    Le Mont were not given the licence for next season, which means they are set for relegation. The only thing Aarau have for the rest of the season is leaving Schaffhausen behind in the battle for spot 4. Much more importantly, Aarau already started putting the team together for next season, which means extra motivation for those who are not sure they'll stay on the team.

    Even since Le Mont were relegated, their game is much worse. It's like everyone is just looking forward to all of this ending. Wohlen beat them 4 days ago. Le Mont have not created any chances. The only goal they scored was an accident. Wohlen could have won by more than one goal.

    Le Mont's goal keeper Kostadinovic and Feuillassier have been out for a while not. Injured midfielder Zambrela is out as well. Besle and Peralta have been out for a while now at visitors. They will also be without the less important forward Audino. Top scorers are ready: Wutrich, Rossini, Ciarrocchi, Threand and Josipović (41 goal combined).

    Aarau lost a lot of away games this spring, the last 4 in a row (Xamax, Zurich, Winterthur and Schaffhausen). After that, they lost to Wil and Wohlen.

    The Estonian team made it through the final, Kalev are in the 2-0 lead. Rapla beat Tartu Rock in semis 3-1. Tartu were in the final since 2033, cities of Taru and Talinn were in the finals 91 times in 92 seasons. It happened only once that neither of those two cities were in the finals. Rapla ended that and now enjoy the final series.
    The fact Kalev lost to Tartu for spot 3 in the Baltic league says they are not total underdogs. Kalev won over Tartu away. In the last round of regular season, Kalev beat Tartu 71-69 before the playoffs.
    The margin is set at 149,5 today. THe first two final games finished at 124-147. Kalev had 143 and 144 home against defense-oriented Parnu, 143 away.
    Rapla had 130, 128, 146 and 154 against Tartu in semis.
    Rapla and Kalev played a lot of h2h games this season. Two final games, as I said 147 and 124. Two in regular season 82-66 for Rapla and 80-77 for Kalev. Both were played at Rapla's arena. The last quarter of the second finished at 34-27. That first win was the first round of the season when Kalev were without problems and much better offensively. Two important guards are no longer on the team. Also, we have the cup game which Kalev won 82-55.
    I don't see any reason for the margin to be set this high. Rapla won't give up, they are pretty modest on the offensive end and this could be tough again. Details

    The Panamerican Cup will serve as qualifiers for the U21 WC which is played this summer. Only the best team from the North, Central and South America will go to the championship. Given the big difference in quality, Cuba and Brazil will probably take two top spots. Chile and Puerto Rico meeting is interesting as it secures spot two and avoids Canada (hosts) in QFs. Chile opened the competitions yesterday with a straight-sets defeat to Cuba but Kuba are the biggest competitors for the gold here. Chile came here with the U19 team which played the Panamerican final in March this year (0-3 Mexico), with two U21 internationals. Puerto Rico are here with the U19 team as well. They won spot three at U19 Panamerican cup. Compared to that team, they top setter is out, while Chile don't have middle blocker Rusch. The h2h in Panamerican final is important here. Chile won in in straight sets (25:17, 25:21, 25:21) and they should be even better now. The game of March 24th displays the difference in quality, there is also motivation, somewhat more experienced players for Chile and that is enough for me to go with the handicap. Chile could secure a spot at WC because they should be there based on FIVB ranking. Since there is no official conformation, I won't pay that any mind. Details
