This is a match that's been expected in excitement since day one, and no doubt this is one of the strongest duels of this Davis Cup weekend. The sixth and the fourth player of the world will face each other. There aren't many secrets between them, and judging by their duels, we'll see a lot more in the future. They faced each other six times so far, and those matches were all pretty evened out, and the details decided things. We should mention there were ten tie-breaks, four in the first set. The conditions are fast here, and the only realistic scenario is another evened out match. I expect both to come here fully focused, aware of the fact that every error of the break will cost them a lot. So, my choice is a tie-break in the first set, and for a unit or a few more, I recommend an over on a total sum in a match. This bet can be found under the offer "1st Set Correct Score", and is applied to the 7-6 result in the first set, no matter who gets it. Details

Vesely started the year in the best possible manner but after the title in Auckland started recording straight defeats. He played on clay last and is not to make an interesting transition. He says the change suits him because the Czech team decided to go with the slower version of the hard court that should suit Vesely most. He will have more time to prepare the shots, while his serve should stay just as deadly. He will have the fans supporting him but the experience is no on this side. He will play his first important Davis Cup match, while Tomic already has 14 of those, 12 of which he won. He has been displaying a better game this year to record 14 ATP win already. All of that makes him the favorite today but I don't think he'll sail through to the win. I think the Czech will get at least one set, which should be enough for this margin in this kind of a match. Both players are good servers and I expect at least one tie-break. Details

After a three-week break, Djokovic arrived somewhat earlier in Dubai in order to adapt. Although he spent a couple of days practicing, the match itself is always something different, and that could've been seen in the meeting with Pospilis. After the meeting Djokovic himself said that he needed time to adapt, but that has come to an end now. He felt the conditions and i the second round I expect his real form, although I would expect him to cover the handicap over Golubev even with a mediocre performance. Golubev is his "old customer" and all three head-to-heads so far were in one direction. On last year's Wimbledon he earned 15 break-chances out of which he used six, allowing him a total of five games. And Golubev played a lot better at the time than this year, and simply passing into the second round is a huge achievement for him. He would hardly reach that if he hadn't been playing against Martin, the 28-year-old qualifier who thus earned his ATP debut. Nervousness did its part with him, but Golubev still had to work hard to win We should mention that Martin is mostly known by her serve, but he took 40% of points on the return. That is, prior to Djokovic, very disappointing, considering the speed of the surface. I think he will completely "fail" here, even with his better game, and Djokovic's mediocre one. Details

It seems like Baghdatis beat Goffin easily once again but the Belgian had some problems with injuries a week ago and isn't at his best here either. Baghdatis took advantage of it but he didn't play well and managed to win only because he converted more of his break points (6/7 compared to Goffin's 3/7). He had only 47% of first serve and 9 double faults. I think a more fit player would have taken advantage of it. Anyway, Baghdatis advance to round 2, just like Coric, who almost left for Zagreb two days ago. But, after a slip in the qualifying match, he managed to get in the main draw as a lucky loser to take advantage of the opportunity. He beat Jaziri and since he already played before, I think he can be a very tough opponent for Baghdatis. Also, Coric's coach Krajan used to coach Baghdatis. I think Borna will be a tough nut to crack today and I wouldn't be surprised even if he would win. Details

Dubai seemed to have the fastest surface when it comes to these kind of conditions, which the WTA tournament last week proved. Conditions change, but the fact serving was always important here remains. Especially when it comes to player we have here. Both love this tournament, Lopez made it into final twice, while Ward got in on a wildcard last season and won the first round match. He recorded a bagel in his first qualifying win here and beat Copil in the second match. He is better adjusted to the conditions, especially because Lopez played clay almost two weeks ago. He said he had a minor injury after that but claims to be fit and ready now. I have no doubt that he really is ready but as per usual, I'm more cautious about his first round matches. I think Ward can stand up to him and I expect a very close match. Their only h2h in these conditions (Indian Wells last season) was just like that. Details

I decided to go with the Frenchman even though this is his ATP debut. His form is the main reason and despite not doing much before this tournament, his performances here simply amazed me. He sailed through he first match with Donskoy and then stunned the No.2 seed and one of the greatest talents of today - Coric. He lost a service game only once in both matches and always won over 80% of service points. That is not surprising since that is his trademark and the conditions in Dubai are traditionally fast. I think he has the upper hand when it comes to being adapted to conditions, and I think when it comes to confidence too. Golubev won only one match this season and his confidence is running low, as the match with Kuznetsov, in which he lost 10 out of the last 12 games proved. I think the Frenchman can win here and I'll take the handicap to be sure because of the fast conditions. Details

Even though Wawrinka is beyond any doubt the better player here, I have a lot of respect for Stakhovsky's performances lately. He displayed a great game in Rotterdam, especially the opening stages, just like here. He even managed to crush Raonic in the first set in Rotterdam. He didn't allow Rosol and Struff a single break point and I expect that Wawrinka won't have an easy task with him either. The Swiss recorded a 6th consecutive win but not as easily as the result would suggest. He even won less points against opponents service than Paire. Stakhovsy is well-experienced and has proven to be a tough task for the Swiss. I expect him to put up a good fight, especially early in the match. Details

After a number of years Wawrinka changed his tournament schedule in the first part of the season and now plays indoors too. The move proved to be very successful as he grabbed a title in Rotterdam, but he did struggle against Huta-Galung in the first round. He said he needed time to adapt, and although he is more accustomed to indoors tennis now, one must point out that the conditions are different here (bounce etc.). His position as one of the seeds frees him from the first round match and pairs him against one of the toughest possible opponents in the second in my opinion. Paire is also in good form and starting to remind us of his unquestionable talent after struggling a lot. He won the Bergamo challenger with just a single serve lost last week, and already played a match, or better said half a match here, since Mathieu resigned. I think this would be the ideal setup, since he did not get tired and got to feel the surface, balls, etc. He's had a day to rest since and I see he will be a fierce opponent to the great Swiss player today. He was brave in his statements prior to the match saying he does not fear Wawrinka and has beaten him before. Apart from the 2013 Montreal victory, he twice won a set in the remaining three matches, and I would not be surprised at all if he did the same here. I expect them to go through this margin in two sets even, since they're both great servers. Details

I think this would be the ideal time for Raonic and Bolelli to reverse the course of their previous matches and for the first set to have a tie-break. So far we saw two extremely tough matches in which the Canadian took advantage of his chances at the start of the match, which later turned into a serving contest. The main reason I predict a different scenario now is adaptation, as it's common knowledge the Canadian takes some time to get in sync with the surface and balls. Bolelli on the other hand already played a match here, and left his countryman Vanni without a single break chance in the entire match. I believe the fact they met last week will help the Italian more and will make him fully focused on the serve at the start of the match. The conditions are very quick and a tie-break seems a very realistic scenario here. The odds themselves made me decide on the exact result of the first set at William Hill, which is a copy of a first set tie break. Details

I will not back down from betting on the same team again and this is why. First and foremost, this seems to be a completely open match between player who do best indoors. Struff is defending final here and has done better in h2h matches so far. He won all 4 of those and we need to point out that both matches indoors were close and finish with a third set tie-break. Stakhovsky trusts him form that seems better than Struff's and that should be enough for a new close match that could easily end in three sets. I expect them to go over this margin even in two Neither of them offered a single break point here so far. Details

This is a classical clash between players who do more than well in these conditions. Service is one of the reasons for the bet, of course, and the fact this match has no favorite. A close match is the most likely scenario here. Motivation is running high with both since the Frenchman has quarterfinals to defend and Struff made it into his first ever ATP semifinals here. The Frenchman did three qualifying matches and that's his upper hand but Struff had special preparation for this tournament. Both will want to win badly today and I expect three sets, with the margin being covered even in two. Besides this over, for which the margin is set a game too low I think, I would recommend the 10.5 over in the first set, which you can find at 2.70. Details

The Indian proved to be worth more than his ranking early this year. He was the great surprise of the Chennai qualification (beat Bhambri and Marchenko) and did good qualifying matches here as well. He dropped a total of 13 games on three matches and clearly plays his best tennis ever. Conditions and adjustment to them are his upper hand today and I expect him to be able to use them. There's also the support from the stands. Maktic played only two tournaments is very different conditions so far and now faces another adjustment period - and not a pleasant one. Details

This is a classic bet when it comes to Raonic, one I eagerly pick in a situation such as this one: he is facing a player in great form, with a good serve and the conditions are very quick. I therefore believe that he'll have a tough job today, and will need to show more than he did in the first round, where he played three sets against Kuznetsov. Even the Russian, who is currently a level below the Italian, still managed to drag the first set to tie-break, and I believe such an outcome to be very likely in the first set today. Details

After he was one point away from taking the match tot he fifth set in the fourth round in Australia, Garcia quickly got a rematch against Wawrinka. Though it's been just two weeks since that, plenty of things happened in that period, especially for the Spaniard. He took his fourth title in Zagreb, confirming he can be very dangerous indoors too. Although this tournament was scheduled right after Zagreb, he had plenty of time to rest and confirmed he feels great physically. He had to overcome a mental challenge against Istomin in the first round here, but managed to win in two sets. I believe he can now show his good form with no pressure. Wawrinka cannot show the same, as his first round match was the worst we've seen from him in several years. Huta Galung, a player outside the Top 200, took 19 more return points than he did, and apart from the victory the rest of the match for the Swiss is best forgotten. His excuse was that this was his first indoors match and this is a valid point, but I believe he'll struggle here even with playing much better. Garcia is filled with confidence, and his three previous wins in their duels prove he can handle Wawrinka. Honestly, I would not be surprised if the Spaniard won today, and apart from this handicap I can also recommend him winning a set. Details

These odds make no sense at the moment and the only reason for them might be the possible fatigue with Garcia after his great week in Zagreb that was rewarded with his fourth ATP title. But he played only 4 matches in Zagreb, one of which finished in straight set. It's Wednesday and this is his first match here and I'm sure he's had enough time for rest. The level of form and confidence cannot be more different with these two players at the moment. Istomin would probably still be without a win if there wasn't for the political manipulation, while Garcia has a title, Chennai QFs, and AO round of 16. He won 3 out of 4 h2h matches against Istomin, one of which was indoors and ended with a convincing win. Details

I simply have to go against Monfils. This year he played two tournaments and his sorrows are bigger than ever. Last week in Montpellier he defended the title and often complained of fatigue. Somehow he reached the semi-finals in which Gasquet showed him his place. Monfils simply wasn't himself and although he didn't mention anything later, I don't believe his situation could drastically improve in two days. He beat Beck in Montpellier only for Simon to beat him. Then he went to this tournament's qualifications. With a total of nine missed games he passed the uncomfortable Ilhan and dangerous Gombos, allowing only one break-point in those two matches. Adaption kicked in and I think that he could stand up to Monfils. In a sea of possibilities, I opted for his won set, while I also think a handicap on him seems like a good idea, as well as an over for games. Details

This is a classic bet when it comes to de Schepper, and although Monfils is undoubtedly the better player here, I think it has to be taken at these odds. Even more so because Monfils is a goofy one, and although he is the title defender here, he often enters a tournament a beet sluggishly. De Schepper is a steady one on the other hand, and will undoubtedly rely on his excellent serve, as he did against Ilhan in the first round (getting in 77% of his first serve). If he repeats the performance, Monfils will have a tough job in one of the faster indoors arenas, even more so since he hasn't played any matches yet. All things considered, I believe we have wrongly set odds here, and I'll go with the riskier option, while for a higher stake I can recommend the 9.5 over and even an overall over for the match. Both players looked forward to indoors tournaments and will clearly be able to do their best in these conditions. Nieminen has a kind of a special connection with tournament - he never lost before QFs in his 4 appearances here. Also, Nieminen is prone to complicating things and often played deciders. In his five best of three sets matches this season, four ended in three sets, which is another proof Nieminen is a good choice for these kind of bets. Struff, on the other hand, made progress at ATP level by doing particularly well in these conditions. He recorded two semifinals indoors to confirm these are his favorite conditions. I think there is no favorite in this match (as the odds suggest), which makes over as the most logical option. I expect this to be just like their previous two head-to-head matches and I would not be surprised if they get over the 22.5 games margin in two sets. Details

These two played Wimbledon twice so far, and this margin was easily broken in four sets. That was in the previous two years when Tomic played both bad and good, but was a tough opponent for Berdych. I'm convinced he'll be that again, because he's playing great this season, especially at this tournament. After the warmup against Kamke, he eliminated two dangerous players (Kohlschreiber, Groth), and that definitely boosted his self-confidence. His serve is great and he had 60% of the first in every match so far, with 80% points. Berdych's got similar numbers, but I don't expect them to change for either of these two. Berdych passed three rounds without losing a set, and he is a favorite here, but I definitely don't think this will be easy for him. Details
