Timea is a tricky opponent with her powerful shots, but Wozniacki should not struggle to win today. She's in great shape, and Timea is the type of players she does best against

The Danish player has recently been displaying the game that kept her at the top of the WTA list for such a long time. She won Istanbul, reached Montreal quarter final, and then got through to semi final in Cincinnati. Serena Williams beat her at both of those tournaments, but Wozniacki put up a good fight both times. Serena managed to stay calmer in the finish and that was what decided the match.

- This is the perfect moment for the US Open and I hope New Heaven will be as good as the previous tournaments. I'm healthy, I've had a few good wins, and this is usually the good part of the season for me. I love tournaments, the conditions suit me, and the spectators always support me - Wozniacki said.

It seems like America is agreeing with her. Her serve got much better here, which gives her enough confidence for the rallies. She is taking more risk, she's more consistent in deep shots which prevent the opponent from getting on the net. The improvements she's made are more than visible. 

When in good shape, Wozniacki is the favorite against any opponent, but she is well aware her first test here will be tough. Timea did impressively against Davis, Wickmayer, and Schiavone in the qualifying matches. She's aggressive, looking to record as many winners as possible, and does amazing finishes to her sets. That is particularly what she wants today - a close and dramatic finish in which the opponent is under pressure.

Caroline is doing her best against players such as Timea - the aggressive type looking to record winners. On top of that, Wozniacki's game following her service is great, which will leave Timea with little chance of surprising today.
