Kyrgios lost the first set to Sela but didn't allow him a single break-point for the rest of the match. Tomic retired after losing the first set tie-break, allowing Young to get through

He beat Sela in the first round. Hats off to the Israeli but Kyrgios had no reason to fear such a player. However, he is prone to ups and downs and has once again proven that in this match. Nick didn't open great and has paid the price to that at 1-2. After that, he missed his only break point of the first set. The rest of the match was no problem for him as he broke Sela three times and hasn't allowed him a single break point. Still, these are the kind of matches he should win in straight sets. 

Against players ranked 51-100, he is 10-3 this and last season. He is 2-1 this season and has lost matches to Seppi and a set to Sela.

Young

The American played Tomic, another Australian. Bernard proved to have attitude and approach problems in the last two matches. He obviously wasn't doing his best, especially in the last defeat to Darcis and it's no wonder that he just gave up after the first set tie break. He said that the heat was too bad, which is definitely interesting for someone who grew up practicing in Australia.

Young had more chances on return against Tomic. He got just 5 break points, two of which were set points. Bernard had just one.

Young is 5-12 against players ranked 11-20. The last three seasons, he is 3-4. He met Kyrgios once, three seasons ago at green clay court and lost 4-6 4-6.
