Chicago looking for a 'key to winning'

Chicago's coach Yallop expected his team react after their defeat in San Jose but he got another pale performance and a draw. It was their 12th one in 20 rounds and the way things are, they will probably break their own record of 16 draws from 2010.

- We're obviously not ready to impose ourselves from the start and outplay someone. Sometimes it's good not to lose but in this stage of the season, we have to find the key to winning - said the home team's coach.

Creativity is their major problem so the 'key' might lie in the return of young Shipp into the squad. Their new winger Nyassi, who was brought in from Montreal as a replacement of Dilly Duka, should also get some playing time.

- He's an exciting player, fast and skillful dribbler. I like his unpredictability, I believe the fans will like him too - Yallop commented his acquisition.

They beat Columbus in the Cup by the end of June with 4-2 after extra time but that match was decided by goals from Luis Anangon who was later sent on loan to Quito. They lost the league match in May by 0-2.

Columbus have stabilized their performances in last 10 days and they got two valuable wins. They also struggled with offense but young Bedell and Finlay have already joined the team while Arrieta should come back today (although he's not ready for the entire 90 minutes) and with the reinforcements promised by coach Precourt, they could be very dangerous in the playoff race.

Coach Berhalter has been waiting for an investment for a while but he's not given up on his ambitious approach.

- The plan is to dominate the possession and patiently wait for the chances. There may not be too many of them but once we get them, we should be ready to make the right move. 

With Arrieta's arrival, the only players missing are long-term absentees defender Williams and midfielder Jimenez, and two young players.
