Crystal Palace got a boost of confidence after a win over Liverpool and the lucky draw with Swansea, while Aston Villa hit rock bottom, not recording a win the last 9 rounds. Both teams played two matches over the past month. Crystal Palace met Sunderland and lost easily 1-3, having no response to Sunderland's defense. Even so, this league is completely unpredictable, and nobody except for Salzburg can be as much of a favorite as the bookmakers make them seem with the odds offered.

To be honest, we expected the odds for PSV to be 1.40 or 1.50 tops, and it's much bigger in this duel between the leader and a team from the bottom of the league table. It's a nice surprise because these two teams and their current lineups can't fit the same sentence together, and that means I honestly can't think of a way for Heracles to avoid a defeat today. Utrecht and Excelsior last met in 2012 and 2011 - Utrecht won 3-2 twice and Excelsior 3-1 once.

Tillburg comebacker plays a nice and efficient football, sometimes too naive and risky when they face stronger and more experienced teams, but Cambuur aren't the top of Eredivisie despite a good start. Cambuur's metamorphosis is weird, really, they had a negative record last season, when they didn't have one guest win, but that's also the argument that they could line up defeats this season, too.
Cambuur come to Tillburg without five players, all from the starting lineup, or at least the first pretenders for the starting eleven, and they come from all the lines. Coach De Jong is very limited by this, and most of those that will play are exhausted by the unexpected overtime on Wednesday against the amateur Scheveningen team. Cambuur exepected that job to be much easier, but obviously the fatigue caught up with them, and that could have a negative effect today. Willem II didn't play on Wednesday, but dominated against Heracles last Saturday, boosting their self-confidence for this duel. They'll play with their strongest lineup with very offensive intentions, like they always do, especially at home. So, much pressure from the home team, and thick guests' formation are expected.
Willem II had success with that kind of approach three times this season, at home. They were defeated twice, but against the leader PSV and Vitesse, two teams with great combination game and loads of fast players. Cambuur don't have players like that by far, and can hardly present danger. The guests could shine unexpectedly, but their hope lies in a good defense, rather than outplaying the opponent openly, especially if they're tired. Details

Feyenoord are on a four-game winning streak and headed for the top with the best defense in the league. Feyenoord met Cambuur away last Sunday and our tip was that the home team won't lose. But, Feyenoord took advantage of home team's mistake late in the second half to settle the score, not allowing the home team to create a single chance till the end, while at the same time not having any themselves. Feyenoord are meeting Zwolle today in Rotterdam, but their record home this season is not very good - they recorded three defeats and three wins. They meet Rijeka home next week in a game that is crucial in Feyenoord Euroleague campaign.
All of that means Zwolle might be a tougher opponent than the odds suggest. They already beat PSV and Vittese this season and played a draw with Ajax in Amsterdam.
Zwolle lost by more than a goal only once and they're very motivated.
I'm opting for the bet that Zwolle might lose, but not by more than one point. If Feyenoord take the lead, they won't push and will try and stay ahead, which they do well. The four-game winning streak might even end today... Details

Tottenham's coach Mauricio Pochettino was quite undermining to the European League, up until the match against Asteras when he finally saw that everything had gone to hell and that all of the scores should be fixed on all of the fronts because the critics are becoming louder and the London club's management more impatient and known for their swift changes in coaches. Ponchettino experimented a bit with the line-up against the Greeks, but he ordered a complete offensive and maximum engagement, and such an approach brought them triumph of 5-1.
Tottenham needed something like that because of out eight championship matches they won only three, and against Southampton and West Ham it was the minimum 1-0. The success against Asteras is thus viewed as a turning point.
The schedule after the European match was merciful and paired them against Newcastle whose strength is witnessed by only six championship wins in the year 2014. Although they've won against Leicester in the last round, it doesn't mean they will be able to match the best clubs in the league.
It's hard that Newcastle will be able to seriously pose a threat to Tottenham and this match will almost certainly go in favor of the complete domination of the host. Last year Newcastle surprised us in London and celebrated with 1-0, but in February Tottenham returned the favor with a convincing 4-0. They were triumphant in mutual matches in the last four seasons on their home stadium. This is a very clear option for the bookies, and for those with a bit of bravery in them, even for the odds with more then one goal difference. Details

Cambuur from Leeuvarden are playing the season of their dreams, holding the third place, and only the leading PSV defeated them. Not a coincidence, but a result of a great game, especially when they play at thir own stadium which will be filled till the last spot against Feyenoord today, like it is in every game. The home team's optimism might make life difficult for the great Rotterdam club, but Feyenoord also have three consecutive league wins after the bad start of the season. They still have their problems, though. You could see it on Thursday in Rijeka when Andrej Kramarić hat-tricked and knocked them out. One day of rest, one day of practice, and two trips is what Feyenoord players had after the exhausting game in the mud and rain in Rijeka. Their captain Immers also got injured, as well as the right back Wilkshire. Since the center back duo Mathijsen - Van Beek are still out, coach Rutten can't count on four starting team players, which is a big handicap.
Also, it's hard to say that any Feyenoord individual is in a good enough form to solve the duel against the tough, motivated and compact home team who don't have stars, but have the team and team game.
