    I expect Spain to win convincingly and cover the margin. Even though there are no comparable games, I think Spain are much better than Israel. The Spanish team consists of their top players, they are all playing important roles in their teams, both in the championships and in Europe. The Israeli team consists of young players from the national championship, and the difference between the Spanish and Israeli leagues is great. Spain are also more motivated because they are fighting for a chance to play at the Eurobasket with the senior team. They are playing at home and I don't expect them to take it easy. The only downside to this bet is lack of relevant comparable games, but the quality difference is too big and Spain are more motivated than Israel, who cannot count on several key players. Details

    Because of the importance of the game for Slovenia, and their defense led by great goalkeeper Kastelic, I believe that Egypt will not score over 12 goals in the first half. At this tournament, in the first halves, Egypt scored 15 against France, 11 against Denmark and Sweden. At the previous championship in Russia, they scored at halftime: Spain 11, Norway 8, Iceland 12, Germany 13 and Sweden 10. They went over today's margin only against Germany, but Germany had a weak team at that tournament and ended 17th.
    On the other side, Slovenia are good in defense and they are trying to copy their senior team. At this championship they conceded 11 to Denmark, 12 to Qatar and France. Only 12 conceded goals against the top team shows they have a great defense. In the qualifiers for this tournament they conceded, at halftime, 10 against Ukraine and Slovakia, and 12 against Kosovo. At the previous WC in Russia they conceded 9 against Tunisia, 8 Argentina, 13 Brazil and Japan, but they had an early lead against Brazil and Japan and later played more relaxed.
    Considering everything mentioned, I believe in Slovenia's strong start, they are trying to reach the top spot, and I believe they will be maximally focused from start to finish, which will result in less of Egypt's goals in the first half. Details

    Spain will control this from the start. They were runners-up at the U18EC while Puerto Rico finished fourth in the last Americas championship. What's interesting here is the under at Puerto Rico. I said they will work hard for every point here. They were limited to low numbers to Canada and the US but I still have my doubts about this margin.

    A better option is first half under at Puerto Rico at 25,5. Puerto Rico had unders against Canada, US, Brazil, Mexico who are much worse. Spain have good defense and their preparation games aren't comparable because they always met far better opponents. Looking at the last championship, only Russia and France went over. Italy and Latvia went over by half time in preparation games but they got limited to just 46 and 50, respectively, in the end. Puerto Rico don't have offense that is good enough and will struggle here. They don't have the height and a proper center and Spain will be able to stop their back court. Details

    This margin is a consequence of previous results Morocco recorded and the tough game Algeria played with Iceland yesterday. However, I don't find that to be relevant for today. Morocco cannot stand up to Iceland and this won't be as tough as yesterday's game was. Iceland, as a rule, finish these these kind of games at higher numbers because they don't try very hard in defense. They have 36-27 with Argentina and 48-24 with Arabia. At the WC in Russia, they had 47-19 with Venezuela, in last year's EC qualifiers 45-20 with Italy and 45-21 with Bulgaria. Looking at some games with opponents of similar quality but less importance: Croatia 33-29, Denmark 28-34, Poland 38-33, Serbia 34-32...

    Morocco were pretty modest in offense so far but I think they're going to score their fair share of goals in the kind of a game I expect. I don't see it as a clash with Croatia, who are not Iceland's level in offense but have kept the defense at a high level until the end. Morocco have 40-21 with Turkey in a preparation game for this and 43-15 last year at the African championship. I see this going closer to 60 goals. Details

    Hungary came in 5th at U18 EC last year. Their only convincing defeat was to France who went on to win the championship (65-76). There are nine players from that EC here. All of the key players are there expect for 4th best scorer Studer. When preparing for the EC, Hungary beat France twice (61-55, 67-61) and lost to them once (61-65). That French team beat Australia and Canada later on. Hungary beat Turkey in preparation games 70-54, 79-37 and Croatia 76-59 away. They will be even better now since Torok joined the team.
    Mexico learned that they will play this WC in late May as FIBA gave them a wildcard after suspending Brazil. Mexico finished the U18 American championship in spot 5 and lost to teams like Puerto Rico. The only good-quality opponents they met were Canada, to whom they lost 56-87 (31-37). They are now weaker than last year because they are without second and third top scorer and the best rebounder from the American championship. Mexico do not possess the necessary height or strength. Their quality won't be enough for them to stand up to any of the serious European teams. Details
