Dugeru has been doing really badly over the past few months. She lost to Falconi by ten games, to mladenovic by nine, to Cepelova by 8, to Linette also by 7. Kerber can beat all of those players by 7 games. She is doing brilliantly, she won Stanford and lost to Halep in Toronto and to Bencic in Cincinnati. Kerber is obviously feeling great and the conditions suit her. Regardless of form, Kerber is the more superior player that should win by this handicap. Since Dulgheru's form is also bad and she could lose to most players at this tournament, it's questionable whether she will win more than 4 games. Doi, Pugi, Svitolina and Gavrilova were all defeated to Kerber easily and would beat Dulgheru by this handicap. There is nothing speaking in Dulgheru's favor here and nothing suggesting she could do anything against Kerber today.
