    This is a game that will decide the top position in the group. In case Canarias win, they would secure the top spot because they already have one win more than their competition, and their runner-up are Strasbourg who defeated them at the Canary Islands after overtime. Top position is important in this competition because it secures direct advancement to the quarter-finals so the stakes are high. This is a duel between two teams that are at the top defensively, Strasbourg are at an average of 66.7 conceded points, and at home at only 60.6, Canarias, on the other hand, are at 65.8 conceded points and I don't see why the margin is this high today. Their first head-to-head was at 120 points in regulation time, they did not go over it in overtime either and I think we will watch a similar game today. Strasbourg have an over with Juventus and Mornar, but in a game where they scored 86 and 93 points, they decided the winner by halftime, but I am sure that won't be the case today. They also have unders at halftime against Oostende (70, end 131), Avellino (56, end 127), Cibona (70, end131), Mega Leks (54, end 127) and we have the head-to-head where they scored only 53 points by halftime, Oostende (67, end 138), Avellino (70, end 141) and the first game in Lithuania when Collet still wasn't on their bench and that game is not relevant here.
    On the other side, Canarias have overs in the first half against Cibona and Mornar, but the winners there were evident beforehand and they didn't even play defense the entire game. With Avellino at halftime (71, end 151), Oostende (76, end 128). They also have an over at Cibona and against Juventus in Lithuania, but everything was decided by halftime there. They played all derbies at low numbers, they will not rush today either, they showed in the last championship game against Andorra that they can play good defense, they limited them to 72 points, and there are more games in the Spanish championship that are in favor of this. This is a crucial game for the top position, we have two top defensive teams and I think we should bet on this.
    With this bet we lose the possible free throw end and that is why I decided on the halftime, and not the end of the game, even though that is another good option, as is Strasbourg's team under. Details

    Statistically this margin may be good, but there are many factors why I think this will be a tense game. This is one of the key games in the relegation battle and I expect a battle until the end. Of other comparable games from the bottom of the league table, FMP have a big under against Karpos, Mega Leks in the last round, but I am not writing this prediction because of FMP's numbers. They have a lot of overs on this margin, but often against teams who are offensively much better than today's Krka. As far as they are concerned, they are offensively one of the worst teams in ABA League, FMP are at an average of 74 points in this competition, Krka at 70, but they scored 97 against MZT and 96 against Mega where they improved their numbers. In the last 7 games in this competition they recorded only defeats, they scored 73 at Bar, 72 against Igokea, and that was in their first two defeats. Later they had 70 against Partizan, all other games were under that. This is not s purely statistical bet, but considering the situation where Krka are still missing their best offensive player, and FMP's powerlessness in offense, as well as the importance of the game, this is a good under for me, even though FMP's stats are not in favor of this and that is the biggest downfall here. As a good sign we have their first head-to-head at 131 points and I think we will watch a similar game today.

    I decided here on the overall under because it is better than halftime, because of Krka who have shorter rotation, and FMP are prone to inconsistencies, so it is hard for me to say if the first quarter will stay under, or the third one will like against Mega where they scored only 14 points.     Hapoel are hosting Bnei in the Israeli Cup QFs today. The game will be played in at their arena and that is why they'll do their best. The game from three days ago when these opponents beat them by 20 away will be another motivation. In Jerusalem, they never lost by less than 10 points. Hapoel beat them at the start of the season by 20 points and I think this last game is a result of a very bad approach at Hapoel. Their coach and players now say just one thing - that will go full throttle into this because they cannot lose. I believe they will show their power here. The visitors are without forward Mashour who is averaging 14,5 points and 9 rebounds and who is the key player on the team. There is no point in saying how weakened they will be without him. I believe Hapoel will make a step forward today. They are a team for big things. Only Valencia got points in this arena this season. Ulm and Kuban lost here.     I don't know what could have changed so much in the last few days to cause such a high margin. Statistically it fits but we have a lot of elements which make me believe we won't see a productive game today. Krka hit 73,9 on average in ABA League which means we have some leeway when it comes to tip bet. Krka are on a 6-game losing run and their scored a lot against teams like MZT and Mega Leks, which got their averages up. This is an important game for both teams. A win would see Olimpija cement their spot in the table, Krka would get off the bottom. Krka went over this margin five times this season but not since 13th November and MZT game. They played 6 games since in ABA League and the highest they went was 73 goals away against Mornar. They were never close to this margin. We have the two head-to-head games since. Krka scored 64 in Ljubljana, six days ago they hit 68 when Rebec hit a 3 in the last second. They scored 56 in Macedonia last round but Karpos are among the worst teams in the league. They will be without the key offensive end player Lukovic, the second best scorer Cebular might be out and that will be a big problem. I don't think they will get even close to the margin. All the options are good here - first half under at Krka, the total under since we have just one over in tha first h2h. I think that first h2h has nothing to do with this game. It was the start to the season and a lot has changed since. Details

    The fact is that Monaco play much faster in the national championship than at the Champions League, but I still think that this margin is too high. Based on the numbers, Monaco are the best defense in the league, Strasbourg are 4th, but they conceded a lot of points at the start of the season when Dettman was their coach, Collet is on the bench now, he improved their defense significantly, and the numbers confirm that.
    But let's start with Monaco. They are playing much faster at home, the only minus is the game against Paris who are also great defensively, but Paris had the best numbers of the season in that game, they scored 33 in the last quarter, and I think Monaco will not allow that. They don't concede much on average, 70.7 in the national championship, even less in the Champions League, but I won't even look at that competition much because Monaco went over this margin there only against Nymburk. In the French championship they went over 70 at home against Paris (98) and Gravelines (71). They limited fast teams like Cholet at 68, Chalon at 52 and their defense is great. They have scored a lot at home, but today they will face experienced Collet who will not rush anything. Since he took over, Strasbourg have only one over on this margin, against fast Chalon. In the Champions League, they limited strong defensive teams like Avelino and Canarias under, and in the last 4 games, they conceded the most against Nanterre (73). They have also shown that they can play good defense, and we should point out that all three of their head-to-heads last year were under this margin, and both of these coaches were on the bench, so I don't believe their basketball philosophy has changed.     I was surprised by this margin on this game and I think that we should definitely use this. I already wrote about Oostende's great form, they are playing much better than at the start of the season, and even back then they did not concede this much points, and the only two official games in which they conceded over this margin were at the Belgian championship against fast leuven at the start of the season, 81 point, and against fast Antwerp when they won 90-85 at home. They never conceded over this margin in the Champions League, and in the group we have several teams that are fast and offensively powerful, primarily Avelino and Canarias, whom they limited to 72 and 62 points respectively. There are some other unpleasant teams like Mega Leks who scored 76 against them at home with a horrible second half, Cibona 70 and fast Mornar 74. In the last 9 games they did not concede this much points, Mega Leks and Leuven scored the most, 76 points. Their first head-to-head finished 59-69 for Juventus, but Oostende were in bad form back then, they played without important Gillet and still conceded ten points under the margin. Let's look at Juventus' numbers. In the Champions League they have 2 overs on this margin, against Strasbourg, who were a different team under Dettman at the start of the season, and they scored against them only 61 at the last round in Strasbourg. They went over against Cibona who came to Lithuania with their B team and that game is not relevant here. They scored 79 at Mega Leks, but Oostende's defense cannot compare to Mega Leks'. The Belgian team will put pressure on Juventus' backcourt line that will not get much chance to play, and another bonus to the bet is the fact that important center Cepukaitis is still struggling with injury, he was brought back too early, and Bickauskasa, who gives them pace, is also questionable. This is an important game for advancement to the next round, Oostende have only one win less, Juventus suffered four back-to-back defeats. True, in two defeats in the Lithuanian championship hey have overs on this margin, but Rytas and Nevezis play very fast, and Oostende will not rush anything. They will play good defense, and Juventus do not have the offensive power to score 80 points here. Details

    This is a derby any way you look at it. Zvezda are first on the table, they don't have a single defeat, while Buducnost are runner-ups with a record of 10-2. This is a game in which both are coming after a hard week. Buducnost did a match in Eurocup where they don't stand a chance, while Zvezda traveled to Istanbul against strong Fener, and they played a solid game.
    Traditionally, their head-to-heads are very firm, comparing those from last season where none were even close to this margin we have today. Buducnost don't have some statistical background for this under, but this coach is talking exclusively about defense and today Buducnost won't rush into it against Zvezda. With Partizan they were at 125 points, with Cedevita at 150, and those are the real derbies of this league. We don't have to spend a lot of words on Zvezda's defense, but that defense could be more prominent tonight because Lazic and Simonovic should get more play-time, just like Jenkins because Guduric and Mitrovic are very likely not to play, and I don't think Buducnost will outplay here. Zvezda left some of the best European teams at low numbers, fast Milano recorded 70, Baskonia also, Unics 65... There a re a lot of teams they stopped. Of course, they also have minuses, but in once such match I think the defenses will have the main word. In their head-to-heads there are never a lot of points. Only once in history did they go over this margin. It's not so important for this bet, but it's an interesting fact because their head-to-heads always have some additional energy, and that's what will happen today too.     I decided to go with the handicap in the end. Oostende are in top form, they have 8 wins in the last 9 games and the only defeat they have is to Mega Leks away where they played what was probably the worst second half of the season. They now have power forward Gillet, unlike in the first game. Ever since he got back on the team, they started doing better. Oostende have beat Avellino away since, they beat Canaris home and have 5 straight wins in Belgian championship. There is a big difference between now and the first game. There is also a big difference between their away and home games.

    The even bigger difference is in Mornar's away games. They recorded nothing but losses away, in ABA league and in Champions League. They lost by 46 to Canarias, by 18 to Ciona and by 31 against Strasbourg in the last round. They conceded over 90 points on average and I don't see a way for them to stand up to Oostende. Also,they are bad in ABA league as well with just 3 wins. The MZT game, which is very important, is coming up on Saturday. I think that Oostende will win this easily. The first half handicap is also a good option even though total handicap is better. Mornar can have some good periods but not continuity. The over at Oostende at 81,5 margin is good as well because I think Mornar cannot defend them. Mornar allowed over 90 points in Champions League and that is just as good as handicap. Details

    One glance at the table shows why Zadar are at 1,25 today but I don't think that's realistic in a situation we have today. Karpos Sokoli have gotten much better in the last games. They beat Budućnost home three weeks ago and managed to stay close against ZVezda in Belgrade for three quarters. They recorded a home in against Cedevita in the last round. That was a home game but it wasn't played at their arena. The games from season start aren't relevant. They have signed some good players since and now have a much greater choice of player compared to Zadar. Zadar covered this handicap only against Hermes Analitica whom they beat by 16 points in the Croatian championship. In ABA league they beat FMP by 2, Lost to Zvezda by 37, beat MZT by 8, Mega Leks by 4 and lost to Partizan and Igokea in the last two rounds home. In the Croatian championship, they covered it convincing ly only against Hermes. They beat Osijek by 9, lost to Split, and beat Sibenik by 4. They have a total of just two games which they won by a point different that is bigger than this handicap (only Osijek and Hermes).
    Karpos Sokoli have improved, they have a much bigger choice of players now and I don't see this as an easy game for Zadar who changed the coach. But the new coach cannot change things so quickly there. Zadar have just 7 players at their disposal and I think the point difference won't by 10 here.On the contrary. I think Karpos Sokoli could surprise them here. Details

    Cibona are complete again, and this is like a practice for the game against Cedevita on Sunday for them. I expected a handicap to be a bit bigger, so I I think is definitely a margin worth taking. Cibona have their best players after resting Žižić, Rozić, Joksimović and Marinelli on Tuesday against Juventus, so they didn't go to Lithuania. This is an important match for Cibona because they want to be in the top of the league. THe match against Jolly is definitely a bi game, and Cibona shouldn't have any problems. They played against Škrljev without Žižić and were up by 15 points in the road game. I won't list the national league examples, but Cibona covered this handicap in the ABA league three times so far, against Mornar, Karpoš and FMP, and they should all be better than Jolly. Jolly crushed Škrljevo in the road game, but lost convincingly to Zagreb, which is a plus for this pick. True, they crushed Zadar at home, but that was the worst period for Zadar, they were tired and realized they couldn't get points, so they used the substitutes. They played worse in the road games so far, and a plus for this pick is definitely that Cibona are playing Cedevita on Sunday, so they will want to solve everything in the first half today. Details

    Enisey play the VTB. They have 5 straight wins, two in the FIBA Europe Cup and three in VTB league. They managed to beat Kuban away and Novgorod 99-93. They also beat Rilski away 81-85 and Demir home 90-81. They even beat Parma Perm away 79-81. In VTB league Sigal would be jappy to lose one game by less than 30 goals. That is the difference in quality here and I think the handicap is set too low. Demir beat Sigal by 42 in Turkey in the first round, while Rilski won the second game after overtime. But Sigal are much worse away. They lsot to Bashkimi 89-82 in the championship and to Bero, a weaker Bulgarian team 86-71. They lost to Peja after overtime and beat Vellaznimi 113-85 in the last round. They allow a lot of points and I even though about the team over here but since I expect Enisey to win this easily, I've decided to go with a handicap because of the great difference in quality.

    All the options here are good for me - first half, team over at 93 points. Statistically,y, the team over might be the best option but with an over like that you always depend on shooting. Enisey can play good defense and win. Details

    I can't ignore the top results the Spanish team achieved this season, especially in away games where only against Juventut they won with five points of difference, so only then they didn't cover today's handicap, and in the home match where they suffered the only loss this season, to Unicaja. In away game they beat Gran Canaria with +11, at home Obradorio with +15, then at home Real Betis +22, away Juventut +5, away Cibona +28, they lost to Unicaja with -1, they beat Mornar at home with +46, and in the last round they won in Bilbao with +10. I don't want to underestimate Juventus and the Lithuanian league, and neither Juventus's two wins in the Champions League, but I think they have nothing to do here against the strong Spanish team who are playing top basketball the whole season. In the Champions League Juventus played against Strasbourg who had a desperate start of the season, the same like Oostende, and they're no comparable. The alarm could be the win over Lietvos, but I think this Canarias are stronger than them. Juventus are penultimate in the Lithuanian league, their record there is 3-6, they lost three games with a difference bigger than this one, in two defeats they covered the handicaps, and Canarias are incomparably stronger than all the teams Juventus have met with so far, and I think this will today head in over 10 points of difference.     The Lithuanians got only one win this season, two weeks ago against Nevezis in the national league. They lost all their other games, and far below today's margin. They hit 78 against Dzukia at home, 44 Ventspils, 67 Kalev, 45 Zalgiris, 59 Pien, 79 Juventus, 60 Vyatautas, 67 Neptunas, 74 Rytas, 72 Tsmok Minsk in the first round. They went over against Nevezis, but hit 74 against Apoel Nicosia in the second round at home. They had 66 against Lietkabelis in the last home match. They obviously struggle offensively, and I think this margin is too high. Pardubice left even Nymburk at 81, only Kolin went over this margin in a game they won 83-96, so I think they'll leave the Lithuanians under this high margin today. Pardubice have 1-1 score here, the Lithuanians 0-2, and this match is very important for the Czech in order to pass the group, which is a plus for this pick. Details

    I don't want to underestimate Zadar but I don't think they will trash Split today. Coach Matulovic said he hopes to give a chance to his younger players today, if the result allows it. The team from Zadar has three wins in the Croatian championship, they beat Kvarner by 5, Sibenik home by 4 and Zagreb by 7 away in the last round. They played their last game on Saturday against Krka and have used up a lot of energy. Vladovic and Marinkovic played for 40 minutes, Ramljak won't play today, Vranes is questionable as well. That means that, if we don't count the youngsters, Zadar have 6 players. Split, on the other hand, have Filipovic, who could wear Vladovic our. I don't think Vladovic will play as much as he did in previous games. Split have three players under the rim, all three capable of dealing with Marinkovic. Kedzo is in fine form, Najev can replace him and Split also have Kanaet who can play good defense. Split beat Cedevita in the first round away and Alkar in the second home. They lost the last game to Sibenik after falling apart in the third quarter. They allowed two 3s in two minutes and the 19-point difference isn't realistic. This is good also because of the fact that if Zadar take the lead that would allow them to hold back in the end, especially if their young players get in the game. Split should cover this handicap.     Cibona went to Skrljevo with almost top team. Only Ante Zizic who is having some injury problems, won't play. Rozic, Joksimovic, Sakic and JOhnson will be there to play a few minutes and settled the game. Skrljevo are not Cibona's level and I think the visitors will settle this by half time. I was thinking about this bet before I knew which players will be there for Cibona. What I know now only makes it even better. I expect the top lineup to settle the game by half time and this margin seems very acceptable. An extra plus to this bet is the fact Skrljevo were down by 14 points at half time to Jolly here. They were 11 points down in the Cup ti Zagreb here. They covered the handicap in the first round with Zagreb and with Zabok in the last round . Cibona are, however, much much better than all of those teams. One more thing, Marin Rozic gave an interview this week and said they have no training sessions, so it could become normal for them to play Croatian championship games. Details

    Cedevita's top team will play this game for a simple reason - they lost the first round unexpectedly to Split, there are a lot of injured players on both A and B teams and they decided to use this game as a practice session for the Eurocup game which is coming up on Wednesday. Hermes should struggle to avoid relegation. Cibona's B team already beat them by 18 points in the first round after taking an 18-point lead by half time. Head coach Mrsic will be there today and he doesn't allow holding back. I would be surprised if Hermes managed to finish the first half by a deficit of under 20 points. They will struggle with Cedevita's defense greatly, which should allow visitors a lot of easy points. Cedevita's centers will make the difference. ALl things considered, this should be a one-sided win. I was deciding between total handicap but I think the first half handicap is better. Some players from B team could play the second half and I don't want to risk anything. Details

    So far Zvezda settled all the games this season by half time. In ABA League, only Zadar went over this margin against Zvezda (35 points). Zvezda allowed 30 to MZT, 32 to Cedevita, 31 to Mega Leks in the last round. They allowed just 31 to Darussafaka in Euroleague and those are all of their official games this season. Krka beat the feeble Karops Sokoli, FMP beat them in Novo Mesto and Buducnost trashed them in Podgorica in the last round when they took a 17-point lead by half time. I don't think they will have any problems with krka who struggle on the offensve end. Krka hit 62 against Buducnost, 6 against FMP home and Zvezda have better defense than both of those. They will want to settle this as early on as possible since they have Euroleague in three days. Coach Raonic will rest key players is possible and in order to do that, this needs to be settled early.     There is a big difference in quality. Cibona's record is 3-1, Karpos Sokoli's 0-4. Cibona look very powerful, mostly because of Zizic and Sakic who dominate the start of the ABA League. They will take the biggest load today again, and on the other side they have a team who won't be able to stand up to them. Labovic, Knezevic and Zekovic are a few levels below, and here everything should be clear from the start. I expect Cibona to start out strong, something like they did against Mornar at home when by the half-time they were at +11. They crushed Igokea in the first round by half-time with +15. Still, this bet becomes even better with Karpos Sokoli's results who covered this margin only against Partizan at home. All other matches were far at half-time, and I expect Cibona to deal with things by half-time as well. Coach ulaomerovic didn't use the first five in the matches of the Croatian League during the week. Zizic, Rozic, Joksimovic and Sakic were at the side, and only Johnson played, and he played well, especially in the last match against Gorica. He himself announced that he would like to get ready some more. I expect the well-rested and stronger Cibona to solve the match by half-time today. A good option is also the total handicap, but due to them possibly relaxing a bit in the second half, I think this one is better. Details

    Cermona were a synonym for good defense last season in the Italian league, and since the coach is the same, the principles didn't change. It was see in the first match where they left the fast Pistoia at home at 67 points, they were leading with 20 points of difference and the match in the end fell apart and they lost the last quarter 23-16. On the other side, Trento are the ones who didn't have time to catch the rhythm. They changed the complete starting five and they will need time. What Trento can play is the defense, they remained with the fast Brindisi at 130 points and I think today's margin is way too high. Trento lost in the first round, today they will try to redeem themselves, and in this moment they can't do it with the offense. Cremona are not a team who rush without thinking, even though they are somewhat faster this season. The pre-season results don't favor this bet, but in this situation and looking at the first round, I think this is too high. Trento remained at 137 points with Cantuo in the last pre-season match, and we saw in the first round how Cantu will play when they went to 190 points against Venezia. Details

    Sibenik were built for great things this season. They acquired a lot of players and want the top spots in the league and in the Cup. This game will decide who is to play at the final tournaments. Not getting there would be a big failure for Sibenik. A lot of money has been invested in this team and they should finish in one of the top spots, maybe even threaten Zadar. They have done very well in preseason and are now to face Zabok, who beat Alkar with more struggle than expected in the first round. Alkar are main candidates for relegation. I think the difference in quality here is bigger than the bookies suggest. Sibenik will win this easily. They are complete today and they played the first round without two important players. Zabok are good but these teams' rosters cannot be compared. I expect Sibenik to cover this easily. Details
