    Canada were competitive to a degree in the last year's Pan American games in Toronto, even though they lost by 9 to Uruguay and by 5 to Puerto Rico, who are convincingly weaker than Greenland. Greenland might not sound like a serious team handball wise, but their main players play in the Danish GOG, and now also have a good goalie. Canada came without almost all the players who played last year. None of the Europeans they collected hoping to do something are here, and they brought a younger lineup that is quite weaker than the last year's that suffered those defeats we mentioned, and also by 17 to Brazil.     I saw both games in Varna yesterday. While the Macedonians took a long time to break Albania, the Danes displayed 'atomic' basketball compared to the first game against Bulgaria. They lost by literally one point, having squandered the 2-0 lead away. The Macedonians didn't get even close to dropping a set against Albania. Who knows how the game would have gone had they not been able to make up for the 8-14 deficit in the first set. Their straight sets win did nothing to impress me. Gjorgiev played alone and that worked against Albania but it will not work against Denmark today. The Macedonian's lack of offensive power is evident. Ljaftov had just 37 percent efficient against a very bad Albanian block. Mihalov got just 4 balls in the whole game because he's the libero, not the receiver. The second setter (!?!) and the younger Gjorgjev brother had to play the receiver position at moments, which says it all about their struggle with that position.

    Those are the results from previous h2h matches. All 4 were played Macedonia before packed stands. Macedonia has been doing their best the last two years, especially in 2015. They reached the Final Four both times but Denmark always caused them problems. Compared with 2015, they are without Simovski, Milev, Gjorgjevskog and Karanovic. Looking back to matches from 2014, we need to add Nikolovski to the list of absent players. Denmark, on the other hand, play with an almost identical team. The Danish coach said the key matches for them are those with Macedonia and Albania in Varna. The point they got yesterday was just a bonus. I'd say this is the key match for Denmark because if they go 1-2, getting back to Varna early July will be tough. Yesterday's win over Macedonia cannot convince me they can be favorites against Denmark. This is the clash between Gjorgiev and Denmark. The win for the Danes is a very good bet. Details

    This is a default pick when talking about the Spanish futsal. Inter Movistar, the title defender, and Barcelona, one of the teams with the most trophies in futsal. They're playing the second game of the championship final today. Every mistake is super relevant and the focus is on the defense. Neither Jesus Velasco nor Marc Carmona are coaches who will risk it to get to the main goal. The first game showed it. It was evened out until Barcelona made some rookie mistakes that directed the game to Inter's side in the very end. There were more chances than I expected in the first part, I'll give credit for that to it being the first game and not creating the pressure of getting a specific result. The goalies had their say, also, Jesus Herrero and Paco Sedana. The two of them are definitely the two best goalies in LNFS. The second game will create a lot more pressure, especially for Barcelona. If Inter go to Barcelona with two goal advantage, Carmona and his team won't fare well. Even though the total under looks good, I'll go for under two goals in the first half because Barcelona played the offense with the goalie-player awfully in the first game, and three goals were scored in that period.
