Kerber can beat all of those players by 7 games. She is doing brilliantly, she won Stanford and lost to Halep in Toronto and to Bencic in Cincinnati. Kerber is obviously feeling great and the conditions suit her. Regardless of form, Kerber is the more superior player that should win by this handicap. Since Dulgheru's form is also bad and she could lose to most players at this tournament, it's questionable whether she will win more than 4 games. Doi, Pugi, Svitolina and Gavrilova were all defeated to Kerber easily and would beat Dulgheru by this handicap. There is nothing speaking in Dulgheru's favor here and nothing suggesting she could do anything against Kerber today. Details

The only reason Kulichkova is a slight favorite is the fact that she is currently better ranked. She has been playing mediocre in the last two months, a loss against Marand in Washington is a really bad outcome. Later heavy loss against Putintseva shows just how unfit mentally and physically she is. There are too many oscillations in her game, and if the first few games don't go her way, the chances are she will play even worse as the match goes. Her opponents in the qualifications here are not as good as her, so two wins in straight sets are no surprise. Kasatkina is form of her life, she is playing good and reliable tennis, she is improving with each match, plays well on all surfaces and her confidence is high. She convincingly defeated both of her opponents in the qualifications here, and she can play even better. Krunic defeated Kulichkova in Bucharest by six games, and the next week Kasatkina defeated Krunic by 8 games. Considering current form, abilities and performances on the court, I think that Kasatkina is an even bigger favorite than the bookmakers believe she is. Realistic odds on her right now are 1.5, so the odds offered by the betting houses are more than acceptable. Details

Goffin did a good job adjusting to the conditions in Gstaad to beat Zeballos easily. His opponent had some problems but regardless of that, Goffin did great. He recorded a shock defeat to Paire last week on account on Paire's momentum and Goffin's somewhat poorer physical state. Sousa is in fine form and mostly beats those who are worst than him. He is quite reliable but displayed some short comings last week and this one, which Goffin will take advantage of. He could have lost the second set against Laaksonen as well but he should have lost to Istomin altogether. Since Goffin is at a much higher level and has successfully adjsuted to the conditions, I think he will win by 6 or more games. Sousa, as a rule, loses to players like Goffin or those who are better. Borna's approach and motivation in Umag are the key for any bet on him. He has demonstrated both in the first round against Granollers, his serve and forehand were great and he played great in the key moments. Bedene has enough quality to compete with Borna, but mentally he is nowhere near as strong as him and he usually plays below his abilities. Since he changed nationality, he has been more confident and plays better, but that's far from the level necessary to win today. He has shown a lot of weaknesses and insecurities against Delic, and those should be present even if he plays more relaxed. Borna is in better form, and as I mentioned earlier, his approach and motivation are on a high level, which can't be said for Bedene. If it was played anywhere else, Borna would still be the favorite, in my opinion. The odds on Borna's win are quite good, but this handicap can work even better in three sets, even though I believe that Borna will win in straight sets without a problem. A 2-0 in sets for Borna is also not a bad option on a smaller stake. All in all, based on what he demonstrated over the last few months and in the first round, I can conclude that Borna is playing at a higher level in all parts of the game, and mental strength and desire can often be crucial (as against Larsson last week). Kontaveir is the ideal player to bet against because she pushes too hard and she's prone to unforced errors. She mostly loses convincingly against the better players and often loses even against the worst ones because she beat herself. Azarenka is motivated and serious about every match. She never gives up, she's in good form and realistically much more reliable and better than Kontaveir. I think Azarenka will win by more than 6 games and that her opponent will help her with that. What Kontaveit displayed at RG is extremely bad and only goes in favor of this. A lot of people tend to overrate her but has been looking for her game for a while now and her approach makes it difficult to record a better result. She is not as good as the bookies often suggest and rarely plays a good match, which is only logical given her approach. Details

Following a bad period of physical and emotional trauma, Azarenka will be one of top players very soon. Her motivation this season is clearly visible from her attitude before and during the matches and her results. She is always completely focused and motivated for each match, having lost only to Serena and Sharapova in the past months. That says it all about her current form. Lepchenko is completely different - not interested, pretty frustrated and unhappy. She is doing badly, making a lot of mistakes and had bad footwork. Since Azarenka will dominate the rallies, Lepchenko will push serve and faster paced game more which will result in Azarenka dominating each segment of the game and Lepchenko making more and more mistakes and giving up on the match. The 5.5 handicap margin is good, I would go even with 6.5. I expect a convincing and a sure win for Azarenka. Details

Considering what we've seen this week, I have to notice that the difference between these two is huge. Everyone has a hard time adjusting to the grass, and the matches are full of break chances. After Radwanska's disastrous form, she played two rounds here in a great way, and showed she's back and that the grass suits her completely. The matches against Beck and Basczinsky should be forgotten, and move on. She had a bad start in both, but after a few games, when she gets the rhythm, her opponents will hardly win points. The way that Davis played the first two rounds tell you her form is bad, and her tennis isn't any better, regardless of her aggressiveness, she won't get many points against Radwanska. What's worse for Davis is that she doesn't seem like she knows her way on the court, and her perception is totally skewed. As the tournament comes to the end, and the central court becomes slower because of all the rallies from all the matches played there, that will suit Radwanska perfectly because she adjust to the changes faster than Davis does. Besides all that, Davis lost to players worse than Radwanska, and with this handicap, like she lost to McHale who was crushed by Radwanska here. Details

Both players prefer the doubles, and rarely play singles. Monroe is playing the singles more often, and in those cases, he shows more than Qureshi. I don't understand why they give this ratio of odds here, and especially why Qureshi is the favorite. The faster court suits both players, and playing grass gives a good feeling to Pakistanis and Indians especially. He does that the best, and he will switch to offense when necessary. I think Bolelli doesn't stand a chance, despite his tactics. Details

Goffin is a Top 20 player who can break his opponents with his persistence and rallies, and resist well even to the best ones. He's been playing better ever since Miami, and you can see that in the matches he played - it is a big deal when you take a set from Ferrer or Nishikori. Goffin showed his real strength against Krajinović. Krajinović was hitting everything, but then lost it physically and psychologically, and Goffin easily beat him after that. Giraldo beat Young convincingly in the first round, but that was a match filled with oscillations, and it could have ended the other way around. The Columbian's form isn't that great, and beating Youzhny, Berankis and Čilić isn't that valuable considering what they played and what their form is. Goffin is stronger mentally and he's more consistent, so I think he won't have problems with Giraldo. He showed a lot more on the court and outside of the court in the last months, so he should win by at least eight games difference. Details

Considering that Lino didn't do too well on WTA tournaments, she decided to head to the ITF level to raise her confidence and stay in shape. She mostly doesn't do a lot of errors and plays smart, mostly thanks to experience, but she's having a hard time against better and younger, physically superior players. McHale didn't start out too well, but her shape is rising. Its peak was in Rome where she beat excellent players and showed that a lot can be expected from her on this year's Roland Garros. Last week she was defeated by Keys, but her game style doesn't suit her, and Keys is the better player. Today McHale can completely impose her game and outrun Lino in all segments. She's physically superior and currently plays better. Game handicap of 3.5 is completely satisfying, and for a combination I recommend bigger handicaps. The opponents Lino beat were a couple levels under McHale. Conclusively, these players are different in quality and anything except McHale's win would be a surprise. Details

Torro hasn't been doing well on WTA level for a while not so she decided to start doing ITF tournaments. She was doing great there but Roland Garros is a completely different world She does really badly against against better players and she's mentally weak, beating herself in most of the matches. Azarenka id a lot since her comeback to prove she is the tennis elite. Every aspect of her game is great, which is why a lot is expected of her here. She will win most of the rallies. Her service games will be more convincing and almost every Torro's service game will be a chance for a break. The difference between these two players is too big. We only need to see by how many points will Azarenka win. Details

Mayer is still coming back, and Bautista Agut is one of the better players mentally and physically, who worked hard and invested effort to get far further than anyone thought he would. Roberto isn't in his best form, true, but he's rising, and his game is getting better, and I'm sure he'll give his best tennis here at Roland Garros. A process of the comeback Mayer is in will last a bit longer, especially because of the number of big matches he should play before he can deal with today's opponent. The difference in the form of these two is too big now, and it would be a really big surprise if Mayer won a set. Considering all the parameters pointing at Roberto winning convincingly, I believe he will, and that he'll take at least one set with two break-advantages, which will be enough to cover the given handicap. Roberto is one of the more reliable players on the tour, he mostly only loses to better players, and beats the weaker ones, so I'm sure he'll confirm that today. Details

I can't escape the impression that Monaco is more consistent and has a better rhythm. He'd fare better in the recent tournaments if he didn't have a tough lot. He beat Paire and Querrey convincingly here, showing his great return, and his firmness on the serve. Mayer hasn't been playing badly lately, he mostly relies on his serve and forehand, but he's just not as good as Monaco. He showed good tennis in the first set against Pouille, but Pouille just fell apart in the second, and that's why that result happened. Monaco beat Mayer in straight sets this year, and he wasn't as good then as he is now. I'm sure Monaco will win by at least one break advantage per set, and if there's just one set with the break, and he wins the second in the tie-break, the stake will be void. Mayer is a typical player who has to deal with some issues with himself, and that will only get worse because he already lost to Monaco this year. All it takes is a few minutes for him to break, so the match goes to Monaco's side completely. Details

It was obvious Chung will be the main candidate to win the title in Busan and Seoul. He played fantastic last week, maybe showed some problems against Kudla, but made up for it this week. He beat all his opponents in Seoul by five or more games difference. He only had problems against Lu who pays fast and aggressive, doesn't name many mistakes and serves well when he needs to. Chung won the first set, went down a bit, like he felt he didn't need to play better, which made him lose a set. In the third, he figured out he was wrong, and then he crushed the opponent. The key point was the backhand winner on the break ball, one we rarely see - this only shows his abilities. I don't expect Soeda to do anything special, and it's been like that for a while. He's a standard challenger player, and plyas well on that level. But he needs much more to get more. Considering that Chung is playing the final at home, where he feels secure and stimulated, and he is realistically better than Soeda, he should win by at least five games difference, and even if it's only four, Pinnacle can void the stake. Halep finally plays at the level she's supposed to ahead of Roland Garoos. She beat Venus, Dugheru, and Riske convincingly by losing only 3 games per match max. Her footwork's great, she is aggressive enough and simply doing great. Carla has been doing badly all throughout this tournament in every level of the game. Shes got too many ups and downs and that kind of a game cannot work against Halep, who's in this excellent form. Bouchard could have won easily if she wasn't for her arrogance and bad approach but Kvitova beat herself. She did badly, which is not surprising as rarely does well in two consecutive tournaments. Halep already beat Carla easy on hard court and everything is even better today for her. She's on fire and I don't think Carla has anything that could stop he at the moment. Details

Daria spent a lot of time on the court since the start of the tournament and she will definitely feel consequences of it, especially now that she's meeting an opponent who is very fit. The first few rounds were not really surprising but Bencic and Ivanovic beat themselves, while Daria just didn't make too many mistakes and didn't let go. Ivanovic failed in tactics which resulted in many unforced errors and Daria managed to successfully avoid her forehand. On the other hand, Timea beat two hard hitters to display endurance, both physically and mentally. Since she's currently in better form and is not as nearly as traumatized by the time she spent on the court, she should win convincingly by 6 or more games. Details

Siniakova's level dropped after Prague and its a miracle she even made it into Rome first round. Mladenovic could have beaten her because the match was a total disaster on both sides. Siniakova is mostly keeping her game on a certain level but when playing better opponents, she drops level. In the Mladenovic match, Siniakova lost too many service games and recorded more than 10 double faults. If she going to play like that against Venus, she will lose by at least 7 games. Venus is in decline but the fact is she lost the last two matches to players much better than Siniakova. I'm sure Venus is not happy with those defeats and that Siniakova is a perfect chance for her to restore some confidence. The American is a few level above the opponent and should cover this handicap even if she was in worse form. Given Siniakova's bad performances, there should be no problems for Venus. She has more powerful and deeper shots and better and more precise game. SIniakova's mistakes and short comings will only get more obvious as the time goes by. Details

If we taking into consideration form of both players we could easily conclude that Bolelli mostly does well and that he wins when being the favorite, while Thiem does one tournament well and the others pretty badly. I believe Thiem is far from the level he is thought to be and time will only sow that. He did quite well in Miami but his tennis has been ridden with ups and downs and he hasn't been reliable since. The only thing that could make us believe he found rhythm is his win over Fognini but that far from the truth because Fognini did horribly. Bolelli is at least keeping a certain level and doesn't have that many ups and downs. He's currently better and he's playing home, which is the upper hand. Either way, he's better and more consistent which is why I think he should win. Details
