    Sport is always a huge dose of psychology, and the circumstances ahead of the third game are connected with the psychological aspect. After they lost by 31 in the first game, Partizan reacted, played incredibly well for 20 minutes, but then Zvezda reacted, improved their defense, took away easy points from Partizan, won the second half 50-32 and showed that they are superior right now. With that, they won in a way that hurts the most, with a crazy three pointer from the backboard in the last second. Partizan are down 0-2 and they need three back-to-back wins, two away and that is not realistic against this Zvezda. In my opinion, it is more realistic to expect what we have already seen in three out of four halftimes in this final, Zvezda's absolute domination and easy win. Of the four games in this play-off, they won three by 10 or more, while Partizan lost by 5 at FMP, and 31 at Zvezda, so as soon as they played away. From the tactical aspect, the key thing is that Partizan's backcourt line doesn't have the necessary quality to bring as many points against defensive Zvezda as Kinsey, Jovic, Guduric, Lazic and Simonovic can. Everything points to the fact that we will be watching Zvezda's win. Details

    The Dutch and the South Africans are playing their second friendly match in Waalwijk today. The Dutch won three days ago, 1-0, but unlike that game where there were no viewers, this one's got a more official character and will be played in front of an audience. That means the home team will be a lot more motivated. The Dutch had a combined lineup in the first duel, without the seven starters who played the Olympic qualifiers three months ago, when Netherlands got the second place with four points, and didn't manage to get placed to Rio (Sweden 1-1, Norway 1-4, Switzerland 4-3). Three days ago, Miedema from Bayern and the second scorer of the Bundesliga, Van der Berg (Liverpool), van Veendaal and van de Donk (Arsenal) didn't play. The best Dutch lineup was announced today, so they'll be a lot more convincing today than in the first match when they scored a goal in the third minute and stopped. They'll have a lot of good players today, and will show quality compared to the South Africans who are a lower level of women's football, two levels below the best African teams like Nigeria and Cameroon.     Riske has a title from Eastbourne last week. I don't think the odds would have been set at 1,25 at her here had she not won that title. And she was just one point short of the defeat. Barthel is being underestimated here just because she didn't play for quite a while now. But, I would not write her of here.
    On the contrary. She made a comeback in Paris and played three sets. She trashed Falconi in the second set, which was a very godo sign. What is key here is the fact she likes grass court. Her serve and shots do well here. Granted, she has no wins on this surface since 2014 but she lost to Top 30 players in both matches (Pavlyuchenkova and Bencic). The year before she lost to Kvitova and Ivanovic and to Zakopalova. Her opponent here almost lost her Top 100 spot and wasn't having a good season until Eastbourne. She has just two WTA wins since mid-March. She can do well on clay court but Barty caused her problems in the semis last week and Moor in the final. She was No. 300 at the moment. There is no doubt Bertens is better than both of them. She is Riske's level and that she is not given a lot of chance here just because she took a long break. If Barty and Moore could have covered this against the American, so can Barthel at any moment on grass court. She was not trashed on this surface many times and definitely not by players barely in Top 100. Details

    Barty made a comeback after taking a break with personal reasons while Peng underwent back surgery last year. Her performances this season are poor. Also, she said she is still recovering and that she isn't ready for the WTA level and that she doesn't want to risk a new injury. She played ITFs lately. Late last month, she played two weak home tournaments. She lost to Sabalenka by 6 games and to Lu by 3. The odds were below 1,45 in those matches. She also lost sets at tournaments where the odds were 1,11 (Zhao). Let's take a look at her WTA matches this season. She beat Van Uytvanck but she hasn't played since after asking for medical time out in her match and having to have surgery later on. Peng got lucky. She lost by 11 games to Putintseva, by 8 to Niculescu and 9 to Lucic. This is the first grass court match for her this season. Barty has had 10. I don't think that will be a problem because 8 out of her 10 wins were in straight sets. SHe beat Paszek by 7 games here and she has the game for the grass court. The handicap is set at -4,5. That's high but we have a very specific situation here. Barty has the form (9-1 on grass court since 28.05.) while Peng has no form and no matches on this surface. Her motivation is focus on the Olympics. She didn't do much progress at ITF tournaments at local ITF tournaments and didn't even reach semis in the last two. We have players on two very different trajectories here. I've decided to go with the straight sets win even though the -4,5 handicap makes a good choice as well. Details
