    Last year in home games Paris have +5 Saran, +8 Cesson, +6 Toulouse, +11 Chambery, +8 Dunkerque, +6 Nimes, +7 Creteil, +7 Ivry, +9 Selestat againt teams outside of Top 5. They have +5 with Ivry at the start because they didn't open properly. It was a draw 20 minutes in and they got the goal difference in the last 10 minutes.
    Massy are newly promoted which makes Creitel and Selestat, the teams that were relegated, the most relevant opponents. Also, Massy lost to Selestat 29-27 in preseason, which means they're similar in quality. They have no relevant games last season. We can note two away games - Tremblay that beat them by 6 in the first half and Istres by 5 in playoffs for the top division. Paris are leagues ahead of those teams. Nantes beat them by 6 home this season.
    Paris will control this. I'm sure they will want to settle the game in the first half to avoid getting tired ahead of the meeting with Meskhov next weekend. Details

    Looking at games against teams from outside of Top5 (without Ademar, Logroñ, Granollers and Anaitasuna), Barcelona covered this handicap in 9 out of 11 home games last season. They didn't cover it against Morrazo, which is a slip in this story (second half 22-9) and in the last round against tough Huesca. With Genil they had 19-13 and in the other 8, there was at least an 8-goal difference after the first half, even against some teams better than Genil.

    This season in all of the games, Barcelona opened fiercely and controlled things from the start, starting with the Super Globe Esperance 19:10, Vardar and Füchse 15:12. In the Supercup, they had 17-11 against Longrono , in the championship 17-6 against Sagunto, who are very close to Genil quality-wise and 12-6 away against Huesca. Pascual wants his team to be focused from the start, the schedule is pretty busy and they are expected to try and settled this as early on as possible.

    Genil beat Bidasoa to take the pressure off and coach Soler says some players who didn't spend much time on the floor so far will get their chance today. Last season, they have a win away over Logrono when Logrono's form was in decline. Apart from that, they have convincing defeats to Granollers (11-17 HT) and Ademar (10-18). They are a rather good team from the middle of the table but they won't have say here. Barcelona should be 7-8 goals ahead by half time. Details

    Montpellier seem great in the new season. They have: Leipzig +4, Esperance Tunis +8, Medvedi +15, La Rioja +5, Elverum +5 in preseason. All of those opponents possess good quality. They also have St Raphael +8, in the league Chambery +11, and Metalurg +10 in CL. In preseason, they lost to Kristianstad and Chambery but that isn't very important here. Much more important are wins over Medvedi, La Rioja and Elverum from the end of preseason. Last year away with relevant opponents from mid-table they have: +4 Toulouse, +5 Dunkerque, Aix +9, Nimes +13. H2h games with Nimes last season +13 and +7. When it comes to top three teams last season, Nimes have -3 Paris (after Paris opened badly and lost first half by 7 but won the second one by 10), -3 Nantes (-5 at HT) and Montpellier -13. There are also home defeats: Aixa (-4), Chamberya (-2), Toulousea (-5) i St Raphaela (-2). Since this is the Northern France derby match, Montpellier won't open like PSG. The rivalry is great and they will try and do this properly. I have no doubts they can control the match and record a new win easily. Their team is much better and form is good too. Details

    Coach Bauerman prefers tough and aggressive game style. Last year, he took over Wurtzburg mid-season and improved the defense. This summer they limited opponents to lower numbers. They lost to Lietuvos away 66-71, to Siauliai 70-74, and beat fast-paced Telekom 71-67 on neutral grounds. The only problem is the AEK game which they lost 85-87 but AEK played super-fast in preseason (beat Bayreuth 90-85, Spirou 98-91, Braunschweig 100-97, yesterday UNICS 88-85). Istanbul BB had many ups and downs last season and didn't change that in preseason. They went high with offense-oriented teams and lower with those less offense-oriented. They played 59-58 with Sakary Buyuksehir in the last test game and earlier lost to Ludwigsburg 72-81. This is the first out of two games in FIBA Europe Cup 1st round qualifiers and will definitely not have overtime. An intense finish is not likely either. Details

    Ajax rarely played only two competitions at the start of the season. After being knocked out of CL and then EL, championship and the cup is all they have left. That is why they will be very focused and motivated today. In the first cup round they are to face fourth-tier Scheveningen away. The game will take place at Den Haag's stadium where Ajax played a championship game just three days ago. They recorded a 1-1 draw.

    That draw was a slip, especially given all the attempts Ajax had. They will now have a better chance of improving efficiency. Coach Kaizer decided to put only three starters from that game of three days ago on the list for this match (goal keeper Onana, midfielder van den Beck and forward Younes).

    Ajax opened last season's cup with a 5-0 win over Willem II. In the second round, they trashed third-tiers Kozakken Boys 6-1. Not many players from the A team played those games.

    Scheveningen finished last season in spot 5 (fourth division) and didn't open this one brilliantly. They played Spijkenisse at 1-1 and lost to VVOG 0-3 and Almere II 1-3. They played Den Haag this summer and lost 0-7. That says it all about the difference in quality between them and Ajax, who won't be happy with anything but a convincing win today. Details

    Cedevita changed their game style and will definitely be slower this season. Based on that they acquired players before the season. I think defense will be their key segment. I through about team under at FMP, both total and first half. Cedevita allowed 77 twice in preseason, to Rogaska and Igokea, but this is the first game in which they will be complete. FMP got limited to 70 against Budućnost, to 75 against faster-paced Horsens, 73 Bremerhaven in preseason. They will want to play faster but I think they lost quality. Apić, Davidovc, Lazarević and Austin (all key players) are gone and the acquisitions don't seem good enough. Before this game, the coach said they have 4 young players looking to engage in some outplaying with the opponents. Cedevita have taken this seriously, they're going for the first trophy and I think FMP will stay under 77. Two h2h games from last season are not relevant because of all the changes on teams.     I expect an efficient game between teams that are in spot 2 and 3 when it comes to goals conceded average. The home averaged 2,97 and the visitors 3,31 goal per game. Only 4 rounds are left in regular season. Gangwon are in the final spot (6) that leads into the race for the title. Pohang are 7 points short of them and need to try and get the win today. Since both teams are expected to be offense-oriented, we should see at least 3 goals here.

    Pohang have 10 overs in 14 home games and have scored 2 goals in the other 4. Two unders are in the first two games of the season, both of which they won 2-0 against the worst teams in the league. Another two unders were agaisnst Joennam who are right below them in the table. It was 1-1 in both meetings.

    Gangwon are by far the most efficient away team in the league with 3,8 goals on average. They have 13 overs in 15 away games. Both games that were unders finished at 1-1 (against the aforementioned two worst teams). In all 15 games, both teams scored at least one goal each. In their 3 last championship games, we saw 18 goals in total. The results were: 3-2, 3-4, 3-3 (two of those were away games).
