Many predict that Coric will reach Top 10 and compare him to Djokovic. Fritz is a year younger and the greatest hope of American tennis but the European clay court is a new experience for him

Coric had a chance to become a seeded player at Grand Slam at the age of just 19 but he fell short of that position. The defeat to Kukushkin in Rome was a slip but Kukushkin was known to beat even more dangerous opponents. That is why Coric got a chance to play with his role model Djokovic in Madrid, which triggered for new comparisons between the two players. Coric can be happy with his clay court season because he, as a rule, lost only to better players. 

Borna reached third round here last year. He beat Robredo in the fifth set but the Spaniard wasn't entirely healthy back then and didn't prepare much. The young Croat has a lot to be confident about this season. He reached two ATP finals and beat Almagro on clay court after Almago won in Estoril the week before. 

Fritz was the ruling junior two years after Coric and was also No.1. He came here with his best ranking ever. He might have already proven himself on hard court but he has a lot to do at these kind of tournaments. We saw it clearly at the last three tournaments. Stepanek beat him twice after Fritz got the first set both times. The only clay court win for Fritz was over Marchenko, who doesn't like clay court even more. 

The American played only futures tournaments on clay court until this season. He has just one semifinal from that level but that is no surprise given his age and focus on hard court. This is his first Roland Garros but his opponent doesn't have much more experience either. Borna is just one year older. The American has no respect for anyone and had that cockiness every athlete needs. He definitely doesn't consider himself to be the favorite here.
