There are several key things that suggest to me that the Swiss will not have an easy task today. Stakhovsky has proved that he can and knows how to play against him, and we should mention that he defeated him on two out of three occasions. Last time with a great performance here last year in the quarter-final. True, he started this season badly, with five defeats, but he defeated dangerous Lopez here which definitely improved his confidence. Now he can play against Wawrinka without the pressure of winning, and he has some advantages in the aspect of adaptation. This is his third straight week indoor, while this is Wawrinka's first indoor match this year. We should also keep in mind that he took a break after Melbourne so I believe he won't be maximally prepared and adapted here.
