Marin has still not found rhythm. He lost as a heavy favorite at 3 out of 4 tournaments. Coric struggled against Gomez and he's not in brilliant form either after the knee surgery. But he managed to get a set against Marin two weeks ago

After getting two wins in Marseilles the week before, Marin played Dolgopolov here in the first round. You never know with Ukrainian. He retired from the last match and got an ATP title two weeks before. Marin won the first set with one break point. Dolgopolov won the second set and instead of gaining momentum, didn't get a single game in the third set. 

Cilic lost to Kovalik, Brown and Evans as a heavy favorite this season. Those are three out of 4 tournaments he played this season. He has not been doing his best at all and we all wonder why is that so. 

Coric

While Cilic had a very unfavorable draw in Dolgopolov, Borna had it much easier against a home favorite who got here on a wildcard and isn't even a challenger level. Gomez ended up getting just two games. Borna's quality settled that match as he didn't even let him get a break point. 

- It felt good to record such an easy win. Thanks for the support, I enjoyed playing at center court - Borna said. 

Against Top 10 players, Borna is 3-14. He beat Murray and Nadal. He is 0-2 against Cilic but he managed to get a set in their meeting in Marseilles this season. That was a strange match in which Coric nearly got handed a first set bagel and then went on to force his opponent.
