    Braga don't oscillate in the 90 minutes like they did last year, but there are big differences in their away and home games. They still lose away games, and keep up with Europe thanks to home games where they win. THey have to keep the series positive against the last team of the league. Last summer, they invested a lot so the expectations are higher than what they showed. They scored 10 in four games at home, and conceded only two goals. Three opponents were stronger than Gil, one as good as Gil, and if Benfica couldn't stand up to them, Gil Vicente won't. In games like these, the trap is usually in underestimating the opponent, but Conceição isn't a coach who'll allow something like that. Gil aren't playing well, and because of a weak roster, they don't have room for improvement. The atmosphere isn't good, the club president threatened the players, mentioned the winter transfer window, and also suspended the captain Peixoto. They came back defeated from the last two away games, against the first-league teams where the defense conceded five goals, and confirmed their status of being the worst in the league. Even the last three seasons, since they came back to Primeira, they didn't come back from Braga with under 3 goals conceded, and considering Braga's home games, Barcelosa club is expected to continue its agony. It could happen that the underdog surprises the favorite this early in the season and I think that is precisely what could happen in this game since Bisonte already proved to be good in the match with Conegliana. A bit more focus on their part could have seen them forcing a tie-break in that game. I would not be surprised if they win a set today. That would get them over this margin. Their away games are not relevant either since they clearly play a more defense-oriented game away. Jusup said that Zagreb will change their game style ahead of the season, but they are still putting a lot of pressure on the opponent, engaging in outrunning and force transition. They scored less than 82 only in Osijek (74), scoring 101 and 91 in two other games. But, the defense is not very good.     Tatran took advantage of Vojodina's poor opening in Slovakia to take the lead in the first ten minutes, sailing through the rest of it. Vojvodna's top player Elezovic got injured in that game but should be back on the team, which is why I think this game will be much different. If it does, this margin makes no sense.
    Vojvodina are an extremely defense-oriented team, with their games ending at an average of 52.8 goals. They recorded only two overs at that margin - the aforementioned 66 in Slovakia and a 44-22 win over Zeleznicar, whom they destroyed in the Serbian Supercup. The third most productive game was when their ailing team met Meshkov away (34-22), the fourth one is the CL qualifier with Targos Beva (30-25), followed by a defeat to Zagreb 24-29. All the other games ended at 52 or less goals, meaning that only the ones they lost or won easily ended at over 52. That is not to be expected today since Vojvodina have all the players to count on.
    They particularly tough home, limiting Vardar to 26 goals, Metalurg to 25. The best team in the league Veszprem scored 32 in their head to head game, limiting them to 13, but Tatran are no Veszprem.
    Vojvodina and Tatran met one other time this season - in a CL qualifying game that ended at 46 goals. Vojvodina put up a good fight to Tatran home (24-25) last year, after an easy away defeat 37-26.
    Players of the Slovakian team have participated in their respective national team campaigns last week, then played a Cup game in Bratislava (14-9 by half-time, scored 45 in the end) and now expect a very tough challenge. Vojvodina are capable of standing up to Tartan and this game is more likely to be like their close games in Croatia (Zagreb 25-21, Nexe 27-26) then a fast-pace, highly-productive game. Details

    Open odds on Smitkova's win were higher than the one today, but I still see certain value in it. Schiavone had 3-9 ratio up until this tournament, including this season, in the last four years indoors. She got three wins here, but let's take a look at those. Dulgheru is a clay player through and through, she managed to give Schiavone a hard time. The same goes for Schmiedlova, she managed to take a set. Hogenkamp played the most matches in her career on clay, and she gave Schiavone a hard time, too. What does Smitkova have that those earlier opponents don't? First of all, her serve. Also, a good game on this tournament, she's got the game for the indoors and plays better than all the previous Schiavone's opponents. The Italian could play her game in all the matches so far here, she managed to get her opponents to play rallies, and that suits her best because she could change the ball direction whenever she wanted. That won't pass with Smitkova. She moves very well and leaves a good impression in long rallies. This can't be 50-50 match as some bookmakers would suggest according to everything we've seen here and in the past. Schiavone used what was offered here, but her tennis was far from great. This is indoors, with fast conditions, and the serves and the hit strength show here. Smitkova is better than Schiavone in that regard, and she has my trust here. Especially because of the games on this tournament, but also because of her games indoors this year. Details

    Zadar are underrated here and a counter-handicap seems like a very good option here. They are doing much better home than away this season, having beaten Igokea and Levski, and lost to Crvena Zvezda in Zadar. Olimpija are doing well in Euroleague, which means they're not as oriented on ABA League. Zadar have tall players capable of standing up to Begic and Omic, Sobin and Kraljevic are in good rhythm, while back court players Bosnjak, Sirko and Ramljak can deal with Olimpija's players. Zadar will rely on Florence in offense, but the American is not at his early season level. I expect his better performance today and Zadar can definitely cover the handicap if that happens. Olimpija lost to Metalac home the last round, they're vulnerable in this competition and I think this bet has value. Details

Pazar lost three games so far, but out of the three, only the defeat to Mladi Radnik can be regarded as a failure. They failed to use their chances and got unlucky in the Indjija game, just like in the one with Partizan. Novi Pazar have a good team lead by former Serbian international Paric, libero Kapuk won silver medal with the U23 team, Zatric and Hamzagic played at Budvanska rivijera, which makes Novi Pazar a good team. Spartak simply took advantage of the favorable draw and haven't done anything brilliant. I expect them to record their first defeat today. Home team said they will try and win today. They met Spartak away in preseason to defeat them 4-1. It may not mean anything, but 4-1 does suggest we shouldn't underrate Novi Pazar today. Details

    Tarnobrzeg didn't show any progress in the championship so far. They almost don't play defense. They concede about 100 points per game, and it reminds us of street basketball. They lost all the games with a double-digit difference, from the better clubs like Turow and Slask by 36 and 24. Their coach, also the club president, keeps saying they need reinforcements, but they don't have the money to bring any. They're playing against Koszalin today, who can be described as one of the best Polish clubs. Coach Miličić points out Koszalin never had a roster this wide. They showed quality by defeating Asseco by +16, or Trefl by +28, and those two are way above Tarnobrzeg. Koszalin concede 30 points per game less than their today's opponent. They're much stronger defensively, as well as in the paint because the home team don't have a true center. In the Polish league, every club has to have two Polish players on court at all times, which is a big problem for Tarnobrzeg because Polish players in the team are much weaker than those playing in Koszalin.     Bordeaux won two derbies against Toulouse, but I don't think that's a sign of getting back in the form. Sagnol rotated all the players, changed a few tactics, and managed to find the way in the right moment. Realistically speaking, they could've lost both matches - in that case, I'd be writing about a crisis of an inexperienced team and a row of five games with no win.
    Lens outplayed Toulouse more convincingly than the guests, and created problems to Marseille on Sunday... They're a rising team, young players grow with each round, they play in front of their own fans and I expect them to at least avoid a defeat.     Mladenovic has a small role as a favorite here, but the odds are set to 50-50. I agree with that, and it's really hard to give someone advantage here. It's hard to expect a one way match here. Mladenović played at least one long set (two tie breaks) in all three matches here. Dodin, on the other hand, played two, but Piter had 4-1 in the first set. In many cases, this situation leads to a tough, dramatic match, with lots of ups and downs. I personally see one like that today. Both Mladenović and Dodin have strong first serves, they play really aggressively and their game knows no plan B on the court. This is the semifinal, the stakes are high, both are French players, and I'm convinced neither will give up easily. Especially because of their styles, matches played here, and the home court, I see this match having high numbers. The margin can be passed in two sets, especially because in five out of six matches played here, each had at least one long set, and the whole match makes me think there'll be three sets here.     Dramas had big problems with realization in the first games, as expected. This team seeds are Americans who came from college basketball, and it made sense they needed time to adjust. However, as the season goes on, I expect to be seeing them in better offensive performances, starting today. Obie Trotter's arrival is definitely a huge plus, his experience will benefit this young team greatly, and Dramas should look a lot better. As for the defense, things are working great, Dramas didn't concede over 74 points this season, and Mexas will rely on a good defense in today's game, as well. Both teams have 1-3 ratio before this game, which makes it very important, especially for Dramas who aim for the playoffs, and the following weeks will definitely bring defeats against Olympiacos and Panathinaikos.
    Koroivos are also in a series of three defeats, and I don't see tham as favorites today. They were defeated in their debut against Trikala, at home against Rethymn and in Solun last week as expected. They didn't leave a better impression that Dramas, quite the opposite, I think the guests have a lot more room to improve. They are a team that are open about aiming for the playoffs, even the placement among the top six, while the main goal for Koroivos is to secure staying in the league. Dramas lost three games by 6, 4, and 4 points, against much stronger teams than Koroivos is. I expect a tough, tight game (a very good option is Koroivos under 74.5) where the guests have more chance to win, and if Koroivos do win, I doubt it'll be convincing. Details

    On the one hand, there's a team that's not a big offensive threat, except when the opponent relaxes completely, like Lietuvos Rytas did in the last round. They have five overs in nine matches on this margin, but Dzukija can hardly score 110 points, like Neptunas and Šiauliai did at the beginning of the championship. The other three overs happened because they conceded over 80. Dzukija scored over 80 only against Lietkabelis this season, against the desperate Nevežis and two over teams - Šiauliai and Pien. Dzukija are a defensively oriented team, and having seven overs on this margin isn't a realistic image of their game. They went over against Šiauliai and Pien, and against the untouchable Neptunas, Žalgiris and Lietuvos when they conceded a lot, and against the miserable Nevežis. In the match against Mažeikiai, the game ended with 127 points total. I expect it to be up to 140 today because the home team play slower, and won't rush because they have a 0-9 ratio. Dzukija might play without their first scorer Dilys, and if he plays, his finger is injured, so he'll hardly score 15-20 points. Details

    If this game wasn't played in front of empty stands, the odds might have been set correctly, but even then, it would be really questionable. This way, it's a game in front of empty stands, and Aris definitely can't be this big of favorite. This is a duel between teams where the quality and the experience are on the guests' side, they continued confirming great results from the last season by winning in this season. Defeating Olympiacos was the biggest win in their history, and even after that, the team remained calm and continued winning. Experience is a great advantage for them, and will be very important today. They'll push their own rhythm and can play defense as well as Aris will. These two teams played two games last year, Kifisia were defeated by two just after entering the first league, and they won 81-74 at home. Kifisia were better 73-69 at the beginning of the season at home, they were calmer in the final moments. Both teams had a similar path in the season so far, and both got similar wins, but Kifisia were a bit more convincing in theirs. I expect a tough game where the winner will be decided in the final moments, and then Kifisia's experience, and the empty stands, should be the guests' advantage. This counter handicap is a kind of a security, if Aris do manage to win, it'll be very tight. Details

    Both teams are on the same 2-1 record after three rounds, with the same number of lost and won sets. Galatasaray have been among the top four Turkish teams for years now but they are not are good as the other three teams this season. Only two players from last season didn't leave the club and new players that joined need more time with the rest of the team and that is their main problem this season.

    Canakkale have a brand new team this season, having acquired two good quality Polish players, and an inexperienced Spaniard Lamas. Ceda Aktas, former European and World champion, will be their main attacker. Galatasaray's foreigners might be more renowned, but Galatasaray's positions are not good and they don't have much substitutions to choose from. Galatasaray met Besiktas last round and barely managed to win, having lost one set. Besiktas are not as good as Canakkale, their first round defeat 3-1 home only went to prove it. Cannakale have more experienced reception and organization, they already recorded two wins against ambitious teams and proved that they have what it takes to get at least a set against Galatasaray.     Gyori recorded a relatively easy win last week, having contorted the whole match. But, the feeling is that Viborg could have done better. The score was tied 22 minutes into the game, Viborg's goal keepers were better but their defense players failed to step up and stop Gyori's scoring run. They lacked the usual toughness and fierceness and clearly needed better preparation. The offense made too many mistakes obviously affected by the defeat in Danish cup semifinal that happened only a few days earlier. After a championship win, Viborg came to Budapest with a much higher confidence level and now have one extra player on the roster. That's important since Gyori have psychically very powerful Loke they need to fight against the whole match. Gyori are the favorite but they're at least 30% weaker than the team that was lead by goal keeper Lunde and Gorbicz in the first game. Gorbicz might do seven-meter throws only today, leaving Aguilar as the main organizer on the court. She needs more time to get a hang of the European handball. As for goal keepers, neither Grubisic not Herr are capable to make up for the stability that Lunde provided her team with. Viborg are in a much better situation now and I expect a much closer match.     Tofas are unable to defend and that is the main reason for this tip. They have only one under at this margin in 8 official games this season when the game with Fenerbahce ended at 150 points. Every other game was an over, some of them well above the margin. They conceded 80 points on Tuesday against Saratov, who are noting special. Their last season head to head games with Besiktas ended at 150 and 164 and Tofas' defense was much tougher back then. Since they underwent many changes, things are different now. The one preseason head-to-head ended with Besiktas' 91-79 win. Tofas conceded 93 to Efes and 79 to Eskisehir, meaning Besiktas will score a lot too. They're offensively much better than both of those teams. Holland changed some things which got them on a 6 game winning run. The numbers were not as high in their games as they are in Tofas' because they played much tougher opponents. Either way, I expect more than 150 points to be scored today. Details

    Considering these are two best offenses of the league, I believe this'll be an efficient game. Elverum scored 204 goals so far, 29.14 per game, and Halden was one goal better, so their average is a bit bigger. Elverum went over this margin 5 times, of course, against the teams that play faster handball, run a lot and shoot a lot. They had tough battles against OIF and Bod who are the best defensive teams, and they crushed Drammen and BSK, which I doubt Halden will. Another fact that works for this statistic is that three days ago, they played a tough game against OIF, so the defense might not be as strong, especially in the second part when fatigue starts taking its toll. Halden, on the other hand, play great. THey were under the set margin only twice, against Stord who played bad offensively, and Notteroy who don't allow anyone to score much. Their back line is great with Carslen, Jacobsen, and since coming back from an injury, Sodergran's been playing great, too. The three of them score a lot, and work great together on the court.
