The Danes have to score at least two goals but it won't be easy

The Germans are aware of the advantage they have today. One can expect them to take less risks, while the Danes have nothing to wait for

Copenhagen are complete outsiders against Bayer, but that was their story against the Ukrainian Dnjipro, whom they managed to eliminate with an excellent performance. They were expected to do the same against the Germans but we saw a real firecracker at Parken. The Danes put up a very solid resistance but they still lost the games.

Leverkusen did not stop at that single win but they also got three points at an away game in Dortmund - a dream start for their new coach Schmidt.

- If the Danes want to go through, they have to score at least two goals. We have prepared for the fact that today they will be different than they were last week. We have to play our game and there won't be any surprises - said the home coach.

The term 'their game' implies attacking football with lots of running and pressure across the pitch. Since this can be a bit risky, it's possible for the Germans to slow things down a bit or pay more attention to their back line.

- It will be a challenge. We want to play an attacking game but we also want to be strong in defense. We all want to take part in the Champions League, everything is focused on that - said Schmidt in the end.

In terms of squad, Lars Bender is doubtful in midfield, but his absence wouldn't be an insurmountable loss. Everyone else is available and the first eleven shouldn't be too different than in previous games.

On the other hand, Copenhagen didn't play this weekend and were completely focused on the second leg in Leverkusen.

- We were the outsiders before the first leg and nothing changed in that respect after it. But don't write us off just yet. If we manage to score the first goal in Leverkusen, this story could have a good ending for us. If we take the first lead, the fans might decrease their pressure a bit and that's where I see our chance. Truth be told, Bayer had a phenomenal start of the season, they played great against us and against Dortmund and we are not fooling ourselves thinking this will be easy. Our main goal was to get into the group stage of European competitions and we will have achieved that even if we lose this game as we will at least stay in the Europa League. On the other hand, we have a great situation and we have no imperative and no pressure whatsoever - said the away coach Stale Solbakken.

The situation in terms of absences is not ideal and Solbakken is without Mikkel Wohlegemuth, Kris Stadsgaard and Nicolai Jörgensen. However, these are the players that have been injured before and were not in the squad in the first game. Midfielders Youssef Toutouhi and Rurik Gislason and full-back Christoffer Remmer are also doubtful. They didn't take part in the first leg and they might not even have made it into the first squad if they were completely fit back then.
