    Oostende are after their 6th consecutive title. They are on a 16-game winning run in all competitions. They lost to Mons in the first round home in Belgian league and went on to record 17 straight wins since. They finished regular season with 8 wins more than runner-ups Antwerp and that only shows how dominant they are in Belgium. Since they were set to finish in spot 1 with 10 rounds still left in the championship, their motivation and focus wasn't always top level. However, the playoffs are to start today and given coach Gjergja's mindset, I have no doubt they will go full throttle.
    Willebroek managed to reach the playoffs for the first time ever. They wanted but couldn't avoid spot 8. They lost to Oostende in the last round by 9 but there is the story about motivation again. Oostende lost earlier in Willebroek but that game came at the worst possible moment for the defending champions - between two semifinal meetings with Chalon in FIBA Europe Cup. Earlier in the season, Oostende won by 11 home, had +20 at half time. In the first game in Willebroek, it was +22 (+22 at HT).
    There is no question about the difference in quality here. Oostende have a lot more players to choose from. An extra problem for Willebroek is declining form. They are on a 6-game losing run away. They managed to do well only against weakened Okapi and lost by 8 while they lost by 30 or more against Spirous, Mons and Brussels (double digits by half time). Unlike Oostende, those teams had something to play for in the finish of regular season.
    Total handicap is also a very good option but since the next meeting is on Friday and the stats back the first half a bit better, I'm going with that option. Details

    Umag did great by making into Top 4. That saw them get in the race for the title but that didn't go so well. They record nothing but defeats, which is no wonder given their short rotations and injuries. They will be without some players today as well. Dubrava have big plans here. They will try and finish in spot 2 but spot 3 is much more realistic. They won't be able to count on Sandrk and Vrdoljak today. However, they have enough other players to cover for that. Umag already lost to Vinkovci, who are horrible away. Nexe broke them through pace int he second half which is something I expect today. These two teams met in Zagreb recently. Dubrava won 34-25 back then. The goal difference might not be that high today but the visitors' win in handicap should be a sure thing. Details

    Pogon and Koszalisnka are to end their season today. Pogon are in spot 5 and cannot improve, while their opponents sit in spot 6 and will finish there. Pogon won two out of 3 h2g meetings of this season, Koszalin won once (25-17). The last meeting, which was played in Koszalin some 3 weeks ago, was won by Pogon 30-16 (15-11 ht). Koszalin scored just one goal in the last 13 minutes. Two games were unders, but all three took place back when Pogon were in the race for top three spots. Koszalin were close to that as well. All three had the pace for over 50 goals. Let's also add that both meetings of last season finished at over 55 (28-28, 31-27). The margin is ow too high, neither team has much to play for, they both recorded three defeats in the last three games (4 out of 6 finished over 50, one at 47, one at 46). They are exhausted and I expect this to be something they want to just get over with. Details
