Serena's 33 wins this season don't mean much to her. Wozniacki ended the match with 25 unforced errors, with 23 winners, while Serena had 53 errors and 51 unforced error. Serena struggled with her game, Wozniacki hit some really deep and strong balls, and didn't let her opponent constantly be in her zone. Wozniacki had a break advantage in the second set, managed to get back after a break behind two times in the third set, but when serving to stay in the second set, and the third set (meaning the whole match), she stumbled after all.

- When you play against Wozniacki, you know your match might be a little longer than normal. You go in there thinking: 'This is not going to be routine.' You're ready - Serena pointed out.

To defeat Serena, a few factors have to align. First of all, it's got to be her bad day, and your good day. Serena played a bad match, moved badly, and Wozniacki had an open, live match and showed she got back to her best style in the last two tournaments. Even though she could have reacted better in some important moments, like at the end of the second set. Serena said herself that this match will show her where she is right now, and she'll have another huge challenge today - 25th match against her older sister Venus.

- I definitely don't like playing her. I think I've lost to her more than anyone on the tour, so it's definitely not a fun match. She's tough. She has a great serve. She hits winners off the forehand. She does everything well so it's not an ideal matchup for anyone, to be honest - Serena said. Venus commented:

- I have to play well. There's no secret or science to it. I think anyone who has got any wins against her, they've pretty much played the match of their life. Granted, I'd like to imagine that I won't have to play the match of my life. That's tough to do. But I know I need to play well.

After Venus played against Kerber, she admitted she didn't know who Serena will be playing against, she was only focused on herself and her game. She also pointed out that this will be a tough match for her physically, both she and Kerber played a bad match, and yesterday, Venus had another demanding match. She played against Suarez for over two hours, with some really long rallies. An important note, Venus had problems with her serve. After defeating Kerber, she said that when your first serve isn't working, you just have to find another way. Another way against Suarez meant a more aggressive second serve (eight double) where she completely messed her opponent's balance a few times.

Once again, Venus relied on the strength of her hits, building advantage against Suarez. Suarez had a set and a break advantage at the beginning of the second and the third set, but then Venus just started playing stronger, making less errors in important moments, while Suarez started being weaker as the match went on. Defeating Kerber and Suarez definitely mean a lot to Venus, and the way she held her hands up after the last win show everything.
