Mathematically speaking, this is a justified margin. Limburg are at an average of 163 points in the championship, Antwerp at 163. But I think the bookmakers didn't take into account the trend, especially at Limburg. Their first head-to-head finished at 145 points, and Limburg scored only 70 points. That was early in the season when they struggled with injuries, and their roster was not complete. They played a fast-paced game, because both teams prefer fast basketball, run-and-gun style (Limburg over 70 shots from the floor, the Giants over 60), but it was obvious that was still not it.
Limburg's coach Brian Lynch set the team up in the meantime, so they have been at an average of 166,1 points in the last 10 rounds, and they went over today's margin in 9 of the last 11 games (not only against defensively strong Oostende and Spirou). Against faster teams in the championship at home, they went over against Okapi, twice against Leuven and Willebroek, didn't go over only against Antwerp while they were in a bad period. The key thing is that they have improved offensively, they played their last game against Antwerp at 193 points (Limburg had 65 shots and 33 free throws, Antwerp 65 shots, 27 free throws).
Antwerp are led by a young coach, Roel Moors, whose philosophy is similar to Lynch's, because they both learned from the same man, Paul Vervaeck. Antwerp's offensive numbers are even better than Limburg's. They went over today's margin in away games at Okapi, at home finished at 161, at Leuven 171, at home 174.
Antwerp have mostly went over against teams similar to Limburg this season. Limburg are in fine form, we have two teams with similar playing style and I expect them to be over their averages in the championship this season. Details

Bayern suffered a heavy defeat to Unicaja on Wednesday and were eliminated from the Eurocup, so their complete focus is now on Bundesliga. If they were not eliminated, they would have had two European games next week, but this way their first game is in a week, the derby against Brose. The Bavarians are dominant in Bundesliga lately, they recorded 6 straight away wins (9-2 overall), won by 20 at Frankfurt, at Jena by 44, at Ludwigsburg by 10, Alba by 24 (defeated them in the Cup in Berlin as well), Bremerhaven by 35 last weekend. The only downside to this is a win by 5 at Wurzburg, but that is the local derby and the tensions are always high. We can also add that they won at Ulm (who are undefeated in Bundesliga) in the Eurocup by 11 at the start of the year.
Tubingen have avoided relegation, mainly because of good away performances against weaker teams. They are bad at home (2-9), the worst home team in the league (with Rasta), They only defeated Giessen at home, in the first round, and Rasta. In the last round they lost to Telekom by double-digit difference, before that they lost to Jena, Frankfurt, Alba... If we look at their home games against the strongest German teams, they lost to all of them by double-digits, except Alba who have been inconsistent this season. The difference in quality is significant here, Bayern are in a good form and the offered margin is definitely not too high. Bayern won their first head-to-head routinely by over 30 points. If they had European games next week, the first half handicap would have been a better option, but this way I choose overall handicap. Details

Okapi and Limburg are two fastest-paced teams in the Blegian championship. They prefer the run-and-gun in its purest form. Okapi average 168 in the championship, 173 home. They didn't go over today's margin just against tough Brussels home, against the toughest team Oostende and very defense-oriented Liege, whom they trashed both times. The only game that doesn't fit in is the one against Antwerp when they got limited to 163 but Okapi could not stand up to the opponents because they were weakened. Their top shooters were not fully fit and didn't play much. They went over 170 with Brussels recently, over 180 with defense-oriented Mons and over 180 with Spirou.
Limburg had a poor start to the season on account of injury struggles. They got completed later on and got their numbers up. They are close to 170 points away. Granted, they didn't go over this margin in the last 5 rounds but they didn't play teams who would allow that (Spirou, Oostende, Liege, Brussels). They went over this margi with all the faster-paced teams (Willebroek, Leuven, Antwerp).
What's most important are the h2h meetings which are always fast-paced. That is only logical since both teams like to try and outrun the opponents. They met 4 times this season. They went at 184 at Okapi's arena, at 185 in the Cup. They were at 173 at Limburg's arena in the championship and at 169 in the cup semifinal second-leg. The cup game was very important. Looking at the last 3 seasons, they met 14 times and went over this margin 12 times. They stayed at 166 once. Details

The first game of the women's Euroleague quarter final is played in best-of-three system. The home team UMMC from Ekaterinburg opened the competition with a defeat at Avenida, then recorded 13 wins and showed why they are called the Dream team. If they had played in the WNBA, they would probably fight for the title. The Russian players are in the background, their key figures are Americans Griner, Taurasi, Toliver and Nolan. They added Spaniard Lyttle to Griner in the paint, and there are also Torrens, Meesseman... That is pretty much like CSKA Moscow acquiring the best NBA point-guard, strongest center, great guards and wingers, and 3-4 great European NBA players. UMMC won all home games, by halftime they were in the lead by 12 against Sopron and Bourges, by 8 Avenida, Hataya by 41, Lille by 22, Polkowice by 10 and Nadezda by 1. We should point out that against Polkowice and Nadezda they had already secured the top position and coach Lange made a lot of rotations. In the Russian championship, they defeated Nadezda 89-57 a few days ago (in the Euroleague they can play with all 8 foreign players, but only with 5 in the Russian Championship).
Famila won at weak Gyor and Wisla. They lost to stronger teams, but the only relevant games are the ones at Fenerbahce and Kursk. At Fener they ewere down by 13 at halftime, at Kursk by 5, but Kursk had already secured the top position, while Famila were fighting for the quarter-final. On Saturday they lost in the Italian championship 52-78 to Rague (6th in the league standings). Their key player, Miyem, played for only 8 minutes, she is still not completely fit, and the situation is not simple for them. Their other key player, Anderson (10,2 points and 5,6 rebounds in Euroleague) is also struggling with an injury. Miyem is their best scorer in the Euroleague with 14,1 points, and Yacoubou (11,8 pts, 9,6 rebounds) has been out a while. WNBA player Yacoubou could physically handle UMMC frontcourt line, but this way, I doubt they can handle them.
The knock-out stage will further motivate the Russian team, and I don't believe the Italians will be able to parry them in this condition. UMMC will not leave anything up to chance, I expect them to start the game strong, and decide the winner by halftime. The second game is on Friday in Italy. Details

Tarnobrzeg are at the very bottom of the Polish championship league table, with only three wins so far, and judging by their latest moves, they're obviously at peace with having to play the second league next season. They ended their contracts with three Americans this week, all main players. The back point guard Releford is out, he was the best scorer of the league with 18-1 points per match, and also the point guard Brown, the second best with 14.9 per game and the best assists player with 5.6 per game. The center Knowles is gone, too, their third best scorer with 12.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per match. That decimated the team, they didn't find acquisitions (if they're even doing it). This makes the team not belong in the first league even, their main player now is the 39-year-old Wojdyla.
Trefl Sopot have 11-10 score, they're outside of the playoff zone and are now in a big battle to get there. The competition is huge, and in a match like this one, they can't afford mistakes. They haven't been great on the road, that's true, but they're much better than the hosts in situations like these. They showed in the last two championship rounds that they're getting their form back. First they beat the Polish leader Torun by 32 points, and then beat Turow in a road game, and Turow are known for being tough at home. Tarno lost to Torun in the last round by 41 points. They were even keeping up in the first half, but then fell apart because of the shortened rotation. Before that, when they were complete while playing Polpharma (who were beaten by Trefl in the road game), they lost by 15 at home, and by 14 to the weakened Rosa, by 40 to Stelmet, by 21 to Koszalin (who were beaten by Trefl in the road game).
All in all, Tarnobrzeg are far ahead of any other team in the league like this, and that quality's got to show. I expect Trefl to win by 15. A decent live option is the team under for Tarnobrzeg in the first half. Details

This is CL Round of 16 first leg game. The two games will be combined so there cannot be overtime today or a nerve-wrecking finish. This game is in a way very similar to Aris and Strasbourg meeting in playoff first round. ASVEL are no worse in defense than Strasbourg (they're almost identical, but ASVEL are worse in offense). They averaged 145,7 in CL, away 146,3. They played PAOK at 128 points, 146 against Rose in a game that fell apart, under 150 with Ventspils and Neptunas but Aris are much better in defense than those teams, apart from PAOK.
Aris played tougher teams in CL home games at: Strasbourg at 123, Frankfurt 122, Monaco 127. They only went well over this margin with Banvit but that was in the first rounds. In the Greek league, they stayed under 130 with PAOK, at 133 with Panathinaikos, at 130 in the championship and 127 in Greek Cup final (120 against PAOK away, 142 against AEK in a game that fell apart, 124 Oly, 146 Monaco, Frankfurt 155 with 50 points in the last quarter). With AEK, they played a game at 153 points in Cup semis but AEK seem much better home than away. Details

About ten rounds before the end of the regular part of the championship Rasta are in a very difficult situation, they're three steps behind the safe zone, so far at home they didn't win at all, their record at home is 0-11, they are on a 15-game losing run, and not even the change of the coach and a lot of players didn't change things for the better. Usually they look okay in the first half, but as the game moves on, they fall down, that's the most common scenario in their home games too. In the first head-to-head against Ludwigsburg the same thing happened. Quality-wise, Ludwigsburg are above Rasta, I don't expect the hosts will end their bad run today.
The away team also care about points. Their record is 9-11, and they're 10th which means they can't allow themselves to make a mistake in matches like this one. Away, Ludwigsburg won all games against weaker opponents who can be compared to Rasta. They recently beat Tubingen with +12, Wurzburg +9, Braunschweig +7, Bremenhaven +8, uncomfortable Giessen (with whom they will probably fight for the eighth place) +6. They lost in away games to Brose, Bayern, Bayreuth, Ulm and Frankfurt in tight finishes. Ludwigsburg are a better team with a wider roster, they're in good shape, and it's worth using these odds for the away team. Details

Aris are not doing brilliantly in the Greek championship. They sit in spot 5 with the same number of points as PAOK and Kolossos. Still, winning today would probably see them get in spot 4 since PAOK play AEK away (AEK are 9-0 home) and Kolossos meet Panathinaikos on Monday. Spot 4 is extremely important for Aris, since home court advantage often proves crucial in playoffs, especially since they will probably face city rivals PAOK in the first round.
Aris lost to PAOK, Olmypiacos and Panathinaikos home this season but they beat all teams of Koroivos' quality easily. Promitheas by 16 (13 at HT), Rethymno by 48 (20), Lavri by 21 (15), Kymis by 13 (16), Kolossos by 24 (16), Trikala by 10 (16).
Koroivos put up a great fight in the first meeting with Aris but the team from Thessaloniki are much worst away than home. Koroivos are 2-7 away, they beat only bottom table Lefkadas and struggling Promitheas away. When it comes to meetings with more powerful teams away, they were at 14 at HT against Oly, at 20 against Rethymno, at 7 against AEK, at 25 against Panathinaikos and at 14 against AEK in the Cup.
It's important to note that Koroivos lost starting center Hall over the week. He averaged 13,4 points and 6,7 rebounds and recorded 24 points and added 8 rebounds in the first h2h with Aris. His absence will be visible, Aris' front court seems much better. Last week proved that Koroivos struggle against a team with good center line as Kolossos beat them by 20 away with 44 points from the paint. Details

This is a showdown between two teams who are run-and-gun, with short offenses, on average they record 80 points, shots from the floor is over 52, Coruna are, as for three-pointers, the strongest in the second league. Burgos at home have no problems with imposing the run-and-gun style; in 11 home games once they remained at 160, seven times they went over 160. On average at home, they're around 165. They remained under 160 at home against very defensive-oriented teams such as Prat, Ourense and Marin. In the last home game they remained at 163 points against defensively the strongest defense of the league, Gipuzkoa. Coruna are in away games at 6-6 at this margin as for overs, but with those teams comparable to Burgos, on average they were at high numbers: Arberri over 170, Castello at 170, Caceres over 170. The Galician team on are in away games on average of 158 points, in the season at 160, but away games against Melilla, Marin, Ourense or Oviedo are not the ones where we can expect high numbers, and they are teams oriented on defense. Recently Coruna lost the important Pena, but they replaced him with Johnson, nothing will change in their game system.
In the first head-to-head with Burgos they remained at 159 points in Coruna. Burgos had 73 shots from the floor in that game, Coruna 62. I expect similar numbers today. Burgos in the meantime made some changes, they progressed offensively, at home their defensive numbers are a lot better than in away games, mostly they have no problem imposing the run-and-gun pace, Coruna are a team who will accept that gladly. It's hard to say that any championship game is as unimportant as this one, but the one on Wednesday against Brose and Ludwigsburg was certainly less important than today's which will be played in the semi-finals of the German cup in Berlin. Brose on Wednesday won with +9, they weren't that great, but coach Andrea Trinchieri calculated, and that was obvious. He decided to rest Zisis, Melli and Radosevic, lowered play-time for some standard players, so the best scorer was young Nikolic who probably won't even play today. Trinchieri didn't want to reveal everything before today's match.
Brose's motivation won't come in question; under Italian's lead they never won the cup, in the last four seasons the trophy has been slipping away. The match against Ludwigsburg can be compared to the one against Bayreuth. In the championship Brose barely beat this season great Bayreuth, only in overtime, but in the quarter-finals when they were fully focused, they beat them in an away game with +23, by the end of the first half it was +25. Tomorrow the cup finals are up, I expect Brose to start out strong today. On Wednesday they were leading against Ludwigsburg with +9 by half-time (41-32), in Ludwigsburg +11 (33-22).
Ludwigsburg's record in Bundesliga is 9-11; with some comparable teams it was like this: they lost at home to Bayern with -10 (at half-time -10), they lost -3 to Bayreuth (-14 at half-time), -29 to Bayern (-23), -17 at Bayreuth (-2), -17 against Ulm (-14). The only plus is the win against Ulm in the cup quarter-finals, but at the time they were the hosts, and Ulm were quite bad. I'd call it an exception. Ludwigsburg don't do well against strongest German teams, and motivated and complete Brose are one level above. The pre-season game against Brose doesn't have much significance, but considering they played it on neutral grounds in Bayreuth, and today they're playing on neutral grounds again, we should add that Bamberg team won with 82-63, at half-time it was 45-29. Lithuanian Cup quarter-final couldn't have come in worse time for Neptunas. It is played on a single win, Zalgiris are hosts, and they will also host the Final Four. Neptunas were on a 6 game winning run when the club's financial problems escalated, and in the past month they lost four key players. Center Klimavicius, their best scorer Baron, their best assistant, point guard Drew and Johnson. All of them played in Neptunas' last win over Dzukija in the championship (Johnson and Baron were their best scorers), when they left, their winning run ended immediately. They lost to Juventus by 9 at home on Saturday, they had only 7 players in rotation, and we should expect a similar thing today because they are still looking for some replacements.
They faced Zalgiris twice this season, they lost by 10 away, but that was in the period when Zalgiris had a difficult fixture schedule in Euroleague and only 48 hours after their game against Baskonia, three days before their clash against Fener. Zalgiris won at Neptunas by 28. I also expect a convincing performance by Zalgiris today. They have recently defeated teams like CSKA and Barcelona at home, and this is a specific game, there is no return fixture, so we should expect the home team to be highly focused, they have no Euroleague games this week, and they are focused on the Cup. Considering the condition at Neptunas, the quality difference is huge, bigger than in the past. In my opinion, the best option is full time handicap because of the short rotation in away team, who will drop as the game progresses, and I doubt they can keep up for long. Details

Statistically, there aren't too many arguments for this when it comes to Gottingen. They lost by double digits only to Brose away (-11) and Ulm (-14). Bayern have +10 against Wurzburg, +18 against Alba, +28 against Tubingen, +16 against Bayreuth, +23 against Ludwigsburg and recently +15 against Frankfurt home in Budesliga games at half time. They were down to Ulm at half time, and recorded deficit against Braunschweig, Rasta and Bremerhaven. Still, I think that those stats aren't crucial today. Bayern are currently in brilliant form, the best one so far this season. They have 12 straight wins, and have 11-0 in 2017 only. They trashed Alba in Berlin by 24 and had +15 at half time. They are complete and their defense is great. Also, full focus at Bayern is on Budesliga.

They beat Gottingen by 31 in the first game of this season (+14 at HT). Last season, they beat them by 41 (1st half +17), +29 away. That kind of dominance isn't an accident. The Bavarians' game style does not suit these opponents, especially now that they are even more aggressive in defense. Also, Gottingen do not have a player who could stand up to Booker, Kleber and others in Bayern's paint.
Gottingen lost to Oldenburg by 20 home on Saturday. It was -17 after 20 minutes. Their form declined lately, they lost 5 out of last 6, One of main reasons for the defeat to Oldenburg was absence of Ruoff, who won't be there today either (the flu). He averaged 15,5 points, 5,1 assists, 4,6 rebounds and 1,5 steals in 30 minutes. There is no way for his team to make up for him. Details

The table itself suggests that this is a very important match for both teams. Ludwigsburg are currently ninth with 8-10 record, they're first below the playoff line, at home they're in a five-league game losing run, it's clear that each next one keeps them further away from the playoffs because the competition are bigger than they were last year. Giessen are first above the line, their record is 10-10, so this match means a lot to them. If they win, they would move further away from Ludwigsburg. Ludwigsburg are defensively one of the strongest teams in the league, on average their games end at 152 points, at home they're under 146. If we take a look at their home games against defensively stronger teams, with Brose they were at 108, Bayern at 140, Bayreuth and Oldenburg they went slightly over today's margin, but those teams have great, if not the best, offense in the league. Recenly they limited Ulm at home to 67 points, they played in the quarter-finals of the cup under 140 points. Giessen are similar to the hosts when it comes to the gamestyle, they have a wide rotation, they play aggressively, they press a lot, so it's no surprise the first head-to-head was at 130 points. Giessen are on average in the league at 153 points, they have more overs than unders on today's margin, mostly due to high numbers in away games. But it's hard to compare Ludwigsburg to Telekom, Alba, Oldenburg or Wurzburg.
Both teams claim this is an important game, we have two defensively solid teams with average offenses (11th and 15th in Bundesliga), it's hard to expect the game to fall apart. I expect defenses to dominate the game just like in the first head-to-head, the number of points under their average. Details

The set margin is not missed if we take into consideration the fact that Aris are, in the FIBA League, at an average of 145,8 points, at around 141 at home, and Strasbourg at 143 overall and 149 away, but we should consider some other elements as well. This is the first of two games in the first round of play-off, the results are summarized which means there is no danger of overtime here, and there is no need to talk further about the importance of the game. In the Champions League Group A, Aris' results against teams that are defensively close to Strasbourg's quality are as follows: at 122 against Frankfurt, 127 against Monaco, they went over 160 against Banvit, but Banvit are not a defense oriented team, in the Greek championship they were under 130 against PAOK, at 133 against Olympiacos, and at 130 against Panathinaikos (away at PAOK at 120, AEK 142, Monaco 146, Frankfurt 155 with 50 in the last quarter). Aris have not scored over 63 points in any of the mentioned home games, the only exception is the game against AEK in the Cup. Aris won 77-76, but it is known that they are much better at home than away.
Strasbourg had a bad start of the season, but the return of coach Collet changed a lot of things, especially in defense that allows around 68 points in the Champions League. Under Collet they played away as follows: at Canarias 60-60 in regulation time, won at Oostende 66-65, and under Dettman played under today's margin at Avellino. At home they were under 120 against the Italians, at 138 against Oostende, 147 against Canarias when they scored 53 points in the final quarter. In the French championship, they are usually at low numbers against stronger teams (like Monaco), they are athletically and physically a team for which Aris' coach says they struggle in offense against, I expect a similar thing today, a lot of struggle for both offenses, who are nothing special at the European level, but defensive stats are good in both teams. I don't want to hear excuses about tough rhythm and that we weren't complete. Our game was embarrassing and unacceptable.
AEK's coach Zdovc said that after they barely beat Lavri last week. Lavrni are not in bad form but they were still expected to do better. The team from Athens had a 6-point lead by half time and later did much better. Sakota didn't play as much as he normally does but he will today. Vasileiadis is back, Milosevic and Mavroeidis are questionable but McGrath recently joined the team. They have enough players and shoulnd't have problems with that. AEK are expected to react, especially since they normally do better home. They lost only to Besiktas and have 7-0 in the championship. They lost only to Besiktas, they had a 17-point difference against Apollon, a 10-point against Aris, a 20-point against Lefkadas, an 11-point by Rethymno, a 25-point by Lavri. They didn't have a double-digit difference against Koroivos (had a lead of 14 in the Cup against them) and Promitheas but their schedule was better than today. AEK now had a week to prepare for this since they had a break in CL.
Kymis' coach says that he doesn't know what is happening to them the last few weeks. They are on a 4-game losing run and 0-7 away. They have not found a replacement for the important center Morgan. The rather important guard Kostov is injured. Last weekend against Koroivos, they were down by 25 away. Before that, they were down by 24 against Koroivos, by 16 against Aris, by 12 to Kolossos, by 27 to Panathinaikos and by 7 to Lavri. They had a lead only against bottom table Lefkadas and even managed to lose that in the end. They were at -36 at half time in the Cup. Home against AEK in the first head to head they had -32 at half time. Details

Spirou have been far from consistent this season, especially at the start, but they got more consistent later on, and started following the coach Fulvio Bastianini's instructions. He even quit at one point because the players lacked approach and eagerness. Now they're defense oriented. Their average in the Belgian championship is 163.2 points, a bit under 159 at home, but most Belgian teams play very fast basketball, so those matches cannot really be compared to the one against Mons, their regional rival. Looking at Spirou's home matches that are relevant for this one, there's the one against Oostende whom they beat 74-69, and maybe the one against Brussels that ended at 154 points. They stayed under this margin against the super fast Limburg (154), and Willebroek (140) (144 on the road against Oostende when they fell apart, and Spirou were 17 points down in the first half).
Mons are the most defensively oriented team in the league. They sometimes get to the high numbers against run and gun teams like Limburg, Okapi and Willebroek, but that only happened four times in 17 league matches. Mons average under 149 points, and under 148 in the last ten rounds. They played Oostende four times this season, 145 and 130 points in the championship, and 134 and 133 against Brussels. They stayed under this margin in two cup quarterfinal matches against Oostende, when Mons couldn't match them the right way, but it's hard to expect them to fall apart against Spirou tonight.
The first duel between these two ended at 134 points, in their last ten championship and cup duels, they went over this margin only once. In those championship matches they played this season that are relevant, Spirou went over only against Brussels. It should be noted, though, that Spirou played much faster at the beginning of the season, and they were weaker defensively compared to now. Details

Stelmet are not at last season's level but they are still the best Polish team. Playing in CL shifted their focus from the championship but they have been making up for it lately. They can focus on the championship this week entirely. They trashed the home team by 27 int he second round and limited them to 67 points. I expect Targnobrzeg under 70 again. Stelmet allow around 71 on average, have the top defense in the league and have allowed 70 away to the best offense Turow and Dabrowa, who do well home. Against teams comparable to Tarnobrzeg, they have 63 against Stelmet, 68 Slupsk, 64 Polpharma, 69 Trefl. Only Lublin is actually comparable to the home team but the other teams can be compared when it comes to game style.

Targnobrez hit 72 on average, have one of the worst offensive ends in the league. Their home average is 70,5. They hit 51 against Turow, 73 Torun, 76 Slupsk, 75 Anwil but those teams cannot compare to Stelmet defense wise. With those more defense-oriented, they hit 60 (Stal), 69 Koszalin. Extra problem today is the absence of important players Brown. He averages 14,9 points and 5.6 assists and spends over 33 minutes on the floor (17 points and 7 assists against Stelmet). Home team half time under is a good option as well. Details

Only 8 teams will reach Round of 16 and 8 will join from Champions League. That means only the top spot guarantees the next round in Europe Cup. Two best runner ups will go through as well. Demir are 3-1, their h2h record with Antwerp is worse and if the Belgians win the two of their remaining games, the Turks will not be able to reach the top spot. Antwerp are set to play teams which do not stand a chance of reaching the next round. Demir need to focus on trying to advance through the runner-up spot and they are currently only the third best team in that spot (+23 goal difference). They will try and get that difference higher today. If Antwerp lose to Gravelines, everything changes and the Turks can reach the top spot. But their game starts three hours before Antwerp's game.

Demir win by an average of 23,5 points in this competitions. They haven't been doing well away all season long. They beat Antwerp home by 14, lost by over 20 away to them. They won all 4 European home games, Enisej by 16, Antwerp by 14, Rilski by 22 and Sigal by 42. They recorded 5 out of 6 wins home in the Turkish league. They didn't play last weekend (All-Star weekend) so they had a week to rest and prepare.

Prievidza opened with second Europe Cup stage with a surprising win away over Gravelines but they are clearly in decline. They lost to Bnei by 24, to Lukoil by 15, to Steaua by 11 and Antwerp by 17. They lost to Demir 75-101 home. In the Slovakian championship, the last time they played was on Monday when they lost to Rieker by 79-87. This is their third meeting in five days and have already recorded 5 defeats in the domestic championship.

The home team have a much greater quality. Demir beat Prievidza away by 26 points and I think it would be very surprising if they didn't win by at least as many points today. They want as big a point difference as possible. Getting that point difference will be tougher against Gravelines next week. They beat them in overtime in France. Details

Caceres went to this away game without their main play Marco, and the important center Riauka didn't practice the whole week due to back problems and he almost certainly won't play today. Since a few days ago they ended their contract with Nathanaelsson, and they haven't found a replacement, they will have a very thin frontcourt, and Breogan are the strongest in the the paint where players such as Gilling, Stainbrook and Fakuade are great lately. Bereogan are complete and they're in swing again which they've lost for a short time in December. They tied three wings, they beat last weekend the might Burgos who were on an eight-game winning run in an away game with +9, before that the strong Ourense at home with +13. At home they rarely lose, their record is 8-2. They lost to Huesca at the start of the season when they had problems with absences, and recently to Arberri who have been very good in the past month.
Caceres recorded five wins in the last seven rounds. They fell with -15 against Palencia, -22 against Burgos, -24 against Ourense. In away games their record is 1-7. They were beaten by teams such as weak Marin. They only beat Arberri, which is the exception confirming the rule.
In the first head-to-head this season Breogan won in Caceres with 63 points of difference. Today we shouldn't expect something like that, but the circumstances are such that I expect Breogan's convincing win. They're in good shape and complete, in the hunt for the first place, they're strong at home. Caceres have been limited to 6-7 players who will have full playtime. They aren't convincing in away games, and lately they lost to teams the quality of Breogan. Breogan are the owners of the strongest offense of the second league, they're fast, so it's no wonder they don't suit Caceres. Details

AEK's coach, Jure Zdovc, says ahead of every Champions League game that they are going for the win, that it's their most important game. Today's game against Ludwigsburg is really their most important game. AEK are at 6-5 record, they compromised their situation with bad away performances, and if they lose today, they cannot count on the second position and direct advancement, their situation would complicate even more, and their advancement would come into question. AEK showed this season that they are home court oriented, it's not easy for anyone to play at their arena, so of the 11 official games, they lost only one, to the leaders of the group, Besiktas, who obviously don't suit them. AEK lost at Ludwigsburg in a tight finish, I expect the Greeks to be much more determined today. On Saturday, at home, they defeated Aris, who have been in great form, by 20 points, and in the Champions League they recently defeated Spirou by 20, Partizan by 10, Sassari by 20, and they concede less than 70 points on average at home. The great news is that they are complete, Vasileiadis is back, Mavroeidis is fully fit, and new center Elonu is clearly a real reinforcement.
Ludwigsburg have been good in the Champions League, they secured their advancement, they are still fighting for the second position, but they are not as convincing away as they are at home. In the Champions League they lost at Stelmet and Partizan, won at Sassari. This entire season, if we look at difficult away games, they did not fare well. They lost by 17 at Ulm and Bayreuth, and by 29 at Bayern, plus these two Champions League defeats.
Considering AEK's defensive performances at home, a solid option here is a team under on the Germans, but even better option is the Greek's win in handicap because they will not only go for the win, they will want to win by over five to have a better head-to-head record against Ludwigsburg and that way stay in the battle for the second position in the group.
