    Egypt were in under because if a horrible offensive end that Iran have. They cannot play a game at 120 points. That is why the margin is set quite low today but Iran are not here now. Japan are completely different than then. They are fast and have good offense and better tactics than Iran. Japan are trying to build a team for the next Olympics and have great potential. This should be much more efficient than the margin suggest.
    Japan played last year at the Asian championship with Iran at 158 and 136. That is why it's not expected for this game to have less points. Egypt are well ahead of Iran offense-wise. Details

    The total under is the most appealing choice for me here. The stakes are extremely high (the WC semis) and I think this will be a fight for every point. When it comes to comparable games, we have the friendly at 106 from a tournament in Spain. Italy have two unders at this margin with Germany (at 106 and 117). They have an under with Mali but the greatest argument for this is the last Italian game with Lithuania. It ended at 141 points but Lithuania scored only 68, 28 of which in the last quarter. Spain have a just as good defense - they limited Argentina in QFs at 128 points and Canada at 73. They don't have many unders at this margin in test games - France at 126, Germany 130 but this is a specific situation - semis and I don't think a lot has changed since the last friendly. On the contrary, this is just more important and I think we have a lot of leeway even at this low margin.

    Spain's team under at 65,5 is a good option as well. Details

    Overall under is also good here, but since it is likely that the winners will be decided early, we will go with the first half under. This Greek team are defensively powerful, but can struggle in offense, and are unable to easily score over 40 in the first half. In the preparation they went over 60 in the first half only against Britain (31-34), mostly because of weak defense, and Britain scored only 17 more points in the second half. That Britain are stronger than Iceland. At the 2015 U18, Greece haven't had a first half over 60 points, and they never scored over 32. There is also a head-to-head against Iceland (31-22, end 63-43). In comparison to that game, Greece are stronger and Iceland weaker. Fasoula brings Greece offensive quality, and a lot in defense.
    Iceland's Halfdanardottir and Davidsdottir, who are not here, scored almost 20 per game combined at that championship (Iceland's average at 56), the rest of the team is pretty much the same (no on over 7 pts per game). Even with the two of them they struggled in defense against stronger teams, and I don't think they can handle Greek defense and their team under in halftime is also not a bad choice. However, since they have not conceded a lot at that championship (none over 63, Denmark 55, Romania 63), in combination with their head-to-head and Greece's offensive problems, the overall halftime under is the best option for me.     I expect the Dutch to control this and win. These two teams met once before this tournament and The Dutch won by 8 points. They controlled that game, had +15 by the end of first quarter and +21 by HT. That was their first test game. This is the start to the championship and they won't hold back. They are bursting with confidence after winning all test games, among them the one over Portugal's A team and their U20 team. For comparison's sake, Turkey lost to them by 7 points. The Dutch had their last test against Germany in Divison B but I don't think they're much weaker than Turkey. Germany want to go back into Divison A, they beat Sweden once but couldn't get even close to the Dutch. Turkey had their tests against Italy (-13), Russia (-19) and Italy (21). Turkey had some better results in test games (a win over Hungary, stood up to Bosnia once and beat them once). They struggle with offense and I think the Dutch will take advantage of that.

    A good option here is a sure win, as well as Turkey team under due to obvious offensive problems. Details

    This Latvian generation have been dominating with their defense and I doubt they will go over 120 points many times in the championship. At the U18 championship in 2015 they played in Division B, and no one scored 50 and over against them, but they struggled against inferior teams. The two most relevant games are against Slovakia - 41-39 and 45-49. In the preparation for this tournament, they played 5 games, at 120 and 101 against Belarus, against Poland at 118, 106 and 94 points. Belarus later played two games at around 140 against Ukraine, Poland before that against Slovakia two games at around 140 as well (Third at 89 in three quarters).
    Key players in this team were also at the U20 championship last year, where Latvia had a good performance, and won the 7th position. They went over 120 in two games against France (126), in the play-off against Poland at 124 in regulation time, and 146 against Greece. They were at 105 at the start against Netherlands.
    Lithuania had some overs before the tournament, rarely over 130, against weaker teams and in games that were not really important, and that is not a downside to this bet. At the U18 in 2015 they had some realistic downsides (150 against Italy, 140 Hungary), but they have shown that they can play good defense.
    In the preparation for the championship, Lithuania and Latvia played two games at 112 and 129 points.This is game is much more important, Italy are the favorites and the defeated team will probably have to try and get them off the bottom against the hosts. Opening of the tournament, potentially added nervousness and I think this will be a tough game. Details
