of the best lefthanded right back players, Marlene Zapf. With Shenia Minevskaja, who was the best scorer in the German league last season with 239 goals, they make a killer back line. The forward Julia Benhke will join them. There's also the experienced goalie Jasmina Jankovic who came from Goppingen and knows that team well. They won in almost all the control matches, including the repeat Swiss champion Bruhl 39-23. Metzingen players slept through the second part of the match against Thuringer, they didn't have a solution for Jana Krause. In the second round, they dominated most of the match against Buxhehunde, with +6 at the half-time, allowing themselves to drop in the last ten minutes, and conceding the goal for a tie literally in the last second.
