    Isner has started both matches with a tie-break, that's the way things go with him. He focuses on his serve and then relaxes later on. He will be particularly careful her.     The odds make me show faith in Braga today. I didn't expect more than 1.65-1.70. The bookmakers usually overestimate Braga, so I was surprised by today's 1.90+, especially compared to last seasons when they played at home against Estoril. Estoril are weaker compared to then, first of all, their coach, regardless of Jose Couceiro being longer in the business than his predecessor. He not only won't be able to repeat what Marco Silva did in the last two seasons, but probably won't be able to do it for a long time. While Estoril sold a few of their starting team players this summer, including their best player Evandro, Braga kept the backbone of their team, and added a few reinforcements, so I have no doubts they'll kick Estoril out of top f. Estoril will hardly get to Europe again, and they're coming here still shook up from the high defeat in the last round, when they conceded five goals against Rio Ave, whose coach mentioned fatigue from traveling to Sweden before that match.
    Braga are so much stronger that hardly any of Estoril players could have a spot in Braga, except maybe their goalie. They're better, confirmed by a few Portuguese national team players, their bench is also stronger, and I think they have a better coach. They're playing at home, and I think these odds are too high, especially because they were 1.45 and 1.75 in the last two seasons. Braga celebrated both times, with three goals scored, and considering the h2h who tend to go over, I think the home team's win in the over is worth taking for a smaller stake.     I don't like playing handicaps this big, especially not when the teams are more or less serious, like Finland today. However, too many things are on USA's side. It's stupid to count all the players and explain that the difference is like heaven from hell. I think that what's more important is that the Americans are fully motivated. They have a younger team hungry for a win, and a coach who insists on maximum defense for the whole 40 minutes. Finland will lose in rebounds by far, and will have a hard job getting easy shots in the back line, because of the USA's back's aggressiveness, so they'll lose a lot of balls because they have no real point guard. Finland lost by 30 to Australia and Lithuania in the preparation period, and USA are a level or two above them. I think this can go to 50, and I have to take this handicap, as big as it is. Details

    I don't see why Heerenveen are favored so much against Utrecht when Heerenveen might be the club that has lost the most quality in the Dutch top flight. One could see that in the first three rounds when they played with 2 new players and a radically rejuvenated Feyeneord got more than they deserved. They lost against Dordrecht, and got a very lucky point in Feyenerod, while they never would have scored against Excelsior had the away keeper not conceded a penalty and gotten a sending off.
    Heerenveen are aware that the departure of Finbogasson, Basacikoglu and Ziyech leaves them without attacking potential and that's why the focused on strong defense, but they are without their main man Buijs. But the bet against the hosts is not based on their weaknesses alone, but Utrecht's strength as well as they were quite a pleasant surprise in their triumph over Feyenord, both in terms of result and their quality game with good possession and game plan. They are very confident ahead of their favorite away fixture where they won even when the hosts were much stronger, and they can very much get at least a point today, if nothing more. Oar and Peterson are good assets, Barazite is a class act up front and their defense seems to be doing well. These high odds on Utrecht not losing the game seems like a complete miss from the bookies and I'll take it without any doubt. Details

    Senegal's team main forte is back court and rebounds. It's clear why that is so. They're extremely tall, athletic and strong physically. The thing is that Greece can match Senegal easily there with Bouroussis, Printezis, Kaimakolgu and the rest of "fours" and "fives". When that is the case, Senegal have offensive blackouts, like they did against Spain when they only scored 49 points. The Senegalese can't really brag with their offensive numbers, they scored 61 against Estonia, and 47 to Dominican Republic... The Greeks are hard workers who will base a lot on their defense when they lack quality in the offense, and even though the handicap on Greece seems likely, I'll still go for the Africans' team under.     One or two matches can fool you, 10, not so much. In the last five seasons, these two clubs played ten matches, and every one was at least 60 goals. Two times, it was exactly 60, the other eight were +65. If you take a look at their first matches of the season, they ended with 80, 66, 65 and 66 goals, and the last season, the match ended with 69 goals. The statistics are definitely showing an over, so today's match should end like that. Both teams' coaches are the same as the last year, Magelinskas and Eckl, so it's hard to expect drastic changes in the style of leading the team. Especially because both teams are rejuvenated compared to the last season, and it would be crazy to rely on rock solid defense - rejuvenating the team usually leads to more blunders in the defense, and more running, which both teams are prone to, and that should work for them, as well as for the over. Leoben's offense is also reinforced by the great Lithuanian middle back, so it shouldn't surprise us if the home team gets a few goals more than in the earlier seasons. Details

    I really don't get why the Czech deserved to be the favorites in today's match. They lost 2-3 to Romania, and if the Romanians had any focus, it'd be 1-3, and I think we saw the Czech team real state. On the other hand, Slovenia were defeated by Poland, they played a decent match, took a set and even fulfilled their goal, in a way. Comparing Poland and Romania is like comparing Ferrarri and Yugo. I think the Slovenians are a better team, more complete than the Czechs, they're definitely better technically and tactically, so the odds that are set aren't realistic. The Czechs are obviously put as favorites because of the home court, but Romanian coach pointed out that the audience were a weight for the Czech. Slovenia had more than a loud support against Poland yesterday. I don't see one thing I'd say the Czech have over Slovenia. Let's also not forget that the Slovenians got to EC through Serbia, Hungary, and Finland, three teams far stronger than the Czech, they have experience on tournaments like these, and I believe they can get their first win in Brno. Scola is a bold player, a fighter, a true captain who leads by example and will take responsibility in the offense, look for a ball. When they played the friendly match against Porto Rico in the preparations, he only spent 19 minutes on the court, and scored 16 points. Balkman and Clemente couldn't really cover him. Balkman is questionable today, and Clemente is still struggling with the finger injury. Scola is also a good free throw scorer, and in a match like this one, he could suffer from a lot of faults. Of course, I expect him to play +30 minutes because this match is important to Argentina. They're after a win, and that can't really happen without Scola's real performance. Details

    I thought about taking this match in over, but it seems to me that the safer option is Australia's win. I don't know why the bookmakers think this is an equal match, when I think the difference is significant here. Slovenia have the advantage only in their point guard Goran Dragic. Even that advantage is questionable when on the other side, the point guards are Dellavedov and Exum, two NBA players. Everything else is on the Australians' side. Jawai and Baynes will deconstruct the miserable Slovenian front court under the hoop. On the wing positions, Ingles and Newley can hardly be stopped, and I say again, I don't see Slovenia having an advantage, except for their point guard. If they play slow, they'll lose the transition with Dragic. If they rush and run, Australia will crush them because they love that rhythm. Slovenia don't really stand a chance here, in my opinion. Actually, not many do stand a chance against the Australians, so I really don't know why nobody trusts them. Details

    Salzburg are dreaming about placement to the Champions League group. Given 40 years, they're bound to make it, but when they couldn't do it this year, in their seventh attempt, with the best team they ever had, it shows there's something rotten in the Austrian club that easily dominates the national league. Slazburg are now reluctantly coming back to play the league, and a match against Sturm feels like a punishment, not the joy of trying to get the seventh consecutive win at the beginning of the championship.
    It's the right moment to place faith in Sturm, with the option that the Graz guest will score a goal. This option has really nice odds, and is based in a few facts. Besides the debacle in Malmo, there are also absences by the few home team's defenders, and also a pretty decent Sturm's offense who didn't score a goal only in the first match in Altach, and could have scored even then. Perhaps the guests won't get their chances easily in Salzburg, and if the match goes as expected, with Salzburg running constantly, we're convinced Sturm can score at least once.
    Besides, they did it eight times in the last 12 matches they played, and the ratio of strengths is pretty similar. The last time, Graz club even won here, and if the home team, physically and mentally drained as they are, don't keep up, then anything's possible here. We won't venture into betting about the result, but will remain convinced that Slazburg's net will shake at least once. Details

They're a team without a real center with Kirk Penney as the main man, a player plying his trade in mediocre Turkish clubs like Tranbzonspor or TED Kolejliler. As weak as the Turks are, their reserve players come from Galatasaray or Fenerbahce. So much for quality. In terms of performance, the Turks like to focus on defense and low-scoring games but they still know how to get into a counter. On the other hand, New Zealand have no options but going for a run'n'gun game. That's why I expect a high-scoring game in which the Turks can keep up the pace and score against organized defenses through their centers. In any case, I believe Turkey will go over 80 here and I will take this margin. Details

    Let's start with the obvious. Dario Šarić loves games like this. I don't expect too much organized defense in this game and I don't think there's a better player for transition than Šarić. He loves it and goes for it whenever he can. The best and the most recent example is the game with Lithuania. Another thing important for this bet. The Philippines have plenty of problems in creating their attacks, which should lead to interceptions, which is Šarić's expertise due to his great ability to read the play. In addition, he should have a mismatch against the Philippine power forwards Aguilar and De Ocampo. The former is tall but not too technically gifted so Šarić should be able to make use of that. And the latter is 196 cm tall, which is enough on its own. Details

    The logic of this bet is pretty clear. Ukraine play a very slow basketball which is no wonder considering their squad with lots of tall, strong players. During the preparations, they went over this margin only twice - by 1 point against Canada and against the ridiculous Philippine squad. Today's game is something else, the first competitive game and Ukraine are in for a tough task. Dominican Republic are not a world superpower but the team is very strong and athletic with several extraordinary individuals like NBA player Garcia. Even though their coach has emphasized they will have to keep things faster, that will not be possible against the slow Ukrainians. But what's important is that the Dominicans have done a good scouting of Ukraine. They know that stopping Jeter will be their main task and if they do that, Ukraine won't go over 70 points here.
