One meeting in Russia finished as a draw and the other one was a +7 win for France but we need to note that Slovenia could count on top two scorers who scored 26 out of 58 goals. What I like as a tip in this game in goals over because both of these teams are quite efficient.

Hungary went over this margin in 19 out of 26 competitive games over the last three years and they didn't go over against Germany, Chile, Macedonia, Slovenia, Switzerland who are much more defense oriented. This French generation is undefeated for three years in official games, apart from their meetings with Spain or Germany, who are much better than Sweden.What I like most as a betting option here is a goal over for France because Sweden disappointed me a lot with their defense against Qatar even though they allowed only 21 goals. However, it was Qatar that mostly controlled the pace.

France have a lot of solutions in offense and have the kind of bench no other team of this generation has. They averaged 33 goals scored at 2014 EC and were not able to score at least 30 goals only in the first game with Hungary. But they got their revenge in the final when they scored 33. AT WC in Russia, they averaged 32 and went over the 30-goal margin in 6 out of 9 games. They didn't go over only in games they settled early on. They played Sweden back then and scored 35 in total and 20 until HT. They finished under the 30-goal margin only against Spain but Spanish defense cannot be compared to Sweden's. Also, that game was settled in the first half and there was no rushing in the second.

In the last 3 years, this team went under the 30-goal margin just in 10 out of 47 games. Among those ten are Spain three times, a friendly with Portugal with B team. France did great in the first game here to score a total of 40 goals against Egypt.

On the other hand, Sweden were pretty good in defense the past few years but their first game with Qatar wasn't good. Qatar were inefficient and the Swedish goal keeper had 41-percent of saves. They conceded 26,5 in competitive games over the past three years but they conceded a lot against all good offenses (2015 Iceland 31 and France 5, 2016 Denmark 33, Hungary 31, Croatia 30). In preparation games before this competition, they conceded 26 to Norway, 27 to Denmark.

With other teams they recorded: Qatar 20, Algeria 22, Croatia 24, Russia 28, Switzerland 24, Tunisia 23, Spain 21 and Sweden 24. Things were similar at last year's Euro in all the important games: the Netherlands 24, Macedonia 21, Norway 22, Germany 24, Croatia 26. We can conclude that they played first halves under this margin in 13 out of 16 games at the last two major competitions. If we look only at the games important for the semis of those competitions, they are 13-for-13. Three games they players in these qualifiers went under (Romania 21, Bulgaria 27 and Sweden 20). Preparation games ahead of this: Norway 29 and 27, Sweden 23.

Things are pretty similar with Egypt. They went under this in 4 out of 7 games at the championship in Russia but the results with Iceland (30) and Venezuela(42) aren't that relevant. There is no doubt in my mind that Faroe Island will win this. Since I expect them to open fiercely, the first half handicap at them seems like a very good option. I don't think they will go under some 15 goals and I don't think Chile can go over 12.

Faroe Islands play a fast-paced game similar to Danish national team game. They were very efficient in qualifiers for this competition (scored 16 against Switzerland in the first half, 17 against Israel, 16 Finland). Switzerland and Finland are better than Chile and Isreal are at least one level better. They had a 4-goal win over Finland at half time and 2 against Finland. Their key players are at Danish and German teams and will transfer their game here.

But, the main reason for this tip are Chile. They are extremely defensive-oriented. At the Panamerican championship this season, they conceded 18 and 14 goals by half time to the only comparable opponents Brazil and lost first halves by 4 and 9 goals. The US managed to score 14 at half time and win the first half by 5. Two years ago in Russia at WV, they conceded the following number of goals by half time: South Korea 19, Hungary 17, Poland 16, Sweden 23, Serbia 18, Venezuela 16 and Algeria 18. They had an 8-point deficit at HT to Korea, 13 Hungary, 8 Poland, 15 Sweden, 12 Serbia, 4 Venezuela and 10 Algeria. I'm not saying Faroe Islands are Hungary and Sweden level, but they are at least as good as Venezuela. Chile as a rule get behind by half time and their opponents then hold back in the second half which results in less goals.

I believe Faroe Islands will set their pace here and score a lot of goals by half time to get at least a 4-5 goal lead. Details
